Oh my yum.

I know this has been a coincidentally uncharacteristic week on How Sweet It Is, but I promise tomorrow will more than make up for it. Monday too. You’ll be lucky if you can button your pants by Tuesday.

I am super excited about this giveaway! In fact, my excitement has grown every single day this week.. because I can’t stop eating things out of this book.

MamaPea is the creator of the blog Peas and Thank You, if you didn’t know. She has some of the cutest kids I’ve ever seen and will make you wet your pants on a daily basis with her hilarity. She just wrote this fabulous cookbook which is so much more than just a cookbook. [Bonus: my close friend Ashley did much of the food photography for the book!] She is also vegan, which yeah… is the complete opposite of me.

But the thing is, we love a lot of the same foods. She just makes them with different (uhh… and healthier) ingredients and lots of vegetables. Ew?

I may not love vegetables, but I love delicious food. Really love it.  Duh! And there have been countless times over the last year and a half I’ve been blogging that I’ve made one of her recipes (can we say dough balls?), because if she can’t get me to eat vegetables then I doubt anyone can. #imscrewed

The minute I got my hands on her book I made the thai veggie burgers.

Get.in.my.mouth.

Holy cow, these were flippin’ delicious. It was my first time making a veggie burger and I was more than pleasantly surprised. I want to lay my head down on a thai burger pillow tonight.

I also made a batch of the ever popular mmm sauce, which I promptly slathered on my [third] thai veggie burger.

dirty placemat… ain’t no thang.

Sure I’ll swim in this bowl. Thanks for asking.

And yesterday afternoon, I ate this chickpea strawberry salad then almost died.

Not because I ate so many vegetables at once, but because this salad was so amazingly good. I immediately wanted to pour the remaining cinnamon vinaigrette over my head. Then I emailed MamaPea and told her that this was probably the best cookbook I have tried recipes from since my beloved Williams Sonoma Handbook. That is huge! And it doesn’t even have bacon in it.

The recipes are mostly vegetarian with a handful of vegan ones, and are so easy but so delicious – I find them to be extremely adaptable for when you do want to add meat or in my case… need to add meat for that guy you life with. Trust me: you want this book. [If you have any doubts, just check out the SIXTY TWO 5 star reviews.]

Today you can enter to win a copy of the book! In addition, you’ll also get a “pea pack” with all of these fun things, and I’m totally jealous though I have no need for an apron that says “Mama” or a bib. Except for that guy I… yeah, you know.

To Enter: Just leave a comment on this post. Any comment. Go!

[Contest closes Friday, Aug 12th at midnight EST.] [If you absolutely can’t wait to get your hands on the book or want to order one for your friends, click here!]
