I am a chocolate snob. A big one.

So it comes as no surprise that I absolutely adore Sarris‘ chocolate since it is touted as “the world’s best chocolate.” Honestly – it is! I would know – I’ve done my fair share of chocolate tasting, especially with Sarris since they are right here in Pittsburgh.
Sarris‘ is full of nostalgia for me. With it being right down the road from my grandparents‘ house, we would take a trip to get ice cream and marvel at all of the chocolate creations. It is basically my mecca. My mom would also always buy multiple bags of chocolate covered pretzels to give as hostess gifts or to serve at a party, but I would inevitably discover them and eat them all before she could do so. I also use Sarris‘ in many of my chocolate covered treats, because it truly is one of my favorite chocolates. Right up there with Godiva. In fact, yesterday I melted a few milk chocolate bars [you can find them at Giant Eagle if you're local] to make more cake batter bark, as well as a recipe you will see later this week. It is to die for.


And I only coat my strawberries with Sarris – nothin’ else!

    My mind is spinning trying to pin down my favourite chocolate so I can include it in my comment/entry. Ferrero rocher is poking at my brain the hardest right now. But I think any type of chocolate chunks that you find in cookie dough or cookie dough ice cream would be my number 1 choice

    I adore your website. All things chocolate and bacon warm my heart. The first time I read, way back when, I remember reading about you cooking with bacon grease, a practice I have long practiced but never revealed. At last someone who gets me. Love it!

    I made the bark as a “thank you” for coming to my birthday party this weekend. I think all my girlfriends loved it. And putting that many sprinkles on food made me deliriously happy .

    I honestly cannot imagine a world without chocolate – not only do I love it for its yummy goodness, but without it, I don’t think I’d survive a certain week each month! I haven’t yet tried Sarris, but am super anxious to do so now!

    I am finally making cake batter bark right now! My store was out of ghirardelli white chocolate for the longest time, and it was driving me crazy. The only problem is, I am having a hard time waiting for it to harden before I eat it!

    Yay for Sarris chocolate! We always pick up a bag of their Chocolate-Covered Pretzels for my dad’s stocking every Christmas (we get ours at Giant Eagle, too!)

    Jessica,I want to win the chocolate and gift card because I too am a chocolate snob. In fact, I used to work at Godiva when I was in college and it’s the only kind I eat now that I have had the best, there us no turning back! I deserve it because I will appreciate it more than anyone! Please please consider me!!!!! It would make my 2010 as I have been hinting to my husband that nothing would please me more than a great box of gourmet chocolate. I’ve been channelling this so much that tonight I even made chocolate dipped strawberries and pineapple with store brand chocolate and something was very wrong with it!!!!
