Creamy White Bean Dip with Bacon.
Oh, gosh. This is truly one of the best dips I have ever tasted. And honestly, it is delicious without the bacon.
But I have this teeny tiny problem of having to add bacon to each and every dish on the planet. Do they have bacon rehab? Or bacon-aholics anonymous? Not that my bacon love is anonymous.
I used canned cannellini beans. They got the job done quickly.
Cannellini beans are my favorite bean. I love how creamy and mild they are. They really fit perfectly in so many dishes.
I’d like to frame this picture and place it in my bedroom.
I told you I have bacon issues.
Just look at how creamy, thick and delectable this is. There is bacon stirred in there. Tasty, salty, crispy bacon. It doesn’t get any better than that.
Creamy White Bean Dip with Bacon
1 can canellini beans, drained and rinsed
2-3 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
4 slices bacon, fried and crumbled
salt & pepper to taste
In a food processor, add beans and mix. Stream in olive oil until desired consistency is reached. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika, and mix again. Stir in most of the crumbled bacon. Top dip with remaining bacon.
The bacon + bean combo is one of my favorites. It is a must-try. Whether it’s baked beans with bacon, this dip, or beans from a can and freshly fried bacon off of a paper towel, you must give it a shot. I beg of you.

That dip looks fantastic! Might be an addition to my Super Bowl party menu!
oh holy bacon! this looks so amazing…you and your recipes rock my face off! i have both white beans and bacon at home….with which i will be making this recipe tonight
Definitely rethinking if I want to make hummus with the cannellini beans or bacon dip. I am thinking bacon wins just on the sole fact it is freaking bacon.
The only issue people have with bacon is they do not have enough stocked in case of (god forbid) a belly shortage in 2010.
Bacon = goodness.
My boyfriend peered over my shoulder as I was reading this post, saw the bacon, and begged me to please make “whatever that deliciousness is”
That bacon is jumping off the screen at me. I need some now!
This looks amazing! Bacon makes everything taste better
Bacon is one of the HUGE things I miss with being a vegetarian . . . and your description of the dip is enough to send me RUNNING to the grocery store for ingredients !
Hmm, do you think this would taste good with Morningstar’s faux bacon? I don’t particularly love bacon, but I just bought some of their fake-on. What do you eat with this dip? Or do you just eat it like mashed potatoes (which it looks like, haha)?
Holy cow Jessica…this looks amazing!!! This might be one of my faves that you have posted. I don’t have a huge sweet tooth so I love these savory recipe of the last few days!!
YUM. Like mashed potatoes with bacon, but semi healthier!
I’m sure it would, though I have never tried any faux bacon. I served it with crackers and an assortment of breads.
oh my goodness, I am so excited I stumbled on your blog! that white bean dip with bacon looks scrumptious!!!
thanks for sharing the recipe!
Mmm yes please. I love dips. And I really love dips with bacon.
My husband would really like this dip. He LOVES bacon! Maybe I will make this for him sometime.
Oh LORDY!! This looks so good!
This looks great! I love the addition of the crunchy bacon to the creamy white beans! What a great dip!
Wow… this recipe is getting saved ASAP
I’m obsessed with your blog! That dip looks AMAZING!
I keep forwarding all your posts to my mom to check out! Love it!
I am saving this recipe for the appetizer I have to bring to my friend’s baby shower in a couple of months. Keep ‘em coming!
Sigh…. And I thought I was going to be able to get away with not going to the grocery before making dinner tonight. Then, somebody had to go and make me change my plans…
Ahh What a perfect, hearty dip for super-bowl time of year!! I love that you’re not afraid to use a little bacon in your dishes!
Great job, as usual!
Have you ever experimented with bacon in sweets? I saw a recipe for “french toast cupcakes” made with maple syrup with a cream cheese frosting and crumbled bacon on top.
Email me if you want the recipe!!

Great recipe.. Cannelini beans are so creamy as is.. they pair great with some KALE..lol!
Kale?
What is kale? I’ve blocked all vegetables from my memory.
I love the addition of paprika to beans. The smokey taste makes things so much better. Rock on with the bacon. Someone’s gotta represent cured meats on the blogs!
