A Week in the Life, Vol 7.
Hi February! You’re looking cute.
It’s crazy how much rain we’ve had this winter.
Oh don’t worry, we were up at 6am for our first Frozen II viewing on Tuesday morning. #robelife
I made a red wine latte this week for you!
And we filled out lots of valentines.
Obligatory blurry hockey shot.
And a piece of pizza FROM THE ICE RINK (#boys) that is as big as his head.
’tis the season! At Target, actually.
How cute are these cupcakes from my dad? Chocolate PB and chocolate covered strawberry.
Pre-valentines party.
Mid-valentines party.
Post-valentines party. All sugared up.
This may be my favorite picture ever taken.
We baked cookies! Mostly for Eddie (his favorite).
I relinquished all control and let Max frost them all by himself.
And I made the kids personal pan heart pizzas.
And a huge heart pizza for Eddie! The only downside was that this pepperoni had fennel seeds. THE WORST.
This is her favorite seat on Saturdays.
Iced blonde vanilla.
On Saturday we went to the car show! I’m not into cars at all, but after being at the car show I want, like, six different ones. I shall never go back!
My babes.
I mean shouldn’t we get a truck like this because they just look so cute in the back.
Max says “Emilia do your mean face.”
Just kidding!
This classic marg was not the best. Did I finish it? Of course.
I can’t with him!
I really just need all of my tacos to have a soft shell wrapped around a hard one.
And that’s a sunday mood!
xoxoxo

I love your blog and these food/drink pics always make me hungry! Especially these tacos and donuts! Your kiddos are adorable and the same ages as my boys so it’s always fun to see other kids in their everyday lives! Where did you get Max’s valentine’s T-shirt? Love your recipes too!
hahahaha, i love Emilia’s mean face!! I burst out laughing at that one. And loved all the cupcake shots. :-)
Love this weekly snapshot!
OT question ~ When you posted your Kitchen Remodel you mentioned all of your new Kitchen-Aid appliances. Are you still happy with that decision? I’m starting to plan my own remodel and am deep into the weeds researching appliances. Any Kitchen-Aid feedback would be appreciated :)
yessss!!! i still LOVE my kitchenaid appliances. especially the ovens. and i have to say that i run the dishwasher sometimes 3-4 times a day during book photography and it has help up AMAZING!!!
Thanks so much!
Butting in to say we have a KitchenAid gas stove and dishwasher and I love them too!
I so appreciate the feedback. Thank you :)
Oh the fennel seeds! I totally feel you on that one. I love this WITL series ♥️

Chiming in just to say how much I LOVE the new “A Week in the Life” series. I read your blog exclusively for your voice, and my goodness does it bring joy. …and I read only the lifestyle posts! This might seem crazy or awful or both, but I’ve actually never made a How Sweet Eats recipe—not because they don’t look a m a z i n g, but because a mix of my dietary preferences and very habitual meal prep means I’m rarely a recipe-inspired cook. But I love the blog so much that I do often wind up gifting your cookbook to friends! This is a long way of saying you are wonderful and your writing is so, so appreciated!
