Tuesday Things.
1. I am dyyyyyying to make this chocolate stout beer. I would never have the patience but I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it.
2. Want to know something weird? You guys know I’m a lover of fiction but I hate when technology like Facebook is written in. Why? I’m so dumb. I mean, I’m pretty sure the Fbook (feel free to replace “face” with your other favorite f word) is around to stay. Maybe because I just wish it would disappear forever? That would be lovely.
3. I think we are going to see the Oz movie tonight. Was it terrible? I have a major girl crush on Rachel Weisz. Which is odd because my husband has a major guy crush on Daniel Craig. Our crushes got married! That’s annoying.
4. My mind is blown over this blueberry maple ice cream soda. I would have never come up with such a fab idea. I want her brain.
5. Is anyone else’s fascination with Justin Timberlake out of control? What is this, 1999? We should start a club.
6. We’ve come to that time of year again where I feel it necessary to announce how daylight savings has saved my life. It gives me, like, three extra hours to work and it is wonderful.
7. Oh! I broke down and got a pair of the wedge sneakers (in black). I’m pretty sure I look like a giant a-hole. I’m pretty sure my husband won’t ever be seen in public with me if I wear them. I’m pretty sure they have to go back. Wah. Actually, they are still sitting in the box and maybe if I play with them some more, I can figure out how to not look like a total tool? Probably not.
8. I lovedlovedloved this past episode of Girls, besides the fact that Hannah’s utter grossness is becoming a bit too much to handle. Her crazy ways are one thing and can be slightly relatable, but I don’t know anyone, nor have I ever, that is just that… gah-ross. Also: bone to pick. The whole Shoshanna and Ray thing? I don’t get it. One episode you’re saying you’re in love and the next you’re making out with someone else? So were you just throwing the word around? If you’re really falling in love everyone knows how amazing and fun and WOW that feeling is and the last thing you’re thinking of is making out with someone else, right? I’m so confused. And my secondhand embarrassment for Marnie was unreeeeal.
9. I am so, so insanely in love with Connie Britton (hence my obsession with Nashville) and last week a reader shared this with me: 16 reasons everyone loves Connie Britton. Obsessed. My personal favorite is probably #8 because uh, I hate being called a lady.
10. (Also, if you know me at all you know I’m anything BUT a lady. Unfortunately.)
11. Cadbury mini eggs will be the death of me. The end. Tell me something fun?

JT is THE BOMB! I have been fascinated with this man and it doesn’t matter that I am much older than him. He makes me smile! And Connie Britton is my major girl crush. She is so adorable and when I get my hair cut and colored I always ask for Connie Britton hair, and my hairdresser just laughs.
I actually think Shoshanna definitely WAS throwing the word ‘love’ around. She lost her virginity to the guy, and she’s only a senior in college. She’s totally still figuring out relationships, so I get the two of them sort of being together and her making out with someone else.
excellent point!!
Did anyone else notice that Charlie messed with his computer before having office sex with Marnie? Like maybe he turned on a webcam or something? I can’t stop wondering about this.
I literally told my husband yesterday that JT was my Hall Pass. Never mind that he doesn’t believe in hall passes! hahaha. I mean he is so hot, and funny, and talented, how can you resist him. Did you SEE SNL this weekend? It’s only ever funny when he is on it. And that say something if you ask me. He is ridic.
Also, the grocery store was out of mini cadbury eggs last week so I bought the 4 pack of regular sized ones and ate them in 2 days. Then I had to run to the grocery store at lunch today and found the minis and bought those. Freaking Cadbury eggs ALWAYS ruin my diet in the spring. It should be illegal for those and girl scout cookies to be out at the same time.
I adore cadbury mini eggs! I have already eaten way too many of them this year, so addictive!
my brother sent me this link for this cadbury egg dip today, thought you might be interested:)

OMG where did you find your wedge sneaks? My 14 year old daughter laughs every time I say I want a pair ;( I saw a pair of nike ones that were very cute – so cute Naomi Watts has the same ones. Maybe I will not listen to the laughter and just buy a pair!
nordstrom!
How are you wearing the shoes? I bought a pair after your posts, and I wear them with tight black skinnies and an oversize tee. I think I pull it off, but I kind of have that style? I’d love to see your outfit. Photos, or polyvore!
Eeekk! Girls! I don’t know how I felt about it. In some ways I liked it and others I just couldn’t handle the actions by Hannah! Cringe, cringe, cringe.
Here’s a good recap:

