A Week in the Life, Vol 4.
Not sure how it’s still January, but here we are!
This winter sunset gave some life to the week.
Last week was a cookbook shoot week! It’s insane and my house looks like a bomb went off.
Here’s a peek behind the scenes.
Erin helped me styled the photos, thank goodness.
Peanut butter strawberry toast bites for the babes.
Max had been begging to make banana bread for over a week. We had the ripe bananas soo….
It turned out great!
We modeled some onion goggles. Very fashionably.
Emilia’s turn!
This hilarious shot is Max “putting Emilia down for a nap” while they were playing in the basement. I can’t even.
After three straights days of shooting for the book, eggs were all I could muster for dinner. Nothing else sounded remotely appealing.
Lacy bought Max the rainbow explosion cake for his birthday and they finally made it this week!
I mean, how fun is this?!
And how proud is he?! I saved the entire thing to my instagram highlights so I can go back and watch it at midnight when I’m trying to sleep and exhausted but decide to look at my phone “for 5 minutes.”
From the kitchen to the ice!
Emilia just casually bouncing on a ball during music class. She’s also ready for valentine’s day.
Our weekly target run might be everyone’s favorite hour. Stickers FTW.
Think these come in my size?!
If only I could dress myself like I dress my child….
She loves watching Max play basketball too.
The floral chandelier at hotel monaco never fails to amaze me. It’s just so pretty!
And I sort of wish I could decorate my house like this.
Raise your hand if Connect 4 was your favorite! That, Guess Who, Hungry Hungry Hippos… the list goes on.
This is sweet.
And makes my heart happy!
Post nap Moana viewing.
I don’t love baking but dough… ahhh it’s just so good.
Emilia decided to use my reeeeeally nice Marc Jacobs brush to apply her “makeup” (diaper cream). This was great.
I think I’ll keep her though.
xoxo

The banana bread picture on the plastic give me Dexter vibes. 😂. If Dexter was a baker? New snow idea? Thanks for sweet weekly peeks into your life.
bahahaha!!

YES TO ALL OF THE ABOVE!!! Plus Candyland, Life and Operation.
yessss!
Gah! Love the explosion cake! I am making one for my daughter’s birthday, but I’m doing funfetti and tie dye layers. Starting my layers today, wish me luck…never made a layer cake before, omg.
I really enjoy these weekly posts! Life is a blur, good to have it documented.
thank you!! xoxo

Loved Connect 4 the most. Hand is raised. Those onion goggles, SO adorable. And I as an adult sometimes wish I could dress like Emilia. Love Max’s cake. I hope it was as delicious as it looked.
thanks courtney! xo

Have you tried Tracy’s (Shutterbean) chocolate banana bread? I thought I had a good banana bread recipe but this is BEYOND amazing! This is the reason I throw my bananas in the freezer when they are past their prime. You MUST try the recipe.
i haven’t!! i must. i will add it to the list!
My girls get into my make-up way more than I care to remember. I’ve only found dish detergent to really help get it out… And yes you have to keep her she’s so gorgeous.
:)
i gasped when i saw that brush ! i have it and know the price LOL.
i also want to wear heart shoes and gold pants and a leopard jacket ? does that pass as “business casual”. thank you for showing behind the scenes on the cookbook. its so interesting. silly me i thought you made one meal at a time and photographed it after doing all dishes (by someone else of course) in some studio. clearly i have no idea what the process is !
