Embarrassingly Easy Chocolate Covered Grape Skewers.
I’m only mildly horrified that I’m telling you to dip fruit in chocolate and then calling it a “recipe.”
But I say “mildly,” because these are so darn good and if you’re not doing this already, you must must must. These may take over chocolate covered strawberries as my favorite “healthy dessert.”
You know. When there’s fruit… there’s health.
I won’t beat around the bush: all you gotta do is wash and thoroughly dry some plump grapes. How do we feel about the word “plump”? I rather like it. But I think it might evoke the same emotions in some that “moist” does.
Sorry. I’m really into quotation marks today.
Once the grapes are washed and dried, I skewer them – they are easiest to serve this way at parties! – then dip in chocolate (my preference is milk, obviously) and drizzle with white chocolate.
Because it’s pretty!
These are so simple to make for guests – and you can not only make them ahead of time, but you can make TONS of them and just set them out when you’re ready to go.
You should also make a few just for yourself because they are the ideal afternoon snack. Or breakfast. Whatever.
Embarrassingly Easy Chocolate Covered Grape Skewers
Ingredients
- 1 1/5 cups seedless black grapes
- 6 ounces high-quality dark chocolate, melted
- 3 ounces high-quality white chocolate, melted
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- for topping: sprinkles, sea salt,
Instructions
- Wash and dry the grapes thoroughly. Melt the dark and white chocolate, stirring 1/2 tablespoons of coconut oil into each. I like to do this to create a firmer coating.
- Skewer 4 or 5 (or more, whatever!) grapes on bamboo skewers. Dip the grapes into the dark chocolate and use a spoon to pour the chocolate over the grapes, covering them all, and then let the excess run back into the bowl. Place on a sheet of parchment paper to firm up. Once the dark chocolate is firm, drizzle the white chocolate on top. At this time you can cover the chocolate with sprinkles or sea salt or let it be. These stay firm at room temperature, but they taste the best when refrigerated!

Yum! I’m definitely going to try this.
This is such a great idea! They look yummy!! :)
What a fun way to dress up grapes. I can see myself sneaking these in my hubby’s lunch bag for an unexpected afternoon surprise. I’m pretty sure all his coworkers will be jealous.
Try dipping some pineapple in chocolate. I prefer that to grapes or apples. I’m not sure it will keep tho, I always dip & eat it at the same time. :)
I have to admit: I haven’t tried dipping grapes in chocolate–yet! And drizzling white chocolate on top is one of the most important (and prettiest) steps; can’t skip it! :)
I think all recipes should be required to start with the phrase “ridiculously easy”! As much as I love to spend a relaxing day in the kitchen, usually I’m hungry and want food immediately. These sound incredible! I bet they would be great with frozen grapes too. These would make an adorable addition to a NYE party and you could add sprinkles to make them more festive!
I agree with Lauren – the easier the better, sista! Besides, we have diapers to change right? ;) xoxo Hope you and baby are doing well!!
I love recipes that hardly count as recipes! Plus, I would have never thought of dipping grapes in chocolate. I know a two-year old who will lose her mind over these. xxoo
I have no idea why I never thought to do this before, but it is SUCH A GOOD IDEA!
This looks like such a fun easy idea!
Oh my, it looks amazingly delicious! Maybe because I’m a choc-addict …

Once upon a time, my sister-in-law-to-be dipped grapes in melted chocolate that was mixed with peanut butter. It was like PB&J candy. Except with fruit. So… healthy, right?? I love the idea of putting them on a stick! But for real, add peanut butter.
Trust me.
YUM! I love anything that’s easy to make for parties, or snacks for me!
What a great idea! I now know what I’ll be bringing to a lunch on Thursday.
I love embarrassingly easy posts, especially when they’re so delicious…I’m thinking about all those grapes your supposed to eat for good luck on New Year’s? Yeah…I’ll take mine with chocolate!