I am sooo not a bean fan, but maybe these little guys will help tame my hatred of beans…
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with loving bacon. People who say they don’t are just lying!!
I love cannelini beans too. So versatile. I love the smell of bacon, but I don’t really care for the taste. I’ve been forever searching for a bacon-scented air freshener.
I have a similar recipe from Cooking Light that is awesome. It makes such a great dip!
Ok, this just sounds heavenly. I am on a total hummus kick lately, so this would fit in with that. If only I had a food processor! Bacon addition is genius. I haven’t had bacon in WAY too long.
Maybe I’ll make this for Superbowl Sunday instead of the usual cheese dip and guac! This looks so much healthier (and it’s beautiful, too). Thanks for sharing, Jessica!
I love bean dip, so this looks delicious. I’ve never liked bacon, though, even when I ate meat…do you think it would work with fried eggplant rounds instead?
Me likes. Me likes a lot.
Hey, any posts for your cutie brother coming any time soon?
I like your blog.
Sure! I don’t see why not.
Would love to try this!! But I don’t have a food processor
. Would a blender work?
I’m sure it would! Give it a try! And if it doesn’t just mash it up with a fork or something.
I’ll go to bacon rehab with you…I am SO making this!!
First of all…I LOVE the new look of your blog. I’m crazy about it! And dude. You just HAD to post this bacon love fest three days after I go veg? *sigh* This looks amazingly delicious. Like everything else on this site. You are one of the few people i’d follow a recipe from.
That looks amazing! THe picture of the beans is so pretty. What did you dip in there? I’d dip my finger.
You won me over simply with the title of this post, haha. The question is, does it have to be used as a dip? Or can I simply eat it with a spoon?
You say that is a dip … but I want to dig in to it with a giant spoon and just gobble it all down!! It looks like mashed potatoes!!
I need to try some white beans, I haven’t had those in ages! You are totally write, they are SO good and very creamy!!
That looks wonderful!
Mmmmm…looks amazing! SO creamy
Bacon makes everything better! mmmmm
Your recipes always make me hungry! That bacon dip is definitely a must-try for me now
What a great looking dip! Cannelini beans are one of my favourites for dips too – so versatile
This would be perfect for the Superbowl- healthy, but bacon does make everything better and seem indulgent.
My favorite however is chocolate dipped bacon… I’m sure you’d love it
It looks absolutely beautiful! Did your blog get a facelift? It looks amazing!
I’m totally not a bacon girl, but woah, this dip looks quite delicious!! I bet this would be a hit at a super bowl party!!
Bacon makes all things better!
That looks absolutely delish, but I think I could just eat it with a spoon.
i dont eat bacon but I could see this on a menu of SO MANY restaurants and it would be a HIT!!!! mmmmmm good
maybe I could use turkey bacon??
Definitely!
If you say it’s one of the best dips then it’s a darn good dip!!!
I just discovered the joy of white beans when I made minestrone soup for Ben this weekend.
And let me tell you, I love bacon.
yummm that dip sounds great!
My sister would love this! I should make it for her.. she probably wouldn’t even know there’s beans in it! LOL
oooh
Inlaws coming next week.
Im so whipping this up for them.
Ill keep you posted
You’ve got to be kidding me? That looks INSANE! I want to have a party just so I have an excuse to make this one!
I am soooo making this today, love it when I have all of the ingredients on hand. Yes, bacon does make the world go round…
Is it wrong of me to think that dip looks like a delicious bowl of mashed potatoes and bacon bits?? No but really, cannellini beans are my favorite too…I love them in white chili!
holy yum…. this is why i could never commit to full on vegetarianism…. that’s a confession right there.
I’ve made the bean dip part of this a lot but never w/bacon. I know, how could I have left out the key ingredient!?!?!? Never again.. Off to make some now for dinner. Good thing it’s quarter mile sprints for me tonight.
Also, I just discovered your blog. Love it. Thanks for the wonderful recipes and workout info.
I will definitely have to try that.
Gosh, this looks SO delicious! You have the best recipe ideas…
