Giveaway!

June 12, 2010 · 622 comments

I am jealous.

I have wanted an ice cream maker for months. I have wanted to make flavors that would disgust anyone within 100 yards of me, like olive oil and gorgonzola ice cream.

But I love you guys so much that I wanted to give one to you instead of buying it for myself.

If it wasn’t for you, I would be sitting at home on my couch all day eating bonbons and flipping through Us Weekly with a green mask on my face. If it wasn’t for you, I’d also probably be in a smaller jeans size too, but what’s the fun in that?

You can win this Cuisinart Mix-It-In Soft Serve Ice Cream Maker.

Fully automatic ice cream maker—makes up to 1½ quarts of soft ice cream, yogurt, sorbet or sherbet in as little as 20 minutes. Mixes treats right into ice cream as it’s dispensed—choose one, two or all three. No chemicals, salt or ice required.

Even if you already have an ice cream maker, wouldn’t this make a fun gift for someone? Like me?

To Enter:

1.) Leave a comment telling me which ice cream flavor you’d love to make.

Are you plain vanilla? Peanut butter chocolate? I think it’s no secret that mine would include some form of bacon and chocolate. Perhaps like this?

For 2 extra entires:

2.) Follow How Sweet It Is on Twitter and tweet about this giveaway . Leave a comment letting me know you did so.

3.) Like How Sweet It Is on Facebook and post a link on Facebook to this giveaway. Leave a comment letting me know you did so.

Contest runs until tomorrow night, Sunday, June 13th at 8pm EST. :)

I am obsessed with licorice ice cream and coffee ice cream.
If I had an ice cream maker I would probably try to combine them both, not because I think it would taste good. Just because I could ;)

Becca June 13, 2010 at 3:18 pm

If I won this, my first batch of ice cream would have to be mint brownie chunk… it makes me drool thinking about it!

Becca June 13, 2010 at 3:18 pm

I put your line on my facebook, and we made “Phila Flyers” cookies all during the playoffs (photos of them on my facebook)…would love to have an ice cream maker where we could add these special Flyers cookies to the ice cream and call it “Broad Street Best” ice cream!!

Hazel June 13, 2010 at 3:37 pm

Oh, I would loooooooove to make an oreo ice cream, maybe even a refreshing mint one. Yum. Possibilities are endless with an ice cream maker in my house… might be dangerous! Great giveaway :)

Thanks for the give away, this is AWESOME! <3

Lori June 13, 2010 at 3:58 pm

I always wondered if you could make vanilla ice cream and put fresh mint leaves in it? Of course you’d need chocolate chips with it to finish it off. Mint would take the sting out of this muggy weather!

heidi June 13, 2010 at 3:59 pm

rocky road. or mint chip. just for me :)

Ron James June 13, 2010 at 4:00 pm

I would make Key lime pie ice cream…have a tree in the back yard bursting with these tasty limes. How cool and refreshing for a Florida summer treat.

Kathy Hughes June 13, 2010 at 4:09 pm

I love Texas Hill Country peaches and love to make peach ice cream with those wonderful fresh peaches!!! My ice cream maker died a couple of years ago and I just haven’t splurged to buy a new one.

LB June 13, 2010 at 4:16 pm

I would make peanut butter ice cream! Mmmmm.

Alex Kaminsky June 13, 2010 at 4:17 pm

I make a mean peanut brittle. Perhaps combining some of that wonderful nutty caramel with some really nice vanilla bean ice cream?
