Chocolate Peanut Butter PEEPS Skillet S’mores! {VIDEO}
Let’s see. Peeps s’mores! OMG.
How can I manipulate you to into throwing your Easter candy in a skillet with chocolate chips and convincing your friends that it’s dessert? Pull up a seat and grab a graham cracker.
Maybe because it takes less than ten minutes?
Because chocolate peanut butter… anything?
Because I really was going to tell you about an insaaaaaane deviled egg today and pushed it back so you could learn about peeps s’mores?
(p.s. be sure to come back tomorrow for a fancy ass deviled egg.)
How to make Skillet Peeps S’mores:
This might be the most trashed up thing I’ve ever done here. Ever.
But! It’s so easy.
It’s so delicious and rich and simple.
And so PRETTY. It’s so neon. Like an 80s or 90s s’more explosion.
Can this skillet wear legwarmers?
Apparently skillet s’mores were a big thing in 2014. I never did it. Never road that train. Didn’t jump on that bandwagon. Never climbed that mountain.
I was MISSING OUT.
So were you. After all, who doesn’t want peeps s’mores in a skillet?!
Here’s the thing. We were never a peeps family when I was growing up.
None of us liked peeps.
We never found peeps in our Easter baskets.
In fact, I actually loathed peeps.
Not all the sparkly sugared hot pink and purple bunnies or chicks in the world could change my mind.
(Though I’m pretty sure that back in the day, peeps only came in yellow.)
However, I think at one point my youngest brother decided that HE liked peeps, so peeps were very slowly introduced in our household.
Then, I learned.
I learned that…
PEEPS were MARSHMALLOWS.
I mean, yeah, of course I knew that they were marshmallows, or at least, like, marshmallow-y, but I didn’t realize that they were actually… marshmallows.
First of all, I know that it sounds utterly ridiculous. Crazy too.
But it wasn’t until that realization that I started to enjoy peeps as how they should be eaten: in marshmallow-y things.
I don’t love marshmallows on their own (with the exception of homemade ones) but I obviously love them in s’mores, brownies, cookies, s’mores, cake, frosting and s’mores.
Do you think I love s’mores?
I kind of love s’mores. Besides my insane infatuation with s’mores.
So while you’ll never find me eating a peep in it’s, uh, purest form, you probably can find me shoving it between two graham crackers with a few bars of chocolate and a big slather of peanut butter.
Because, you know, this also means that you can have NEON s’mores.
I KNOW.
Hot pink s’mores. Purple s’mores. Blueish-greenish s’mores. Have you ever seen a more fun, more electric s’more?
I’m going to let you in on a secret. Err, not a secret. Just a note. Or something. The peanut butter that I used…?
Are you ready for this?
White chocolate coconut. White chocolate coconut peanut butter. You can obviously use whatever peanut butter you want. Let’s just say that white chocolate peanut butter + chocolate + peeps + s’mores is my own personal heaven. Well, that and maybe Zack Morris or Pacey Witter.
Feeding me the peeps s’mores. Isn’t that everyone’s heaven?
Finally.
Peeps S’mores
Chocolate Peanut Butter PEEPS Skillet S'mores
Ingredients
- 3 cups chocolate chips, I use a dark and milk mix
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 packages of PEEPS marshmallows, obviously more if you want all the colors
- graham crackers for serving
Instructions
- Place the chocolate chips in a 9-inch oven-safe skillet in an even layer. Drop spoonfuls of the peanut butter on top of the chocolate chips. Cover with an layer of peeps – you can stuff them in there! You’ll need around 25 peeps.
- Heat the broiler on your oven to HIGH. Place the skillet underneath for 1 to 2 minutes, just until the marshmallows get golden and the chocolate chips are melting. Watch the skillet the entire time. If you find that the chocolate isn’t melted easily, turn the oven to 350 degrees F and let the skillet sit in there for a few minutes so it all melts. Serve immediately – carefully since it’s hot! – with graham crackers for dipping. OMG.

This is just too damn fun! Love it!
I never jumped on the skillet s’mores bandwagon in 2014, either, but this, THIS is amazing! It’s totally acceptable to eat the whole skillet by myself first–to make sure it’s good, before making another batch to share, right? ;)
You didn’t like peeps? Not even popping them in the microwave? This “trashed” out dessert (your words there, hehe) looks like a great way to deal with my stress for packing for my trip. That is, if playing students in Can Jam doesn’t help. And what man doesn’t love peanut butter?
Jessica – This. Is. Amazing. I love the festive colors of peeps and know this would be a fan favorite. Peeps s’mores is a brilliant idea. :)
I am still not really into peeps, but this skillet is SO pretty and SO cute, that I could be convinced to try it. I am snobby about marshmallows. Only really like homemade (same with whipped cream). The cuteness of this really might change my mind. Also, s’mores made with a Reese’s PB cup are the BEST. I’m sure you’ve tried it, but if not, DO IT.
Oh nice idea about the PB cups! Yum!
i was thinking of peanut butter chips, but peanut butter cups is an awesome idea
Oh my gosh- this looks amazing! Who knew s’mores could be so stinkin adorable?
