What’s that you said?
You don’t want to live in a place where you’ve seen rain falling from the sky for 53 days in a row either?
Odd. Never heard of such a thing.
Wait… what?
Speak a little louder please.
Oh… you want to fly me to the Bahamas? On a one way ticket? And first class?
Sold.
Thank you very much.
[I take sugar in my coffee by the way. I just knew you would ask.]

I’m Jessica and this is where I share my stuff. You will find a balance of healthy recipes, comfort food and indulgent desserts.
Um…ditto.

omg so true- i want sunshine stat!

Seriously. Is this rain ever going to stop? If it doesn’t, I’m definitely jumping on a plane to the Caribbean.
Reply
I will meet you there!

Give some of that rain to us. We haven’t had rain in months, our lakes are incredibly low, and we have fires all over the place because of how dry it is!
Reply
Take me with you!

I can’t even remember the last time I saw the sun. I forgot what it looks like.

ha-i’d take the rain over the SNOW we’ve gotten the last few days…i’m still defrosting my car in the morning!

Oh no – I hope you get sunshine very soon! :)

We got snow yesterday in Chicago. Snow at the end of April… Yes, I think that deserves a ticket for the seat right next to yours. Thank you to the generous person paying for our trips!
Reply
Oh My! It hasn’t been quite that long here, but it sure feels like it!!
Hope you find some sunshine soon! :)
Reply
same here! finally in Seattle, we’ve gotten a day of sunshine, but lots of people in the area had snow yesterday! I got married in Cabo two months ago and I’m regretting ever coming home!
Reply
Seriously..this rain. It just has to stop!
Reply
Glad to know I’m not the only one in the doldrums.

Beats snow at least

You should seriously consider writing a book. Every time I read one of your posts I feel like I’m reading a Marian Keyes novel.

just terrible. Seriously, I miss the sunshine!
Reply
hahahaha you could come here!!!!! I’ll bake for you! :D

Better rain than snow? It’s still snowing where I live…super depressing…I’ll join you on that one-way ticket – I can pick into a suitcase!
Reply
It could be worse. It could be snow falling from the sky, instead of rain. And let me tell you…in April, snow is extremely depressing. I will gladly join you on that one-way ticket to the Bahamas.

That looks like my window…

AHHH I’m SO sick of the rain!!! My roommate and I were just talking about how crabby it’s making us. All I want to do is whine about it all the time. Rain, go away… for realz.

i know, i can’t wait for the sun to come out. but like they say… april showers, may flowers! :-)
Reply
I can not wait for these April showers to stop!!! I am going into hibernation until Memorial Day!
Reply
Me too. I love rain. Just not when I wake up and realize the husband has the umbrella in his car…at the airport. Or when it causes a power outage at work and I’m forced to teach without a smartboard or a computer….
Reply
Tell you what, I’ll send you a little bit of my sunshine and you send me some of that rain! It is so dry here in Texas that we have been having crazy wildfires….. PS – thanks for ruining my dinner plans with S’mores Cake in a Jar, GENIUS! =)
Reply
Amen! And it’s on the forcast for the rest of the week :(
Reply
omg this PA weather is killing me. I feel like a wilting plant suffocating without sunshine..!!!
Can we just skip the showers and get to the flowers already?
Reply
It’s been storming recently here.. I think in Japan, our showers are in April as well, and May/June is the rainy season…
Reply
I’d prefer rain to the snow we’re currently getting here in Wisconsin. So far, springs sucks this year!
Reply
oh i hear ya! today in madison it’s been snowing/hailing/raining non-stop. not cool. especially since we had 80* weather about 2 weeks ago. not cool at all.
Reply
Seriously, I want this warm weather now. I’m done with winter. I’m moving south. :-P
Reply
I’ll take rain over snow!

Haha! That is a great response! :-) I second that notion here in Maryland. More severe storms are predicted for today- ugh!
That said, the saying is “April showers bring May flowers”. Let’s hope so! :-)

Count me in on the trip to the Bahamas! ;-)
Reply
I am ready for spring too! Tired of all the snow, 5-7 inches of new white stuff yesterday.

I feel for you! Portland, Oregon has not been my fave place to live this year. Makes me want to go back to Sunny So Cal where I came from for sure! It’s got to end sometime though, right?
Reply
Oh man did this hit home because I’m right there with you. I didn’t know that it could possible rain quite this much!!
If someone offers a trip to the Bahamas I want to come too!!
Reply
I live in the sun, and love the snow….the grass is always greener on the other side, (but it’s usually over the septic tank)…..I’ve never liked balance…dinner? S’mores cake in a jar for EVERYONE!!!

Central Florida here… where it’s 90-freaking-degrees, and we’ve currently got a humidity of 92. Walking outside isn’t so much walking as it is swimming, and I’d currently sacrifice my left leg for a good thunderstorm.
I’ll trade ya.

Can’t say I’m entirely sad for you. Although rain every day does suck. It’s already reached 100 degrees here and it’s HOT. Something in the middle would be ideal! :)

that makes me feel good….that my Washington weather affects people everywhere else…and yes i live off of peoples misery. muh hahahaha!!!