I saw Oz last night and was so disappointed. It was bad….like really, really bad. They tried to bring a lot of modern humor into it and the plot line and acting were just very meh. And this is all saying a lot coming from the girl who usually loves everything she watches and has a girl-crush on Mila Kunis.
I also feel like i need a pair of black wedge sneakers, but have been told that they are unnecessary and silly… I blame Sydney for my longing. She looks so awesome here:

RIGHT?! And the sneakers… Target! Cheapo! How could i NOT want them?
HAPPY TUESDAY!
those dang cadbury eggs get me every year!! I want to see Oz too, but am also worried it might be a let down…
Funny because I actually just got done eating some of those eggs and then I pulled up your post :-) These things are dangerous.
I have to admit that I might be the only person on this planet that has not seen Girls. It’s on my ‘to do’ list but haven’t made time to sit down and actually watch an episode. (I know a travesty!) Oh and the whole daylight savings thing…. Yeah, love. Not only because I can cook, photograph and eat dinner at a normal dinner hour, it means I stay out later ‘playing’ (a.k.a. walking/playing with my dog, doing happy hour with friends, just sitting on my porch, etc.)!
These are my favorite posts each week–totally makes Tuesday worth it! Also love your new series of favorites each month!
I’m right there with you with your JT fascination! I may or may not have watched this weekend’s SNL 3 times… so embarrassing.
I love that you used the word a-hole to describe yourself and your wardrobe. That word (a-hole, not the actual word) is used on the daily over here. It’s going to be really embarrassing when Adrienne says it at church or something.
I don’t care what anyone says, JT is still the man. All that and a bag of salt and vinegar chips.
1. I LOVE cadbury mini eggs!
2. Did you know you can stream JT’s whole new album for free on iTunes right now?? :)
I’m so in love with Cadbury mini eggs that I hoard them…to the effect that I actually managed to have an entire bag (the jumbo one) left over from last year. Time to restock again!
Oh…and they’re fabulous in chocolate chip cookies!
Ugh Hannah is stressing me out and I was so confused about Marnie..like was she trying to be ridiculous or she really didnt know??
And up until this episode I had said that I liked last season a lot better, because this season I haven’t cared much for how each episode has been more focused on one person. I miss the interaction between everyone, but this week’s was much better with that.
JT is the man because he’s one of those rare guys that both men AND women like … women think he’s hot and men think he’s cool. That doesn’t happen too often!
Obsesssssssed with the Cadbury Mini Eggs!
Cadbury Mini Eggs are the death of me – and any diet I think I am on – every year.
And as for JT – there are not words to adequately describe my obsession.
I absolutely love these posts! They make me laugh, especially after a long day! :)
Pleas tell me you have watch all of Friday Night Light?!? Connie B. Is so good in this Show! You have to watch it! Those Blueberry ice cream sodas look so good!
I just got my wedge sneakers in the mail today! I finally broke down last weekend and ordered a pair. Bright blue ones. And I’m wearing them shopping tomorrow. We shall see how that goes. And yes to JT everything! Thank you for making Tuesdays less terrible with your Things! :D
I loved this episode of Girls. I just want Adam’s character to be happy though – I hope that his umm…incident with Shiri Appelby’s character doesn’t ruin them already!
Also, I would very much like some mini Cadbury eggs now. Thank you for reminding me of their existence!
That incident was SO a glimmer of hope for the return of Hannah. I laughed . . . a lot.
Aaaah.. I feel the same exact way about wedge sneakers. I think the taupe pair at Target looked pretty decent and they were comfy but I felt like a total tool :/
Found this online this morning…and thought of you:
http://www.dailylife.com.au/dl-food/food-blogs/blogs/the-kitchen-coquette/yes-its-a-cadbury-creme-egg-pudding-20130312-2fxci.html
you are too nice!!
my husband and I have been together since 2005 and I have to explain to him who justin timberlake is, like, every 2.5 years or so…the other day he asked me “who is this ‘Ke$ha’?” I’m his lifeline to popular culture.
I love that Connie Britton managed to play a similar sort of awesome, loving mom to awkward teenage daughters in Friday Night Lights and American Horror Story. I mean, she can keep her business rolled tight in football country AND ghost-y LA. Skills.
PS, mini eggs 4 eva!
oh, and I saw Oz and was pretty disappointed…though I now want to have my own emerald and ruby rose garden and a flying bubble…thanks.
I heard oz was awesome… of course you saw it last night apparently sooo how was it? Did you like it? I really can’t wait to see it. And yeah… Justin. What are you talking about ’99. He so was not hot back then ;) Weren’t those the nsync days and totally bizarre-ness going on.
I loved JT on SNL ! And I also love Tuesday Things sooooooo much..
Your blog is amazing. Just had to tell you how much I love it….recipes, lists, things to watch, and your favorite things are all so much fun to read.
Yay I’m so glad you enjoyed the Connie Britton link I shared :) !!
I’ve come to the totally reassuring conclusion that Marnie is definitely a little bit manic. Actually, I think they all are (except for Shosh…she’s just terribly isolated and sort of Asperger-y; which means I’m manic too, because I’m 22 and a bat-shit mess 75% of the time.
Actually, the only non source of comfort I get from Girls is that Hannah has a book deal and I don’t. Probably, if I don’t have one by the time I’m 24, I’ll end up forever abandoning my pants and attempting to count the revolutions of my stand mixer set on high.
BUT, I’m making corned beef and swiss cheese stuffed pretzel rolls. So that’s okay. And The Scooter Store is going out of business, which means discounts. Grand Canyon with me?
Wedge sneakers? Photos are a requirement on that one.
Ok, so #1? Get yourself a bottle of Southerntier Choklat. No waiting…problem solved!
While you’re at it, pick up a bottle of their Creme Brûlée. It’s like dessert in a beer, seriously.
I am SOOO on this JT train with you. I’m DVRing Jimmy Fallon this week. He’s on every night. It’s over the top JT and I’m all about it. I’m also going to see him in concert with Jay-Z this summer and it’s motivating me at the gym. Is that weird?
Every Tuesday (little behind this week,) it scares me how much we have in common! Mostly, I die for mini cadbury eggs and I jumped on that wedge sneaker train too! Couldn’t resist. People either love or hate them and I’m okay with that. I got khaki colored ones and a couple pairs of fun laces to change to match my outfits! Also, I finally watched Nashville since you rave about it and am already obsessed. Like I’ve already downloaded all the songs and have annoyed my bf over how much I can’t stop talking about it.
Love #3…our crushes got married!!
Have you seen Justin on Jimmy Fallon this week? He’s the total package and I’ve always thought he was hilarious and unbelievably talented. Justin Beiber wishes he was as good as him. I don’t think I’ve ever commented but I just wanted to say that I really like your little list posts. Everytime I see one I end up agreeing with about 99.9% of everything you write!
I am a recent Cadbury chocolate eggs convert. They are amazing.
And, I will join your JT support group.
#1. I love a chocolate stout. Five Seasons Brewery here in Atlanta has an espresso stout with a hint of chocolate that is locally brewed and OH SO GOOD.
#7. I gave in and got the ghetto-fied sneaker wedges, and OMG. I love them. I actually ordered a second pair. As long as you dress them up and not down, you are not quite so ghetto.
And actually, they are quite comfortable.
Yes, my husband hates them. But my love + the comfort level for a pair of heels far outweighs his dislike. Well, in my mind anyway. And that’s all that counts.

