I just opened a new jar of salted caramel.
Well… technically I’m lying. I opened it last night. Late last night.
Not like that was obvious with the full inch missing from the top.
What should I make with it? What should I do? What would you make? Hit me with your best shot.

I’m Jessica and this is where I share my stuff. You will find a balance of healthy recipes, comfort food and indulgent desserts.
simply over ice cream is ideal; if you can mix it in something with ganache, you’d cure my PMS.

Ditto on the spoon. Actually ditch the spoon, fingers work fine.
Recreate Ben & Jerry’s new ice cream flavor (http://www.benjerry.com/flavors/feature/late-night-snack/), I dare you to make chocolate covered potato chip balls. If ever there was a person to complete this fantasy for me .. you’re it.

Dark chocolate brownies, then swirl the carmel throughout them, bake them and then drizzle it on top :)

This recipe starts with butter and sugar but you could easily skip straight ahead to burning pre-made caramel and go from there.

Have you ever tried the Triple Ginger Snaps from Trader Joe’s? They’re such good cookies on their own, but dipped in that caramel sauce they’re like heaven. If you don’t have cookies, a spoon will do. :)

I actually bought this stuff because I saw it on your blog! :) I am TOTALLY OBSESSED! First, I didn’t have any ice cream, so I ate it with an apple. When the apple ran out, I used my finger. Now, I usually just drizzle it over vanilla ice cream (I go with the light ice cream so I can use more caramel sauce…). I would love, love, LOVE some salted caramel ice cream, though.

Last time I was at TJ’s I actually found salted caramel ice cream. Well, actually it’s chocolate ice cream with the salted caramel swirled in. It. Is. To. Die. For.

Now, I admit, I’ve never tried these, but they sound RIGHT up your alley:
http://savour-fare.com/2010/03/17/bacon-salted-caramel-brownies/ I imagine you could make substitutions that would mean you can use pre-made caramel.

Okay, so I am not a food photographer by any means so don’t judge from my picture, but these Praline Crumb Caramel Cheesecake bars were AMAZING. Seriously. They are possibly worth gaining 5 pounds…

I make a caramel that we just keep in a tub in the fridge to dip stuff into….apples, bananas, cookies, etc.
You could bake some chocolate thumbprint cookies with the caramel in the middle. Or sandwich caramel in between two cookies. Or bake brownies and glaze them with chocolate glaze, and top them with some caramel…..

Some kind of caramel apple cupcakes with an out-of-this world vanilla caramel icing!

don’t drop it all over the floor and have it shatter. that’s what’s NOT to do. That’s what I did with the last jar of TJ’s caramel sauce about a week ago…sticky, glass shards everywhere, I even linked to you and your Pyrex explosion in that post b/c it was SUCH a mess.
I am getting a flashback just looking at that jar of caramel. lol.