I’ll take this neon skillet + my middle school starter jacket + a boy band playlist. Everything I love about the 90s, with the addition of PB and chocolate s’mores!
This looks so yummy. Peeps gross me out and always have but when dipped with so much chocolate they are very tempting. My husband loves them on the other hand and he has be killing them nightly this week with s’mores for dessert.
YES. I hated peeps as a kid to- and they always seemed to be super stale when I opened them? But peeps as smores? Now this could be fun.
OMG YESSSS — from the time you put this on instagram I was drooling …. also you said fancy ass — HAHAHAHAAHA I almost died! I’ll def. be back for the fancy ass deviled eggs!
Oh God I can’t even deal with how amazing this looks. Can you break the internet with melted chocolate and marshmallows? Probably.
I just love the way this looks – everything you make is so visually enchanting (which you even manage with peeps!). : ) Now this is one way I can get behind peeps. You really do the Target seasonal aisle proud. PS – your little guy is so adorable!
omgJessica!!!! Crazy stunning recipe!!!
Ohh myyyyy…that looks amazing! I don’t overly like peeps but toasted with chocolate I think I can get behind them!
Can you divulge the brand of white chocolate coconut peanut butter you purchased? I have never heard of such a thing. :)
You know what’s funny? I never liked Peeps, but they were always in my Easter basket because my sister loved them. So I’d eat one or two out of the package and leave the rest until they turned into rocks and then I’d throw them away. Then one year, they came out with chocolate-dipped Peeps and those are the only ones I’ve ever actually enjoyed. I’ll eat a whole package of chocolate-dipped peeps, although I always wondered why the entire thing wasn’t covered in chocolate. I mean… really.
You’ve gone ahead taken Peeps to the next level, and for that… I thank you.
Now I know what to do with my unwanted Easter Peeps. (And potentially Christmas Peeps – did you know they make gingerbread men??)
Yeah, I don’t like peeps either. But outside of the fact that they look like a rainbow of tanned little bunnies with their faces buried in milk chocolate peanut butter goodness, i now have a way to get rid of the peeps that go into my kids baskets!
Tell me you found the peanut butter at Target or somewhere it doesn’t have to be ordered..definitely want to try that stuff…
I have no words. Just that skillet + me +a spoon = heaven.
These are to dye for! I love PEEPS, but I too was not one to love them as a kid. I personally prefer them when they start to dry out some, you know on the stale side, with a little chewieness. Best way to eat them! Now, I am obsessed with this and will be making it once Lent is over and i can eat dessert!
brb off to buy a skillet. This. Is. Everything. Though I admittedly will happily eat Peeps with our without chocolate and peanut butter, toasted or not. Out of all the Easter candies available, Peeps are my #1 <3
Sharing this for sure! Looks adorable and delicious!
You are a genius. And I HATED peeps too, but have never eaten them in an actual marshmallow-y dessert form, just on their own (i.e. not good).
Wow such a colorful dessert! Love those peeps!
Totally get what you’re saying about not really realizing that peeps are marshmallows! I was convinced that I was a peep hater up until a year ago (even though I’ve been obsessed with marshmallows forever). Then the lightbulb went off and I realized that peeps were just cute marshmallows and deserved a second chance.
Looks delicious! I typically don’t eat Peeps in their purest from unless they are totally stale. Stale Peeps are phenomenal. Don’t judge. it’s a legit thing.
TOTALLY get this.
Me, too. Open the package and leave them to dry out. Way better.
I am right with you in really not loving or liking Peeps. But I would so get down with this!
This is amazing.
Seriously you rule.
uhomgYES.
These are pure brilliance. I actually love peeps! They are my favorite Easter candy. This just takes them to the next level.

Dang. This is pure genius!
April Fools?
I also hated peeps when I was a kid. But I am up for anything smores. Especially if it looks like the 80s and 90s exploded into one dessert :)
Is this real life?! I don’t even like Peeps but I totally want to stuff my face with this!
Looks amazing! My seven year old is drooling right now lol
So much yumminess! The chocolate, peanut butter, Peeps…I don’t know which part is my favorite, but I know I’m going to love this dessert! Making this for Easter dinner!
this is SO trashy and I am loving every second :)
I saw the first picture, and thought… no… she didn’t… but you most certainly did! Never heard of the peeps skillet till today. Still processing!! Would this be considered vegetarian? Ha, ha
Ummmmm whaaaaa. My 12-year old self would have gone INSANE for this, just as my pushing 30 self is also going insane for it. Holy peeps!
Just give me a huge spoon and the entire pan, this is perfection.
OH. MY. GAWD. (that’s my Janice from Friends impression, BTW)
This is insane. Amazing/Delicious/COLORFUL/Insane.
I need this in my life.
Why did this not exist before now??!
Love.
Oh my god this is total easter heaven!
“Chocolate peanut butter anything” that alone was enough to sell this recipe. Then you threw in all the added craziness with peeps and a skillet. Love this! Now I know what to make for my 80’s themed Easter party ;) Perfect!
