What Happens In Vegas.
Clearly doesn’t stay there. Here are some Thursday things, shared by that one husband of mine.
1. As most of you are aware, I was in Vegas over the weekend attending a wedding for a close friend from work. I split a room with a co-worker, who I later found out snored like a chainsaw. It was loud. It was relentless. I got approximately 7 ½ minutes of sleep that first night. And now I completely understand what Jess has been saying for the past 42 odd months.
2. You may also have heard that I have a strong dislike for ricotta cheese. Always have. So you can understand the great joy it provided my wife’s cousin Lacy, to inform me at a Christmas party that the dish I was enjoying was not pasta drowned in olive oil and mini ice cream scoops of finely grated parmesan cheese, but rather pasta drowned in olive oil and mini ice cream scoops of ricotta cheese.
3. Which brings me to my next point. I was informed that in the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas there is a secret pizza joint. It’s not advertised anywhere. So since it was SECRET and PIZZA it was my life’s mission to find it. And find it I did… smothered in ricotta.
4. I guess I like ricotta now.
5. I was propositioned by a lady of the night on Saturday at approximately 8:00AM, after another sleepless night, as I was finishing up my run outside the Bellagio. Yeah… I’ve still got it.

haaaa…this is too funny. Everyone knows the “lady of the night” test is the true indicator of having “it”
Ahahahaha – that last one was phenomenal.
“Lady of the night.” Hilarious. I was in Vegas in February and was shocked to see the skeezy folks with the girlie flyers actually hand one to a child. I’m upset that I didn’t know about this secret pizza place.
you two are the same person
i mean, except for the whole lady of the night thing.
i love you bbooottthhhhhh
there’s no place like vegas!
Yay! Loved this post from Mr. How Sweet! You need to appear more often. And agree with Michele – you two ARE the same person.
Ha… that is just cracking me up because we really are SO different!
LOL that’s awesome!
great post. the lady of the night may have just been some poor soul with letover smokey eyes from the night before. it happens.
Haha, that last one is too funny!!
I was in Las Vegas last weekend & took very similar pictures! Even the flowers at The Wynn! They were stunning & smelled so lovely. http://pinterest.com/pin/143693044330963111/
I now want to have my boy right a blog post lol this is hilarious
Yay for the secret pizza place, we found it on our last visit there too!
LOVE that the Mr. did a post. You two sound similar. I used to hate black olives until I found out tthe tapenade I was devouring at a work Christmas party was full of them. Now I honestly do love them. Oooh, or those homestyle ripe green ones, they are like butter! Anyhow…
I love the Mr. guest post! Glad you had a good trip! :)
Didn’t think it was possible, but Mr. How Sweet is almost as adorable as you, Jess! You should collaborate more often! ;)
Where is this secret pizza place?! I am staying at the Cosmopolitan for a bachelorette party in a few weeks and we will need pizza! ps- was it any good?
I’ve been sworn to secrecy!
But if I were looking for a secret pizza joint I just might take the escalators up to, let’s say, the third floor. Then I might head straight for a hallway that could be lined with old Sinatra and Dean Martin album covers.
And if there was a secret pizza joint they would probably serve New York style pizza. Which I guess would taste pretty good.
But you didn’t hear that from me.
If my brother’s wedding weren’t so small – I’d wonder if Mr. Sweet and I were at the same wedding. It was a great weekend for a Vegas wedding :)
I want to live at the Wynn. I could not get over how gorgeous that hotel is.
Love it!
I never thought I liked ricotta either .. until I ate it without knowing in a restaurant dish. I still don’t love it if it’s a big blob. I also don’t like “raw” cheese (like cubed cheese with crackers) but I like most cheese when it’s melted on pizza or a sandwich. I know, I’m weird.
Wow. Not sure who I like better now…you or your husband!
This just made my day! I had to re-read it like 3 times to understand that it was not you, but your husband!
haha Lydia, I did too!
Can she be a lady of the night if propositioned you at 8am? Wouldn’t that make her a lady of the awkwardly early morning?
Good point!
Hahahahaha this was awesome. He should guest post more often :)
What a good sport! Great shots, too. He’s a keeper, I think.
Ha. This is awesome!!
hahaha omg loveee
Glad you had a blast…and a secret pizza joint? Right there, I would have wanted to find it, too. That’s my equivalent of a “secret” Neiman Marcus. I’d have to find it :)
DUDE! I went to Vegas in November and obsessed about finding the secret pizza place for weeks before our trip. I was so pumped when we found it I did a little happy dance right there in the hallway. That ricotta pizza was so good!
Oh, Vegas. Gotta love it. My hubby got handed “lady of the night” flyers as we were walking down the street together HOLDING HANDS. LoL.
Loved the post. Too funny. Vegas, it’s like another world. At least the strip is, once you leave the strip it is like any other place except extremely hot, windy and sandy.
ricotta first, coconut next? My husband has discovered he actually loves goat cheese and after I introduced him to coconut rum he’s convinced it is in fact the best.thing.ever. :)
I’m hoping!!
My husband always says that guys don’t share rooms…maybe it’s because of the snoring!
I also found it amazing to see kids being handed “lady of the night – or awkward early moening” fliers when we were there!
It was a few years ago that we went…but I had no idea that there was a secret pizza place…I will keep those secret (I have no idea where I heard them…) directions in mind next time!
Thanks for these posts, they are wonderful!
I saw the pizza picture and I knew right away that it was the secret pizza place. My god the pizza is so amazing. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
We found that secret a few weeks ago…love the hallway and the rest of the old Vegas pictures scattered about. My cabana boy also had 2 different encounters with the “ladies” on this trip….except his was at 3 am in the Flamingo casino!!
Yes! Ricotta lovers unite! Welcome to the club Mr. How Sweet!
You’re awesome, Mr. how Sweet!
So does this mean that there is a copycat ricotta pizza in the wings??
oh my gosh, your husband is hilarious, just like you! i love it :) i’ve never been to vegas, but you bet yer booty i’m gonna put that top secret pizza place on my list when i DO go!
Loved the post, too!….but not the idea of 2 male friends sharing a room…ew….sorry……gotta laugh, though, I always said I hated Dr. Pepper but loved cherry Coke until my sneaky son told me one day he’d been giving me Dr. Pepper from the soda machine and I liked it!
How did you find out about the pizza place??? I loved the Cosmo hotel when we were just in Las Vegas (There are like 200 Vegas pictures all over my blog) but we ate our pizza at New York New York. Sounds like a great trip (minus the rommate)!
Ha ha! This cracked me up! Sounds like Mr. How Sweet needed the white noise app while in Vegas, huh Jessica? :-)
5 is kind of awesome!! hahaha

haha! You DO still have it, gorgeous lady!
Please tell me you ran and told your husband about this proposition almost immediately.
This looks so delicious. I will definitely start following you, this is amazing.
You should totally do a blog of your own.
Also, seeing that picture of the inside of the Wynn makes me want to go have brunch at their buffet. Forever.
That just made my day! ^^
