Tuesday Things.
1. How are these vegan cookie dough fudgesicles real? They must appear in my life ASAP.
2. So Eddie still uses his old Blackberry as an alarm clock (don’t ask) and the other day I picked it up and attempted to use it. Uh, it looked foreign. And I had a Blackberry for years. HOW?! I couldn’t figure out how to do one single thing, including find the alarm.
3. Daylight savings time has always been, like, the best day ever in my mind since it is so much lighter outside… but these last two days I’ve been DEAD. So exhausted. Is it a mom thing?
4. This is why Tom Hanks is everything.
5. What the HECK was going on with GIRLS this week? Shoshanna was insane per usual. Didn’t Hannah’s mom sound exactly like her at the beginning? Like they had her say some of Hannah’s favorite things? Was the end of Nashville some of the worst acting you’ve ever seen? For me, yes. I was also disappointed in that episode. The only episode I really loved this week was the Walking Dead and it’s because Carol is insane. God I love her.
6. We finally finished House of Cards! I was… still underwhelmed. It did get a little better towards the end but nothing like the last two seasons. Is this a thing? Most series just jump the shark on season three?
7. When 30 degrees is a heat wave and iced coffee is a must.
8. Literal perfection for 90s girls. So much yes.
9. All I want to eat right now is the 90s old school party mix with cheetos and pretzels and corn chips. I hate myself.
10. What are you reading now? I’m losing the book battle.
11. No idea how I now have a three month old, but what I’m learning in non-mom speak is that this really just translates to it-takes-41-times-as-long-to-do-something – anything – as it did before.

Ha. Glad I’m not alone – I’ve been in a complete haze ever since the time changed! It is much nicer not waking up to complete darkness :) Oh and I crave those chips once in a while too. They’re so bad, they’re good!
uh, its the opposite here in Boston..It WAS lighter in the morning but then we moved an hour ahead, so, its dark when I get up at 545am (which was really 445am). I know in a few weeks it will be lighter early again.
I am so happy its still day light out on my ride home from work-sunglasses needed, YES!
OMG the 19 Images That Are Literally Perfection To ’90s Girls — I DIE!! I LOVED LOVED LOVED those natural lip blams — and obviously home made mixed tapes were the only way of life — omg and the folded letters … YES!
Baby sitters club books — YEEEEAAA … I totally wanted to be stacy when i grew up!
Look at the cookies………..
i just read “station eleven” in 3 days and loooooved it.
i feel similarly re: house of cards. loved bev’s argument on one more season and done though.
I second Station Eleven. I also just finished Alan Cumming’s memoir, and it was fantastic.
SO underwhelmed with House of Cards… but I read this awesome article about the colors used in the show (http://blogs.indiewire.com/criticwire/the-two-color-conspiracy-in-house-of-cards-20150302)!
And I’m currently reading All the Light We Cannot See – very good!!

I read “Just Alice” over the weekend. Heartbreaking, yet uplifting and definitely makes you grateful for what you have!
Have you seen the new VH1 Original Series Hindsight? All the 90’s nostalgia! I die!

