I do this all the time! Maybe it’s subconscious and I’m doing it on purpose without realizing, but I have NO grace when it comes to opening wine. I usually make Nick do it for me!
This is why I love my super easy corkscrew… I put it on top of the bottle, push the lever down and pull it back up. Otherwise my corks would look like this because I am terrible with a corkscrew!
That’s all it takes to make sure you “have” to drink the whole bottle? If only I had known. The worst though is when it breaks with half of it in the bottle. I hate that.

That’s so disappointing when it happens. However, it does give you an excuse to drink up:) Just be responsible!
Startin early today I see!
Hahah actually it was for a recipe!
excuses Jess.. :)
I love when that happens.

But a great way to start the weekend :)
That exact thing happened to me last night! We were already planning on drinking the whole bottle though, so we really didn’t mind that much. :-D

Gee, that sucks ;)
that happens to me EVERY time I open a bottle. fail. I don’t always drink the whole bottle though. sometimes I save it for the following night ;)
this makes me love you even more… because you’re poppin’ a bottle before 3 p.m.
At least the cork didn’t wind up in the bottle! That’s the worst!
I like the way you think ;)
Oh what a shame! Don’t let any go to waste! :)
Bummer…especially for a Friday! :-)
Better than breaking INSIDE the bottle! Nothing like drinking wine sprinkled with cork bits!
Oh boo. yup…the whole bottle. It’s the rule.
Hey, it’s after 12 noon here, too now. It’s always after 12 somewhere in the world though, right? :)
I hate when that happens! At least its a legit reason to start drinking early. :)
Better finish that off tonight! :-)
Something tells me you two will have no problem with that. Enjoy it! :)
Now if drinking an entire bottle of wine isn’t the worst thing ever, I don’t know what is.
I think it might be against the rules to leave a bottle of open wine…
I’m jealous. I’m also pregnant……..meaning I would LOVE to enjoy some wine. But I’ll wait another 4 months.
LOL!! I hate that!! ;)
What kind of wine are you drinking? I’ll help you if it is a red wine. ;) I guess it is happy hour somewhere in this world!
It’s chardonnay!
What a bummer… hope it’s a good one!
It was meant to be. :)
I hate when that happens ! ;P
well yea…of course you do.
Oh noooooooooooo! Well, a girl’s gotta do, what a girl’s gotta do! hahaha

we have had it for years and love it.
That happened to me a week ago and somehow red wine ended up on my ceiling. It’s still there by the way. Enjoy the vino!
haha Awww, shucks – the whooole bottle? :-P
I hate (read: giggle and enjoy it) when that happens. Except, of course, it’s then harder to sniff the cork, which might be my favourite part…
That’s not such a bad thing. ;)
I would take this moment to brag about my electric wine opener, but then again, I really wouldn’t mind if this happened to me! Haha
Let’s drink up sweet pea! ;D
See, this is why we buy boxed wine.
I hope you’re not wearing those new shoes – you might break your ankle!! :)
It’s called fate. After some of your troubles this week, this bottle was meant to be consumed in one sitting….Cheers!
I hope it was good! :-)
Ahhh shucks :-)
