The Outcome.
We just had an amazing dinner! Thanks for all of your suggestions in the comments.
I ended up caramelizing the chicken and made a mushroom and wine sauce, along with some grilled herbed bread and a salad. It was one of the best meals we’ve had in a looooong time. In fact, Mr. How Sweet just turned to me and said, “I can’t believe how good that was.”
The best part? It only took 25 minutes from start to finish. (!!)
I didn’t measure a thing, but it was so insanely delicious that I’m thinking of making it again this week. If you guys are interested, I’ll make it and post it as a recipe. What do you think?

I don’t even like mushrooms and I’m drooling!
Wine sauce, a 25 min dinner, and it turning out fab and NOT measuring things or taking tons of pics. Amen girl.
happy for you!!!!!!!
Yum! When it comes to cooking (not baking!) I rarely measure and I’ve always been successful… :-)
The Cake Batter Rice Krispies were a HUGE hit in this house… Thank you!!!
You are so welcome!
Would love the recipe! I could use some 25 minute meals in my life. ;-)
That looks so good! I’m obsessed with sandwiches of all different kinds. The other night I did have a fried egg with cheddar sandwich on fresh sourdough, and it was delicious! Breakfast for dinner plus sandwiches is always a winning combination. Back to the subject on hand though, I would love to see a recipe for this! :D
Loooove cooked mushrooms – they are my favorite!!
yes please share!! That look delish!!
What a great Sunday meal! Caramelizing anything is an awesome idea.
I have a baguette waiting to be devoured…. dreaming butter and camerlized onions.. but the wine..hmm.. it’s only 10 am here.. if I broke that out now, what would people say?
Absolutely!!! Can’t wait for it! :-)
Please share!! I need to use up some mushrooms!

That meal looks fabulous – especially the mushrooms!!!
Oh wow. That looks awesome. I think good bread really makes a meal in and of itself.

Please share the recipe! You are killing me! ;)
Girl! I made something the other night that you would absolutely love! The mushrooms in this reminded me of it. I broiled a salmon fillet and put that over egg noodles with a sauce made of onions and mushrooms sauteed in a little worschestire sauce (and of course salt, pepper, garlic powder, and just a little dill). Then i added some heavy cream and sour cream to help it thicken a bit. At the end i put in some torn spinach (I swear you cant taste it!!) and a couple dashes of hot sauce. I would eat this every day if i could :)
Yes, please post! I was super sad when I got to the end of this entry and there was no recipe after that great intro you had for it, haha.
Please, oh please do make it again and post about it! I’ve been away for few days and I have missed so much! :-)
Yes please!
