Today we took off on a little adventure with the intent of seeing Vatican Splendors which is here in Pittsburgh until January 9th. Apparently everyone else had the same idea because the line for tickets was out the door, then it was another 4 hour wait to even get inside.
So we went and had some snacks instead… for 6 hours. We hit the Capital Grille, Andy’s at the Fairmont, and the Renaissance hotel bar.
[possibly my most favorite quote ever]

Oh, that sounds like a perfect family function! We just got home today and are sad that it is over already…so badly that we are considering what life would be like if we moved closer to them. Looks like you are having a great time with your family! Enjoy them!

I love that you were still able to have some spontaneous fun. Sometimes I find my random outings are as fun, if not more than the planned ones.

Absolutely beautiful pics. ;) They make me happy.
Was that an eggnog martini? I still haven’t had eggnog this season. Gasp! I need to quickly before they stop selling it!

No it was a brandy alexander, but it sort of tasted like eggnog because they grated fresh nutmeg on top!
