year ten

You guys!

Yesterday marked ten years (!!!) since I started blogging. TEN YEARS!

That’s ten years in my favorite space, right here, with all of you.

Ten years of recipes, rambles and run-on sentences.

Lately, I’ve been telling people that my blog is like a coming-of-age story – while not a literary work of art at all, or even close to a memoir – I have written here almost every.single.day for TEN YEARS. Mostly about my life and family and what’s going on behind all the recipes.

Yes, we all know that I blog about food here, but I think for those of you that have been here, I mean, REALLY BEEN HERE, for years, you know that I blog about more than food. I like to write my blog posts almost like a daily diary. I share more “lifestyle” (whatever that amazing word has become) things on Crumbs, sometimes even three or four times a week.

It means everything to me that you have been here. That you’ve stuck around through my cringiest blog posts (hello), one book, one baby, another baby and another book, but here, every day you stayed with me. And I love you so much for it.

THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU.

I’ve been blogging for so long, since before social media (okay, ALMOST ALL of social media) existed, before instagram and pinterest and Facebook fan pages. Before sponsored posts were a thing. I hope you know that I would blog if all of those things disappeared. That those things really don’t matter to me. That I love this to a ridiculous level even though it’s become my job. I hope I’ve conveyed that this space, right here, is what matters the most to me!

I love this blog so much, but what I love even more is that you are a part of it.

Your comments and emails and messages make me so happy – like I have a bunch of pen pals.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that there has NEVER been a day I wanted to quit this. Never! Not one! Not a day that I haven’t loved it, haven’t been so grateful, that it hasn’t meant the world to me.

I can not thank you enough for helping to make this space happen, sticking around for the ride and basically becoming my online BFF in a non-creepy way, of course.

I LOVE YOU.
