1. Daylight Savings is killing me. I think I get about .3 seconds of light in our house everyday. Save me!

2. Trader Joe’s finally has their own coconut oil… this made my weekend.

3. My weekends are sad. Oh! But I did eat thai food and frozen yogurt. Winning.

4. Yes, this means I went to Trader Joe’s and didn’t tell you about it. Wah! I know.

5. And speaking of making days, Marcel the Shell has a NEW video! I might have watched it 34 times since this morning.

6. One time I went to a hotel and guess what the bed was? A muffin. See #5 before you punch me in the face.

7. I kindasortamaybe want these shoes. STOP YELLING AT ME!

8. I also bought some of these salt sets to give as Christmas gifts. But then I accidentally used one in our pasta Sunday night. Crap.

9. I made these mini chocolate donuts on Sunday too. Cute enough to eat!

10. Please tell me you’ve seen these cookie candy cup stuffer thingamajigs. what.the.heck.

11. I need to go to the dentist.

12. After years of Mr. How Sweet dodging my DVR-ed ABC Thursday night TV, he accidentally stayed in the room a few weeks ago as I was watching Private Practice. Now SOMEONE is hooked on Amelia’s downward drug spiral and it isn’t me…

13. Bears like beets. Fact.

okay, seriously, you keep making me spend money on stuff every time you post something. I finally bought that marshmallow Vodka. Next I need to buy cake vodka & blueberry balsamic vinegar (because I still need to make that blueberry crisp…STAT!) And now I need to go buy these sea salt things cause they look too good to pass up.

And since you watch Private Practice, does this also mean you watch Grey’s Anatomy? And if so, don’t you just HATE the way they ended the show last week and with NO episode until next week. I don’t know how I’ll be able to cope this week…..

    False. Black bear.

Marcel is hilarious! I think I am oddly hooked now. I haven’t purchased any coconut oil but hear good things about it and see it all over now. How do you use it? One of my friends cooks with it all of the time, but also uses it on her face and says it is fab. I think that is the reason I haven’t made the leap. It just doesn’t seem natural.

Can I tell you my Wednesday thing!? I had a tin of condensed milk hanging out in my cupboard, all ready for your cookie dough frosting. I was waiting for the moment my scale told me I weighed as much as I weighed BEFORE I had an unfortunate Bakewell slice binge 2 weekends ago, whcih my waistline is hgihly resistant to letting me forget about. (Its only 2lbs but I fear it could be a slippery slope). ANYWAY this AM I was out of milk for my coffee and my health compass is often a little disjointed at 5am … SO I opened the can and put a few teaspoons in my coffee and it was pretty much the BEST THING EVER. Plus, now the tin is open so I have no choice but to bake your cupcakes soon! I know you dont drink coffee, but its seriously so good I think you might want to start – so I thought Id tell you! xox – ps u invented said frosting and so deserve those shoes.

    Coconut Oil changed my life!
Who knew how many uses it had? I originally bought it for my hair as it was in really bad condition and heard you could use it as a treatment.
I now use it as a full body moisturiser, make up remover (doesn’t hurt your eyes!), hair mask, hubby puts it in his hair, massage oil, in your hair after swimming to stop it going erk and of course, cooking.
The best part is it smells delish!!
I know i sound like a used car salesman, but thought i’d share all of this just in case you hadn’t discovered all of its wonders!
(p.s I use a ‘fair trade’ brand called Volcanic Earth, super cheap, super awesome!)

1-Take heart! After all..we are now one REAL time!!

2- After December 21st we start to GAIN daylight time (regardless of whether we are “saving it or not!”)

I know how you feel about the time change! This year has been harder on me too..I feel like 8pm is midnight an 7am is WAY too early to even think about getting up…..then I think of the animals that are waiting to be fed, and my adult son who faithfully gets up in the dark and comes home in the dark!

Coconut oil, Olive oil, and sometimes Palm oil, are the only oils I use these days occasionally throwing in grape seed oil or peanut oil depending on what I am cooking,.

ASHLEY! Coconut oil make chicken shrimp, any kind of fish, and veg taste phenomenal!! Not to mention baked good I would never use hydrogenated fat in!
