Vanilla Bean Butter.

Look! I made you vanilla butter for your morning muffin.
You can make vanilla butter too. Just smash a stick of butter with the contents of one vanilla bean. Then spread it on something fancy like warm maple bacon scones or hot blueberry muffins or steamy pancakes. Or even use it for cookies. It just may be the best invention ever.
Vanilla Bean Butter
makes 1/2 cup (can easily be doubled)
1 stick butter, softened
1 vanilla bean
Combine softened butter with the contents of one vanilla bean and mix. Easy! Can be stored in the refrigerator in a seal tight container or wrapped in plastic wrap.
Butter for life!

I’m trying to come up with vessels for this butter right now so I can serve it at Easter. Several varieties of scones and muffins are in the running.
I love it! I can’t wait to make this butter. Your recipes are always amazing!
Butter is the only way to go. Love the thought of vanilla bean. YUM! Paulette
How are you not 300 lbs? Seriously.
Haha, that is such a great idea! :)
this looks soooo good! It reminds me of Lucille BBQ’s honey butter on their fresh biscuits! probably the best biscuits in my short lived life. :D
This is ingenious! What a great way to spruce up butter
This looks really easy and really yummy. I have of course made honey butter and cinnamon butter, but I have never event thought to make vanilla butter. I am excited to try this, thanks for the post:) I just found your blog and it is wonderful:)
Oh my goodness. This would be so good on warm banana bread. I want vanilla butter on everything…
pertinent question: salted or unsalted butter for this?
I use unsalted, but I actually think it would be better with salted!
holy.crap. !!! I’ve mixed in garlic + rosemary into butter but never vanilla!
i can’t think of a better use for a vanilla bean!
Oh my goodness this idea sounds heavenly. I mean, nothings better than butter, but add some equally delicious vanilla bean to the mix?? I bet this is amazing.
I think the flecks from vanilla beans make things look so pretty!
I love flavored butters! I made homemade coconut bread with pineapple rum butter. Everytime I make a bread at home, I make a flavored butter. Soft Cornmeal Yeast Roll woth Chili Lime Butter. Sesame Oatmeal bread with Maple Sugar Butter. Chocolate Rolls with Bing Cherry Butter. Yummo!
Yes, please – so simple yet so wonderful!
I love it, would flow perfectly with a raisin-fruit bread