“When 30 degrees is a heat wave and iced coffee is a must.”
This! yes. totally iced coffee season.
Have you read The Girl on the Train yet? I got it last week and finished it in three days. Also, All the Light We Cannot See is a favorite recent read of mine.
Currently reading “All the Light we Cannot See” and it is blowing my mind. I love it!!
All The Light We Cannot See and The Boys In The Boat! (Station Eleven is next on my list after I’m done with Boys, which will be shortly as it’s SO good!)
If you haven’t read “The Girl on the Train” yet, then you need to! I finished it a few weeks ago, so good. :) Since you like the Gillian Flynn novels, I think you would like this too.
it was 42 degrees (i hadnt looked at the temp yet) and i was like ITS SO SPRINGY AND WARM.. but it was only 42, but i’ll take it, happily.
Ive been struggling since this time change too! Especially since all I wanna do is stay up late and enjoy the sunshine as looonng as possible. Oh well, yay for spring!! :)
I just read The Pioneer Woman’s book (finally!) and Francine Rivers’ “Bridge to Haven.”
I just got really hungry for Bugles. Do they still make those so I can stick them on my fingers and act like an alien?…
And good books -> The Girl on the Train, Orphan Train,…Apparently all books with trains. But seriously, SO GOOD.
Just started reading “Ask Alice”, it’s amazing so far! It’s a maxi skirt & iced coffee kind of day in Montana! 60+ degrees? Spring has sprung in the west! (knock on wood) :)
I’m almost done reading The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey. I’d recommend that!
I’m about to finish reading The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey. I’d recommend it!
I am a long time reader and major lover of your blog! I just wanted to tell you that your baby posts have now pushed my hubby and I into baby-making mode!
Also if you need a book to read I don’t know if you have already read this one but I’m currently reading Shopaholic To The Stars by Sophie Kinsella even though I was seriously disappointed by her last couple books and even those under the name Madeline Wickham…the shopaholic series will always have a special place in my heart!
Still trying to plow our way through HOC. But with a 14 week old, it’s so dang challenging! Don’t even mention Nashville! I’m yeah, about that it takes forever to get out the door. Diaper bag, toys, distractions, extras of EVERYTHING because I’m certain there will be a blowout at some point.
Yes, DLS kicked my ass. It was harder yesterday than today. I think it’s being a mom bc if it was only me, I’d take a nap or sleep in. Or even go to bed early. What is that like??
Ooh, let’s talk about books!!
I love, love, LOVE to read (and am kinda freaking out about how little time I’m going to have to read while enrolled in school next year… yikes) and have actually been working through a 2015 ‘book bucket list’. So… I don’t know if you’ve read any of these yet, but PLEASE DO!
I just finished… The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen. This story was so sweet…I adore all of her books.
Also, Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell is perfection.
Sarah’s Key is a lovely read that always makes me cry. It’s such a touching novel.
If I Stay & Where She Went. Well, actually, pretty much ANYTHING by Gayle Forman. Just One Day and I Was Here are spectacular.
A Three Dog Life by Abigail Thomas is also SO GOOD.
And… I’ll stop now ’cause I’m starting to ramble.
xx
Ummm, #9 is me everyday!

Daylight Savings is my husband’s favorite day of the year. The excitement and joy it brings him is like a little kid on Christmas. He is in funk for a long time when it ends.
Hmmm.. I thought about starting a binge marathon on Netflix this weekend & I was going to do it with House Of Cards, now I’m not so sure. Hah! I can not wait for spring to get here, it was 60* today & I wanted to run around almost naked. I hope you’ve had a great day!
I’m currently reading It was me all along. But I don’t remember who it is by. I will find out. And is house of cards really dying? Should I not watch it?
Building The Confidence
Also I forgot about daylight savings, and I didn’t understand why I was so tired (my phone changes automatically), until someone at work told me and I was so upset >.<
The Girl On The Train is so good. But my most favorite read lately is Yes, Please by Amy Poehler. I was already such a huge fan of hers but now I’m kind of in love with her. Highly recommend.
It takes me a whole week to to get used to daylight saving time. A week. Let’s hope I don’t screw something important up.
Yes, what was up with Girls this week? I am an avid watcher but between Shoshanna grooming herself and the piercing scene…it was a bit over the top this week.
Cookie dough fudgesicles!!!! Aghhh! Also, how in the world has it already been THREE months?!
A a mom, daylight savings is the worst in the fall when your kid wakes up an hour earlier for weeks. Ugh! But they’re still so cute!
Alright…. that iced coffee at the top of the page made me drool!
And I love Tom Hanks in that video…it’s kinda weird that JB is in it too though….

I’m reading The Girl on the Train and love it! And that kids=time thing doesn’t change. We sit in the car for 5 minutes waiting on my independent boy to buckle himself in. He’s 5. But it’s worth it.
Hi Jessica! Don’t know if you’re into the author Jodi Picoult, but I just finished a phenomenal one by her called “Vanishing Acts.” That’s my recommended reading in regard to #10 from today’s post. You should do it!!
The girl on a Train was pretty good!
I have never felt the time change, but this time, man oh man. Maybe it is because tomorrow is my 7th day straight working, starting at 4am, maybe…
And, I live near Chicago and iced coffee is a must EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR! LOL
I just finished re-reading To Kill a Mockingbird since the sequel is coming out this summer. And just started The Brightest Star in the Sky by Marian Keyes for my book club. Getting to read as much as I want – one reason I’m happy I never had kids.
(*losing–sorry, I had to!) Right now, I am reading Oogy: The Dog Only a Family Could Love. Total sobfest. I also just finished Gone Girl, but I wasn’t as thrilled with it as everyone else seemed to be.
I’m reading Z A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald. It’s sort of beautiful and sort of depressing. I don’t feel like my time is wasted, but I wouldn’t read it again. I’d rather read something by Jhumpa Lahiri.
