Tuesday Things.
1. All I want right now is avocado bread. Avocado BREAD!! Can I use it for avocado french toast?! Ummm yes.
2. I bit the bullet after all of your recommendations last week and bought a coloring book. Has it made it out of the bag which remains in the back of my car? No. And now I’m having a second thoughts on even finding time to color. I think I might hate myself if I put “color in your book” in my planner. Why is a destresser stressing me out?
3. Speaking of planners, I ordered my new day designer last week and stand by this planner as being the BEST for entreprenuers and everyday organization with a hint of inspiration. Even in my weirdest months with Max (read: no predictable schedule, etc) I found this super helpful.
4. Um, I need 5 ways to cure chronic procrastination. First step: lose the coloring book?
5. It’s the MOST wonderful time of the year… all the new TV shows are back! I’m super excited for Nashville, Empire, Scandal, etc – but most of all The Affair and Homeland and stuff like that. Fear the Walking Dead is totally not for me but I can’t wait until REAL Walking Dead starts.
6. 16 things positive people do everyday. I’m gonna print it.
7. What are you super excited about for fall fashion? I want to buy all the things right now and want everything bordeaux colored (yeah yeah I’m always a year behind) and teal. And purple. And BOOTS. And scarves. May have already bought two.
8. And on that note, WHAT are you doing to send off summer? Because even though you probably did something over Labor Day, you gotta do at least one little thing, right? I think I have to do more happy hour margaritas tonight because they just taste like summer. Until next week. When I add apple cider. (obviously.)

I can’t get into the colouring book thing either – they’re gorgeous – and look like fun … but I’d rather be doing something else.
Also I’M SOO PUMPED that the fall lineup is back in action — Blacklist – YES , Scandal – YES, Big Bang Theory – YES, How to get away with Murder, YEEEESSSS – Empire, HEEECCK YEEESSS. looking at that list, probably also proves why I have no time for the colouring books.
And the fall fashion – I DIE! Please give me all the warm colours and cuddly scarves, and caaauute booties.
I’d just like to say that I have a massive Barbie coloring book that I got at the Crayola Factory/Activity Center and I colored at Starbucks a few weeks ago. I just kept thinking “I bet everyone is so jealous of me right now” instead of thinking “how childish do I look.” It was amazing. Don’t regret it, do it. I also am giving the picture I colored to my mom for her fridge. I’m 25. :)
I bought some really cute bevcooks-like shoes (yes, I just used her as an adjective) and am STOKED to wear them with everything this fall. (Also, I’m sorry Bev if you see this and hate these shoes) http://www.forever21.com/Product/Product.aspx?BR=f21&Category=shoes_flats&ProductID=2000173529&VariantID=
Step 1: Take book out of the car
Step 2: Put coloring book and coloring equipment (pencils/markers) in conspicuous place in your home – coffee table, counter top, night stand…
Step 3: When you’re not with Max and/or cooking, take a break and pop that baby open! Or if Max is content and you’re sitting catching your breath – get at it!
I used to color in college to destress around tests and finals time and it was fantastic. i want to get one myself. So even if you take 5 minutes a day, i fully believe you will feel better! :) Dont stress over the destressing.
I love this time of year with new shows and I’m so ready for them all.
So, I know you don’t craft and I feel like the coloring book could fall into that category for you, I used mine as cards for people. Sometimes colored in and sometimes not depending on my mood. This went over really well ast the last baby shower I went to and my card was a coloring page for mom.
And fall clothes teal and purple are all I have bought and I can’t wait to wear them all.
One last beach trip happening to try to cherish all things summer for one last weekend.
I so want a frozen margarita right now, trying to head to the pool this week as a last hooray end of summer. That avocado bread recipe looks amazing. I’m very excited for all the tv shows, cannot wait for the return of the REAL walking dead, Empire, Nashville, obsessed again with Dancing with the Stars. finally saw Penny and Leonard tie the knot last night and looking forward to Scream Queens tonight. So much good tv, soo little time and I still need to catch up on Real Housewives OC.
I’m really into mustard this Autumn, I got a mustard coloured cardigan and I am wearing it with everything because it makes any outfit look more autumnal. I can’t wait for boots and long socks weather, which given I live in Scotland will probably be next week!
I’m still on the fence about if I want a coloring book or not too and if I would ever use it. I am working three different jobs now (all part time) and decided I needed a fancy planner. How many things have I written in it since the jobs started? Zero. I’m just not a planner person I guess?
Ahhhhh … I can’t decide on making the jump to the Day Designer! I’ve had an Erin Condren life planner for 3 years now… and everytime you talk about the Day Designer i think, maybe next year? Is 2016 the year?! eek!
Also, I just got these booties and i’m in love with them. So soft, so comfy, go with everything! http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/lucky-brand-womens-ehllen-booties?ID=1651410&pla_country=US&CAGPSPN=pla&CAWELAID=120156340000781192&catargetid=120156340000919974&cadevice=c&cm_mmc=Google_Womens_Shoes_Adchemy_PLA_PLA-_-Womens+Shoes_Boots+-+GS_Lucky+Brand-_-68944865350_-_-_mkwid_Gct4ebt0|dc_68944865350%7C-%7CGct4ebt0
which day designer cover did you pick? i can’t decideeeeeeee.

