Lazy Day Shots.
The early bird gets the worm!
Today was an overcast and dreary day. Nothing better to do than lay around and be bums.
Way too much time was spent working on this puzzle. I swear it is a trick puzzle. It is impossible.
After 6 consecutive hours of laying around, we took a little walk. I wanted to share some pictures of my great-grandparents house – the reason we began vacationing here in the first place!
Isn’t is cute? We only stay a few blocks from it now right on the lake.
This is their view from the street:
And the steep steps down to the dock:
These steps used to be rotted old wood and I can remember my parents being scared we’d tumble down them.
I am obsessed with these colorful adirondack chairs:
My dream would be to sit in one of those, stare at the lake and write all day.
My dad had a few too many Summer Shandy’s and took a few “naps” on the dock.
Then my other brother, cousin and grandpa arrived.
2 generations:
And how can a night be bad when it ends like this?

In FL, they sell Adirondack chairs at every grocery store, gas station and drug store. In any color you want!! :)
I love all your vacation posts and pictures. I feel like I am right there relaxing with you. Enjoy your time with your family!
Is it bad that when I read your post title, I thought you were going to have some crazy alcoholic shot recipe to share??
I guess beautiful pictures are just as good… ;)

I can’t do puzzles to save my lifeeeeee.
I want some smores!
I’m loving all these pics! So glad you’re having a great time :)
Jessica, it is beautiful! I would love to sit in those chairs and write too! Enjoy the rest of your trip!
It’s been forever since I’ve had a smore!
Looks like such a relaxing, family-filled good time! Nothing beats that. :)
Those steps are scary!

what is a summer shandy?! I’m loving all your vacation pics Jessica. It looks like such a great time. I kind of want to live in your great grandparents house.
It’s so picturesque! I want to sit on one of those colorful chairs and read all day.
Now I desperately want a s’more! I think vanilla chai will be a poor substitute.
My family always does puzzles while at the beach – there is a designated table. I can’t wait to start one in a few weeks! :)
Omg, those s’mores look delicious!! What makes them taste so good?? It’s just graham cracker, marshmallow, and chocolate yet when you put it together it something AH-MAZING. haha
Looks like you are having a good time with your family :-D
I love the lawn chairs all in a row – great shot!
Fantastic photos. It looks like this place is beautiful and the perfect place for a nice little getaway. That puzzle does look tricky. The ones that are all one color are the WORST!! Yikes. Good luck.
I like those chairs a lot too. I would sit there all day and read, while getting some sun and vitamin D. Sounds perfect to me!
Oh my goodness how picturesque! I’m drooling over that house. Talk about the perfect look.
You take the most beautiful pictures.
Traverse City is my hometown..my house is just across the lake from the one youre staying in!
That looks like a tough puzzle. I used to love doing them when I was a kid!!