I stumbled across this website while searching for a chocolate coconut truffle recipe revamped with extra goo and yummmy-ness for my mother in law for Easter.. Perfect! Thank Youuu. I then found myself laughing out loud and nodding enthusiastically as I read throughout this completely relate-able blog.
.I also must add >> Cadbury mini eggs? out of control! Definitely serve as a good reason to hit the gym more than my usual 3 x per week.. I’m not sure if they are methodically draped all over the counters of every and any vendor in other cities, as they are here in Philadelphia, but goood laawd.. I look forward to them every year, despite the severe bouts of self-deprecation and regret that accompany.. (This goes double for P.B Eggs) uggh >> Anyway, As a fellow foodie, compulsive recipe experimenter, and kitchen dweller, thanks for this breath of fresh air; I’ll be following! :) Oh!,..and the wedge sneakers!? hahahahaha.. my sentiments exactly!
i am way behind on blogs so i apologize for the lateness of this comment, ha. but the way i was making sense of it in my brain was that shoshanna was not used to getting attention from guys. so, she thought she was falling for ray, but once the doorman paid attention for her, that started to change. i don’t know. but i had to try to figure it out, ha.
Craig achieved international fame when chosen as the seventh actor to play the role of James Bond, replacing Pierce Brosnan. Though he was initially greeted with scepticism, his debut in Casino Royale was highly acclaimed and earned him a BAFTA award nomination, with the film becoming the highest-grossing in the series at the time. Quantum of Solace followed two years later. His third Bond film, Skyfall, premiered in 2012 and is now the highest-grossing film in the series.:^
