Tuesday Things.
1. Being an adult is absolutely no fun because now instead of running and jumping into a pile of leaves, I’m terrified of what can be found inside or underneath them.
2. This apple cinnamon loaf looks out of this world.
3. When the debate turns into Dirty Dancing. This made my morning.
4. Okay, have you guys watched This Is Us?! OH MY GOSH. New favorite show alert. I love it so much. I also like bawled me eyes out twice. And Masters of Sex this past week was soooo good. Finally!! I can’t wait to see what happens (and I freaking love Libby) but hope this isn’t the last season.
5. Thoughts on the new Bruno Mars song? I looooove him. I didn’t even like the song at first then listened to it 37 times in a row.
6. Speaking of that, I’m the queen of messing up song lyrics (maybe because I’m an old lady – the worst was T Swift’s “starbucks lovers”) and definitely thought the lyrics to Starving were “don’t need no butterflies when you give me the damn FLU.” I’m like, WHYYY would someone want the flu? Learned that it was ZOO. Not flu. Waahhhh.
7. See, because of this, I’ve developed such a personal relationship with google that I actually type things like “how do i use one of those huge memory cards” into the search bar. I don’t even ask regular people questions anymore and apparently find it appropriate to rely on solutions from random 13 year olds on q+a sites.
8. Yesterday Eddie and I celebrated eight years of marriage and one of my first thoughts was “oh! we made it through the seven year itch!” Ha. I remember being scared when we got married of the idea of the seven year itch. Ohhh my twenty something self.
9. Love this article on overcoming self limiting beliefs. Tons of you email me all the time about starting your own business and I think these tips are magic
10. I’d love to do Project Life (so many have you have recommended this to me!) but it seems so overwhelming because I have so.many.photos. And scrapbooking of any kind makes me itchy. How to do this in a not-so-time-consuming manner?

The Project Life app is amazing! I get overwhelmed with scrapbooking but the app has saved me. So easy to use. I highly recommend it.
I’m obsessed with “This is Us”! I can’t wait to watch tonight’s episode. I even planned my workout around the episode so I won’t miss a single second.

LOL flu > zoo. i get lyrics wrong allll the time too: thought the lyrics from fall out boy’s “uma thurman” were “walk america” instead of “work a miracle.” same thing.
I really liked that Limiting Beliefs article. Good reminder about checking in with your values and what YOU define as success when you get rid of your self-limiting beliefs. LOVED the 3 questions to help check in with yourself –> Can I do all the things I want to do? Can I spend quality time with people I love? Can I feel good about the person I’m becoming? Awesome.
Project Life has helped me be more intentional with the photos I take and end up actually taking less. I’ve heard the app is very convenient and easy but I’m a paper person (must have a paper planner and since you love them too, have you checked out InkWell classic? I converted to them for 2017 instead of Day Designer) and use the physical Project Life. I love the cute cards that come with them and do 1 album per year. Let me know if you have any questions about it!
This is Us is so good. It is on its way to being on Parenthood’s level! Divorce looks like it is going to make it in my fall lineup. The pilot episode exceeded expectations.
Totes agree on “This is Us!” Story is good. Acting is fantastic. Twists keep it interesting.
And! I feel you on the Google thing. I will type out whole questions, but I feel it usually leads to the best answers. And, it makes me feel better when my typing auto-fills my remaining question. Maybe you are the reason!
I’ve only listened to the Bruno Mars song once because I’m trying not to overplay it to death and ruin it for myself. I don’t always like his music, but I LOVE him for his dance moves. He’s such an awesome entertainer!!
I knoooow – I hate that piles of leaves are not nearly as appealing as an adult. Such a sad reality!! Lol.
Happy Anniversary!!!

I am a classic lyrics mis-hear-er too! [insert raising-hand emoji here]. My worst one lately is Selena Gomez’s song Good For You, I always hear “I’m farting carrots” instead of “I’m a 14-carat.” Yep.
Oh, and for Project Life, I scrapbook chronologically and do an album per year (or, you know, volumes 1-3 since I had a kid and started taking about a million photos). I find the quickest way is to print off a whole month’s worth of photos in one big hit, stick them in the photo pockets, and THEN add in things like journal cards, embellishments, stickers, etc one page at a time. I’m still behind but since starting this system I’ve made better progress!
The other day as I was making white chicken chili and contemplating putting sour cream on top, I started singing the “Daisy” sour cream ad. However I thought the lyrics were “Start of the day with a dollop, a dollop, a dollop, etc.” and proceeded to ask my husband who eats sour cream in the morning? Do they put it on eggs? What are they eating?! Only to find out those are not the correct lyrics. We found this pretty hysterical considering I went on a ten minute tangent of why you’d eat sour cream at the start of your day. Also I always thought Macy Gray’s lyrics to “I try” were “Though I try to hide it, it’s clear, I blow bubbles when you are not near.” (I’m not kidding.) I’m the worst at song lyrics. Don’t get me started on Adele songs.
This Is Us is my FAVORITE show! oh.my.gawd! when Kate sang in front of the retirement home, I cried for her little soul that could! I’m on a mission to find out if she has an album (yeah I’m old) out….her remake of “Time After Time” was beyond amazing. I pink puffy heart her. I want to punch Kevin though…I hope he straightens out and flies right or that Kate stands up to him someday. PS – love Kate’s boyfriend – the red carpet made me swoon! I came into the show not knowing anything about what it was – hadn’t read a thing – so it took me until the second episode to figure out that they were triplets and there were flash backs….but I’m hooked!
I always think my lyrics are better than the original :)
Googles “what is the seven year itch?” Hahaha.
Google is My BFF.
Omg…my 8 year anniversary is today and I thought the EXACT same thing about the 7 year itch! Boom! We nailed it, girl????
Project Life App!!! Then also download the Persnickety prints app. You can make folders for all your pics on your phone. Then when you are sotting around with a little time to kill, add the pics to a page layout in the app. Then you can upload the completed pages right to the persnickety prints app and print 12×12 pages. They have the same look as the pages but you dont have to fill out all the little notecards or keep track of them.
Every year I make a photo scrapbook using shutterfly – I keep it to the 20 pages that is the standard, and just make sure it includes the core things – birthdays, holidays, and a few random outings. It doesn’t get every picture in, but it’s a good recap of our life! :)
“Starbucks Lovers”!!!!!
That’s what I thought too!!!
Thought I was the only weirdo. Had to look up the lyrics on the internets, cause I couldn’t for the life of me figure it out. Lol
