FRA-GEE-LAY.
Fragile.
I’m sure you all remember the scene in A Christmas Story when the LEG LAMP arrived in the box marked ‘Fra-gee-lay?’
If you don’t recall, Ralphie’s mom really wasn’t a fan.
That is how Mr. Hunt felt a few weeks ago when I brought home this gorgeous specimen.
I love this lamp. I am such a girl, so anything pink, sparkly, animal-printed, or feather-like immediately catches my eye.
I also LOVE lamps with tiny, crystal beads hanging down. I think they are so cute.
I want to start a collection. I already have 2, but I have the feeling if I bring anymore home, I may be sleeping with the turkey.
Maybe he and this guy can have a stare-down?
Oh fuuuuudge. I can’t wait for the holidays! :)

Hehe just the title of the post made me laugh :) I love the lamp! Alone it could add so much to a room.
Oh my god, I’m dying laughing. My family and I LOVED that movie – we still quote it all the time. Poor Ralphie!
I definitely think you should start hiding the turkey around the house in various places, as a sort of really scary hide and seek. Like when the hubby goes to get into the car – BAM! Turkey passenger. Or getting into the shower – BAM! Sketchy Peeping Turkey. Maybe the game will get so annoying he’ll remove it :)
Now that is a lamp! I love it. :) There’s a dentist in town who puts up that leg lamp every Christmas. You can drive by his office and see it shining in the window. Always makes me smile and remember “You’ll shoot your eye out…”
Lol! Oh, I love those lamps, too. In fact, I have one. Which at the moment is sitting unused on top of the armoire in the bedroom. But let’s not discuss that; after all it’s only been 2 years since we moved into this house. And the wood on my vanity table still needs replaced, too, so it’s still on my husband’s workbench. . . Maybe I should look for another lamp to match it. You think? We all really could use more beaded fringe in our lives.
It’s not a lamp … it’s a Major Award! :)
