Last Night.
Mr. How Sweet walked through the door with a surprise.
A very sweet surprise. Literally.
Okay… six very sweet surprises.
Plus one to fight over. I won. But I gifted it to him.
Chocolate lava cake. Yeah… that was to die for.
Milk chocolate. Classy and timeless. Nothing like myself.
But our favorite? Red velvet. Hands down.
And Mr. How Sweet claimed that since we ate lean meat and whole wheat bread for dinner, plus the fact that truffles are bite size… that they actually have negative calories. Best husband ever.

That’s my kind of Romance
Haha, got to love having a husband that’s on the same page as you when it comes to nutrition. ;-)
I have a Godiva membership card and it allows me one free piece each month. I feel so bad because I rarely buy anything there. Well, kind of bad…
We have one too! Of course.
Godiva truffles = :D
Wow. Way to go Mr. How Sweet. :)
Anything red velvet will always win in my book. YUM!
he’s a smart man :)
that lava one looks Dreamy.
I like the way Mr How Sweet thinks! Smart man! :)
I’m pretty sure if I had a red velvet truffle I would instantly die in euphoria. What a nice treat for you!
I want some now!
Oooh i love his logic. And his thoughtfulness.
What a stud.
a good man you got there, chocolate makes it all better.
Now I just need to find me a man that will bring me home negative calorie chocolates. :)
Haha too cute. Sounds like a wonderful surprise treat!
Don’t all truffles have negative calories? Let’s get real here.
I say they do.
Your husband is exactly right!
That is an AWESOME surprise!! OMG, I need to try those flavors next time we’re at the Godiva store. They look divine. :)
Nice work to Mr. How Sweet on picking a red velvet truffle – bet it was great.
I totally made some red velvet ganache last weekend. It didn’t taste like red velvet until I added the food coloring. It’s true.
Best husband ever!
hold on to that man, jessica! ;)
Red velvet truffles = died & gone to heaven. Red velvet isn’t as popular or accessible where I live in Canada. I might have to check online to see if I can get my hands on some of those….I’ll use my hubby’s credit card so it’s like he’s bought me a surprise….that counts right ??? ;-)
Counts for me!
They look awesome. What i wouldnt give for something like this to happen for me. :)
Smart man. In several ways, according to this post. =)
Love!!! I didn’t know Godiva made a red velvet truffle….life changing!!!
Yeah, that’s a great husband. I don’t know how you paused long enough to take those photos. Those are 1-bite truffles to me ;)
It was tough!
I love his logic! :)
So smart! I would kill for that chocolate lava cake one right now. I mean, not kill… But close!
Sweet! Can he teach Dan to come home with surprises like that?
Yes, whole wheat bread + bite size truffles = negative calories. Good thinking Mr. Sweet.
How sweet of Mr. How Sweet! :)
I think he’s a keeper. I think you probably also know that ;)
Oh I’ve tried the red velvet truffle… so good!
How sweet of Mr. How Sweet! :)
He buys you flowers and chocolate? You’re one lucky girl. :)

Yummmmmmm, I want to be your honorary sister. Then I’ll be Mr. How Sweet’s sister, and then he MUST buy me chocolate too (because that’s what brothers are supposed to do, you know.) If he’s interested in an honorary sister in law to send chocolates to, I won’t mind sharing my address with you. Hehe. (:
i seriously laughed out loud on the negative calories comment. it sounds like something my boyfriend would say. and i would eagerly nod in agreement with a mouthful of truffles.

Saw your recipe here!
I workout daily.. but I really need to lay off the refined anything….but that was a sweet introduction to your sweets…
The red velvet truffle actually looks like cookie dough inside.
You should make a bacon and chocolate truffle. Those definitely would have negative calories!
ooh yum! what a good hubby!
I think my husband would do this for me too… but I so often already have bunch loads of chocolate in the house there is never a need! Yikes. Maybe I need to have a little less around???? Nah. :)
Last weekend when I was in Charleston, SC, my husband and I each got the chocolate lava cake truffle. OMG. It was AMAZING! What a sweet sweet husband to get you all of those. You did good! ;-)
OMG I LOVE GODIVA CHOCOLATES!!!! Back in High School, after we got our licenses, my best friend and I used to go to the mall just for the Godiva chocolate covered strawberries. To this day when I walk by Godiva it reminds me of those wonderful days. And those wonderful strawberries
Yummy! I need to run to Godiva’s right now
Hehe, LUV your logic! :D
The chocolate lava cakes are the best truffles ever!!! You’re a lucky girl ;)
Aawww…how sweet! (pun intended!) He was buttering you up for Nascar this weekend! ;-)