I have the same Paris coloring book (I also have Unicorns are Jerks, and a few others…) but back to Paris. why do I think the first page you will color will be the perfume bottles? :)
it is relaxing, in a weirdly structured way.
I have already bought a really cute pair of lace up boots that I can’t wait to wear. I also finally broke down and bought a day designer too. I hope I like it. I’ve been using their free printables in a binder but it’s too big to carry around. I almost backed out because the shipping is ridiculous but decided my husband was buying it for me for Christmas so that made me feel better.
I’m sad that summer is leaving us. I’ll miss the beach but not the humidity. And I do like fall.
Wow they look amazing and so yummy!

I heart these posts so much. I mean, I love the recipes and your book and Max updates…but Tuesday Things are my MYYY JAAAAMMM. So, coloring books…tough call. I bought one as well and didn’t color ONE PAGE. I ended up giving it to a friend who seriously loves to color and has time/patience to stay in those teeny lines. But coloring book POSTCARDS are where it’s at – I found The Secret Garden postcard ones at my Barnes & Noble. It’s a fun way to “create” a cute thank you or hello card for someone and makes coloring feel less…wasteful to me? I guess? I feel like I’m getting the benefits of coloring (relaxation!) but not being a total time waster.
OK, and ALL THINGS FALL! I am ready for everything too! Let me preface this by saying I love your work and would likely adore you in real life (I seriously missed your book signing in Seattle BY A DAY…waaaah.) but it kind of sort of maybe seems like you have a ton of scarves already? And maybe clothes? But then you feel like it’s too much stuff and yet you have nothing to wear? Eh? I might be projecting here because who knows, maybe you do regular Goodwill and consignment shop runs all the time, and I don’t know! However, if you are curious about maybe selling your gently used awesome clothes and accessories, you might want to explore Poshmark. It’s like eBay but WAY EASIER and on your phone. Or not! I’m crazy! It’s just that my morning routine consists of looking at pages and pages of Instagram-worthy styles and clothes on Poshmark…then reading your latest post here…and I always think, “Gosh she would probably love to posh!” or “Man I bet she would love to see this crazy limited edition Rebecca Minkoff MAC Daddy purse!” or whatever. Also, I just love your style and would love to see your online closet.
OK I AM DONE! BYE FOR NOW! TUESDAY THINGS FALL THINGS EVERYTHING!!
I have that same exact coloring book! Coloring is so calming!
And that avocado bread? Genius!
Ok seriously, take the coloring book OUT of the car! And just sit down, start coloring a page. Doesn’t matter how long you sit there, just start. You need to break the seal ;)
I hate coloring. And I don’t get how it’s a trend. But whatever. My thoughts is if you already find just the idea of coloring to be stressful. Don’t bother. Find a destressor that works for you. And return the coloring book and use the money on a nice cup of coffee, yoga class, or something you’d rather enjoy. Or gift the coloring book to someone.
Have you heard the new Ryan Adams “1989” cover album of T-Swift? I personally am in L.O.V.E. with the new dreamy take, but would love to hear what you think- it is definitely not a cleaning the house, jamming in the car album like Tay’s but more like a grading papers, get work done, light some pumpkin pie candles kind of jam.
I need more positive reminders in my life. The list is great! Yes, to printing it off.

I love Fall!!! We’ve actually had two solid days of Fall like weather, but will have mid-90’s temps this weekend. Noooooooo! I want to wear all of the scarves and booties!!!! Ompf, Nashville has been so boring!
Wow this looks delicious, I just love them !Â
