Double Fudge Oreo Crunch Cookies.
Need a last minute Valentine’s Day treat?
I really consider these an anytime treat, but they work for tonight too! Or tomorrow. Or Monday. Or next week. Or everyday.
The dough is impossible to stay out of. Up your raw egg tolerance for this.
See? Impossible.
Scooping out golf ball sized dough balls is the best way to go.
Serve with a big glass of cold milk!
Did you know that I have always despised milk? It has grossed me out since I was young. Don’t even get me started on those of you who slurp up the milk at the end up your cereal bowl. Yuck. I have chills just thinking about it.
But these cookies cast a spell on me.
All I could think about was a glass of milk! Preferably chocolate, but I didn’t have any. So I made do with the regular ole’ stuff.
Sometimes things don’t go as planned. Like this.
Oh well. Just slurp it up.
Can I convince you to make these today? I think you must. If you know what’s good for you, you will.

2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup crushed Oreo cookies
Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until fluffy. Add flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt and mix until combined.
Fold in chocolate chips and crushed oreos. Refrigerate dough for 2-4 hours (or more). When ready to bake, preheat oven to 350, roll into balls or scoop with an ice cream scooper and set on baking sheet.

I want to feign sick so I can go home and make these right now. Do you think They’d work with vegetable shortening instead of butter? I am trying to avoid that so a friend with a dairy allergy can enjoy them too!
Totally saved this one! They look incredibly dangerous! Thanks!
These look amazing! I have tried oreos crushed in oatmeal cookies before but this looks even better!
I made these, and they were DELISH!!! They turned out really FLAT though. I only had nesquick powder on hand, so I used that instead of cocoa. Maybe this is the reasoning behind their super flattness. They still tasted amazing, they were super crunchy, and I sent my fiancee with a bag of these to West Virginia for his job (we live in TX). He’s already swallowed up half the bag. {He left yesterday} These will definetely be made again, I will use cocoa next time to make sure they look fluffier like yours do.
You can take a look at how mine turned out. I featured the recipe on my blog, giving you full credit of course. But I wanted to see what you had to say about them being flat…

Mine did as well – the only thing I can think of is that because you don’t mix the baking soda and salt with the flour beforehand, that they don’t get mixed in correctly. Mine do have a faint baking soda aftertaste. I didn’t use cocoa powder but did use one of the frosting creations packet.
I was going to bring them to a birthday party tomorrow, but now I will have to buy something. Really disappointing. :(
I think you definitely just convinced me to make these! Wow!! And dunked in the milk?? It’s just too much!!!
Oh my goodness! These cookies look amazing! :)
Wow! This is such a great idea! I’m definitely going to try this recipe next. Love your blog! I’ve book marked so many of the featured recipes : )
Thank you!

This is the first recipe I’ve tried from your blog and now I seem to be marking almost all of them for future use!
Great to hear! Glad you liked.

Just recently found your blog, and made these cookies right away. My boyfriend isn’t a huge sweets person, and he ate five in a row. He also proclaimed that they were his favorite cookie I’ve made for him. So thanks for this fantastic treat!
Oh these look awesome. I used to hate milk till mom forced me to drink it, now, I have started to love it! Maybe it’s because of my midnight cereal eating disease ;P
OMG my jaw literally dropped when I saw these! I just thought of their chewy yet crunchy crispyness so warm dipping into a nice glass of cold milk. They look fantastic and I am definitely going to make them ;)
I made these last night, and they look and smell incredible. I can’t wait to try them! If the batter is any indication of how the baked cookies will taste, they’re going to be AMAZING.

I usually use unsweetened.

You’ve ruined me! I made these this afternoon and…RUINED! I’m just going to sit here and eat them all before my boyfriend gets off work so there is no evidence and I think I will do this each day until I am too large to maneuver myself into the kitchen!
Just made these… WOW! Crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside. This may just be what happiness tastes like. THANK YOU!!

I made these and they were amazing! I let the dough sit in the fridge overnight (which I wouldn’t normally do, because I’m waaaay too impatient) and they turned out thicker and fluffier than any cookies I’ve ever made before! And really, you can’t go wrong with Oreos. Excellent recipe!
Hi! I’m drooling over here!! I think heaven must be like this.
I have a question.. If I use salted butter would be okay just omitt the salt?
Thanks! =)

Making with halloween oreos :) could brown sugar be subbed for some of the white sugar?
Awesome! Yep, you can use brown sugar, they just may not be quite as sweet!

Can you make the cookie dough mix ahead of time and freeze for later? Should I mix crushed oreo cookies into mix before or after freezing? Or should I freeze the ice cream molded oreo containing cookie dough into zip-lock bag for later baking?
Inquiring minds need to know.
As soon as I saw this recipe I knew I *had* to make it for my oreo-loving husband. They definitely passed the test, he ate 3 right away! They are extremely chocolately, but in the best way possible. Thanks for sharing a great recipe!
By the way, I just found your blog the other day and I absolutely love it. I lived in Pittsburgh for the first 24 years of my life before moving to DC 2 years ago. I love finding Pittsburghers blogs :)
I just made these tonight with mint oreos as holiday treats. I had to taste test, and man, my husband is going to die and go to heaven!!! Thanks for sharing this recipe! And, I love that it worked at high altitude without any adjustment at all – I am at 5,000 feet in Idaho. Thanks again!
These were out of this world!!! I made them for family friends for Christmas and I just know that they are going to be a hit. Luckily the recipe made plenty of dough because my family would have killed me if I gave all of these away. Also to have some fun I used the very last bit of dough and used it to cover a full oreo cookie! So now I have a giant cookie within a cookie that is waiting to be eaten :)
