Summer Fridays, Vol 13.
You guys! I can’t believe that this is the last summer fridays post of the year! This summer FLEW by. Like last year, I’m ending summer fridays on Labor Day weekend – more on that below! Thanks for an amazzzzing summer. xo
EATING
My nutty harvest honeycrisp salad! This week my local farm will have honeycrisps and I CANNOT WAIT. This is possibly my favorite salad of all time. Who has made it?
DRINKING
September sangria! Sure, it’s a day or so early, but this is the best sangria to take you from late summer to early fall.
BAKING
My lemon pistachio zucchini cake! It’s full of vegetables. Of course.
GRILLING
This cinnamon sugar toast with figs and ricotta. It’s so good this time of year.
MAKING
All the football food. And you can find another one of my favorite tailgate menus here!
LISTENING
To our 2019 tailgate playlist. How is it that time again?!
READING
Last night, I started reading Paperback Crush. OH MY GOSH it is my tween years in a book. I’m loving it. But! I would love to know what your favorite book of the summer was! I actually think that mine was Mrs. Everything. I am still thinking about it. Not in the way that I still think about The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo (best book of my life), but I’m still so taken with the story.
SHOPPING
I reeeeally want to be able to pull off these wedge sneakers. I’m pretty sure that five or so years ago I said multiple times about how terrible I thought wedge sneakers were. Well, here we are, and I want these. But I don’t think I can do it! I’m not cool enough. I love that brand though. And I really want my favorite sweater blazer in leopard print.
DECORATING
For fall this weekend. I am! I won’t start doing all the pumpkin things for another month or so, but you better believe my fall decor is going up on Sunday!
SHARING
A new video for my favorite easy lemon chicken noodle soup! It’s great for the coming months.
BRINGING
Back cocktail Thursdays! Starting next week after Labor Day, I’m bringing my thirsty Thursday drink posts back! I’ve already created most cocktails through September and October and I can’t wait to share. So many good ones are coming up! Stay tuned!
LOVING
How much you guys adored summer fridays this year. It was even better than last year, and honestly I almost didn’t bring it back! Like I mentioned above, this is the last post as I’ll go back to sharing recipes on Fridays after Labor Day. I just love the fall season SO much and have such an enormous amount of recipes (hello, see cocktail Thursdays above!) that I want to share with you. But this has been so very fun all season and perhaps I’ll throw one over on my Crumbs section in the fall!
Def going to be a s’mores filled weekend over here.

Loved Summer Fridays! Hope you bring it back again next year! Happy LDW!!
I am so excited to pick honey crisps this weekend! I imagine I will be coming home with $100 in apples.
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo was my favorite book of the summer. Followed by It Ends with Us. It’s funny, I love to read all summer and then fall happens and I’m all, “Now I need to get to read more.” I’m a nerd.
Ya for thirsty thursdays!
I saw on another blog (forget where!) that Mrs. Everything wasn’t very good so I quit it – I was about 20 pages in. But now that I just read YOUR post I feel like I have to get back to it, which I means getting back on the looooooooong library waitlist. Such a dilemma :) Happy Friday!
DEFINITELY loved this series!
So excited for Drinky Thursdays…I really missed them! We are all about making this last weekend of Summer count…it is not really warm enough to go to the pool but still lots of stuff we haven’t had time to do yet. Can’t believe school starts Tuesday!
I LOVE Summer Fridays! It’s the perfect mix of a couple of recipes & lifestyle. Thank you for bringing them back this year. I’m feeling ready for fall now.
I love these! Can you do like a Fall Friday’s? Then Winter Friday’s? It’s so nice to hear what you’re loving and why!
Enjoyed Summer Fridays! Glad you did it!
So excited to see thirsty Thursday’s come back. I loved summer Friday’s. And love the thought of an occasional “Fall Friday” post. I have to read the seven husband of Evelyn Hugo. I have heard so many good things about it. I hope to see summer Friday’s back next year. BTW I saw a Lisa frank phone case the other day and immediately thought how much you would love it. Have a great weekend.
Yes! Fall Fridays!!! These posts are great and I have listened to your playlists all summer. They are awesome!
Yes!!! Please make these posts for Fall! (If I cant get a full fall…and holiday!😍…on Fridays, I’ll enjoy it on Crumbs😉😉)
Thanks for all the shares!
I enjoyed Mrs. Everything. But my favorite book of the summer was Evvie Drake Starts Over.
