Weekend Snapshots.
we took the quickest trip ever this weekend to rochester, new york for a family wedding, and aside from the wonderful reason we were there, highlights included a lunch at dinosaur BBQ (um, eddie went TWICE. what?!) and my first wegman’s experience. hello, can i live inside?
what did you do this weekend? tell me all about it! it’s going to be 70 (SEVENTY!!!) degrees here this coming week, so i’m already in the best mood ever and plan on spending half of every day outside. yesssss. xoxo

We consider ourselves lucky to live in Rochester so we can go to Wham whenever we want! ? Come back soon!
Yeah, that should have said Wegmans!
I grew up in that vicinity, love seeing your photos!
What a delicious weekend! Gotta love those Doubletree cookies. I stayed at a Doubletree when I was nine months pregnant and I used it to my advantage to get extra cookies. Because, you know, the baby needed them :)
It looks like you had a super awesome weekend! I love seeing tidbits of your real life!
I saw that you guys went to Wegmans (Eddie’s snapchat) and was so excited to hear about it!! I grew up near Rochester and love Weggies
. I’m curious where you got your lattes? I had found some great coffee shops that last time I went and I’ll be going back soon.
they were just from the hotel!! we stayed at the strathallan.
Wegman’s is truly magical. Gah, that little nugget hand on that cookie is too adorable. Glad you all had a great weekend!
First Wegman’s trip?? Â Jess. OMG. It’s better than Disney World.
I live in Rochester! And yes, Wegmans is AMAZING. I grew up here, moved away for college, grad school, and a number of years later. My husband (also from here) and I moved back a year and a half ago and while there are lots of things we miss about bigger cities, Wegmans is something we honestly treasure! LOL :-)
hey girl love the post! We had a great weekend! The weather was really nice! Â
Welcome to Rochester! Â I’ve lived here for all of my 38 years, and love it! Â Minus the snow, of course. Â Glad that you enjoyed your weekend. Â Isn’t Wegmans amazing? Â Hopefully you made it to the one in Pittsford, that’s the most foodie/gourmet one in our area. Â Next time you’re here, try Sticky Lips for barbecue! Â I may get some hate mail for this, but I like it MUCH better than Dinosaur…
Good Smoke BBQ in East Rochester is MUCH better than both Dino or Sticky Lips. You won’t go back to either place once you’ve tried it. I highly suggest it.
Wow thanks Danielle! Â I’ve never heard of it, but will definitely check it out!
I live near Cleveland and the closest Wegman’s is in Chautauqua, NY, and when we go it’s a full day trip – but well worth it. Â Â I can’t decided if having one closer when be a good thing or a bad thing…. Â Â Â
And your black bag pictured, would you share the details, please – I love it! Â Â
I’m a Rochesterian too & love that my weekly routine is wegmans!
and if your hubs loved dinosaur, next time you’ll have to hit sticky lips. as my husband says, dinosaur has better sides, but sticky lips has better bbq.Â

Absolutely adore Wegman’s!! Giant Eagle really needs to take serious notes on how amazing a grocery store can be!
Looks like a fun weekend!!

Omg!! WEGMAN’S, miss it so much!! My sil lives 5 mins away from one in PA and we used to visit her on the weekends from NYC and don’t tell anybody, but that was my motivation and the Real reason I wanted to go. I sound horrible, but we did created fun memories with the nephews getting them a gigantic pizza and ice cream from wegman’s and watching netflix afterwards on saturday nights and on sunday night before leaving, i would buy groceries and drive them back an hour an a half back home.
Your FIRST Wegman’s experience? No way! Isn’t it amazing??? There is nothing quite like it. The bakery is unreal. Sadly, we don’t have them in Florida, which kills me, but I love when I go to visit my family in Erie, PA!!! I stock up. I usually stock up on everything that is bad for me, so it’s kinda good that we don’t have one here. But dang, I love that place!
DONUTS! Swoon.
The struggle was so real when I realized that my favorite food blogger was in my hometown, about ten minutes away, all weekend! I thought I recognized the dinosaur bbq plates when I went through your pix! So glad you got to see Wegmans–it really is a food lover’s paradise!
I love that you went to both Dino BBQ and Wegmans! I adore Wegmans and have a hard time living without it after growing up with it until I left for college and then some 13 years ago.
Don’t listen to them Jess! Dinsosaur BBQ is definitely the best in the ROC. Next time go to Java’s for coffee and The Revelry for cocktails or dinner or both. Sooo good.Â
Your trip looks amazing (although I had hoped that BBQ was from Pittsburgh because it looks so good!)
There is a Wegman’s in State College, so it was my grocery store of choice when I was going to Penn State. Giant Eagle is not a good substitute at all.
i am inappropriately excited that you got to experience Wegmans. I live down the street from one and it is my favorite place!Â
Fellow Rochesterian, and I just figured Dinosaur expanded to Philly! Â My biggest question is where did you get the donuts? Â I could actually get those.Â
wegmans!!Â
Thank you! Next time you’re in #ROC, stop at Donuts Delite or Ridge Donut (my favorite). Also amazing, and although I may be crucified, they are better than Wegmans donuts.Â
Loving these snaps, and so inspired by your trip! Now I’m wanting to plan a fun trip for myself :)
Question: Where did you find those glazed croissants? They look incredible! YUM.
