For me, there is nothing better than a successful day in the kitchen.
Except a big bowl of leftover chocolate. Okay… and maybe a new pair of shoes. And some mashed potatoes? With candied bacon?
I’m all out of sorts here.
In case you’re wondering, I spent the last 6 hours listening to the Jersey Boys soundtrack again. It has made it’s way on to my hip kitchen playlist.

I’m Jessica and this is where I share my stuff. You will find a balance of healthy recipes, comfort food and indulgent desserts.
The chocolate that’s leftover is my FAVORITE part of making anything. Because it’s impossible to measure the right amount, so why try?

We have a homemade chocolate glaze that we put on brownies…except sometimes we just make it by itself and eat it out of the pot!!!!

You’re killing me here! I might just have to unsubscribe from your blog until I’m done with my January detox…then I’ll re-subscribe and eat everything you’ve mentioned! I’ll try to have some self control.

Am working on a story about Bethel Bakery and some of their retirees and had to get photos there the other day. I got to see where they make everything – the place smelled amazing; it was like being in my idea of heaven! I wanted to dive headfirst into a huge vat of chocolate!

Yummm, chocolate. Even better, melt that chocolate again and dip your bacon in it. Add sprinkles for flair!

Mmm this bowl of chocolate reminded me I have a bowl of cookie dough waiting for me in the fridge :) Don’t mind if I do!

I’d give anything for that leftover bowl of chocolate just so you know.

One time I had a leftover bowl of ganache and whipped cream that I made for sundae cupcakes. I literally stood at the counter and ate from the bowls. Good day.

I don’t know why, but I love baking and cooking with James Taylor. I know it seems weird, but he is just so soothing. I will have to check out your playlist. I am so glad you had a good day! Enjoy your leftovers!

your chocolate bowl looks almost untouched. Mine always have finger marks where I’m always dipping my finger in to taste-test.
Oh gross, no one is going to want to eat anything I bake after they know that.

I want to know what you made with that chocolate!!?

All of those sound like a FANTASTIC day to me!

Truffles? Is that the tasty, creamy, lovely center of a truffle?
