Tuesday Things.
1. If you follow me on instagram then you know that this was my trying-my-hardest-not-to-eat-my-moms-strawberry-pretzel-jello Monday afternoon snack attack. I’m obsessed. Dark chocolate + coconut oil, dipped kiwis and flaked coconut.
2. Going totally crazy over these overnight oats. That GIF is so enticing!
3. Inquiring minds need to know: do you prefer having Friday off? Or Monday off? I’m a very big Friday-off person. The new week always starts on Monday for me, no matter what.
4. I really wonder if someday I’ll be 62 and still loving neon and unicorns. I try to stop but then… I just love that bright, glittery junk. I AM WHO I AM.
5. TV things I’m currently watching: Grey’s (and OMG did you see the hinted preview for this coming week? The Mere-Alex storyline was NOT in my head, even if it’s just a stupid tease), The Catch and Nashville. Only one I’m really loving is The Catch even if it makes me want to binge on Parenthood again. I’m embarrassingly looking forward to Mistresses which I will DVR and watch in humiliation at midnight while editing photos and eating m&ms.
6. I have the new Justin Timberlake song on repeat and NO it’s not because it’s from the Trolls movie. I love him so much.
7. Bath and Body Works bringing back their throwback scents again- what scent was your childhood? I was all about Country Apple and Cucumber Melon. I can even still smell their alcoholy-scented sprays. After that though I REALLY grew up and moved on to Amber Romance and Lovespell from Victoria’s Secret, which is what I wore all through high school. Sometimes I still walk in there and smell the lotions to get my own mental throwback.
8. Underrated Trader Joe’s favorites… the only one I’ve tried is the greek froyo and Eddie and I used to cover it in fruit. Maybe I should buy it again for smoothies?

I’m a Monday off kinda girl. I feel like everyone is in a good mood on Friday, so it’s not really that bad, but people are grumpy on Mondays!Â
highly recommend the handmade flour tortillas from trader joe’s- they’re tender as is, but they also crisp up veryyyy nicely. i love them in quesadillas and fajitas!
Trader Joe’s Hold the Cone — so good!
OMG those kiwis–you eat the peel?? My mom does that but I haven’t been able to bring myself to try it yet.
I have been sick for the past few days and started watching Parenthood–now I’m hopelessly addicted. If The Catch is half as good I’ll love it, too.
I take Fridays “off” from my day job but do a lot of blogging work then. For a true day off I think Friday is best, but I wish I had Mondays instead for blogging–no one is online on Friday but everyone is all over the blogosphere on Monday. It’s so nice to have a business day off to get stuff done but I think Monday is better than Friday for that, too, because more and more people are starting to take Fridays off. Like I wanted to see a nutritionist but, like me, he also doesn’t work Fridays, so I can’t see him without missing work…
It’s funny; I used to love Fridays off until I bought a house and lived on my own. By Friday, it’s disgusting and needs cleaned so I found I would spend the entire day cleaning and doing laundry and it would turn into a waste of a day off from work. Now I prefer to take Mondays off because the house is still clean from the weekend and I don’t feel bad going out without doing anything other than making my bed. (I should note that I’m not a slob; my cat just makes a total disaster of litter dust everywhere). Plus Fridays people are in a good mood and it’s casual dress day at work.. people tend to take Fridays off so I get a better spot in the parking lot too!
I’ve been wanting to try the ice cream cones at Joes! For me, must-haves that I rarely see mentioned are the lemon olive oil dressing, moisturizer and face serums, dark chocolate wedges and the sour gummies. And the Belgian chocolate pudding for when I’m really craving sweets.
Fridays off for SURE. And, if you try overnight oats, you NEED to put some lemon zest in it. GAME CHANGER. I promise.
I’ve just completed a grad scheme where I’d get a day at home a week to study and I always took Fridays at home in my jimjams with my books. It always just seemed the best day to extend my weekend kinda. After three and a half years of this I was dreading five day weeks and working Fridays, but it turns out Fridays are great. The atmosphere in the office is so relaxed and happy, most people dress down and leave early, and because it’s so quiet and happy in there I tend to work late on Fridays. If I got study days again I would totally take Mondays off when everybody’s all grumpy and enjoy mellow Fridays in the office!
I’m definitely a Fridays off gal–in fact, I’ve started working from home on Fridays to make my life more pleasant!
I have Fridays off of class right now and I love it! Sooo not prepared to work full-time 5 days a week this summer :P
What even is this chocolate kiwi sorcery?! Talk to me about eating a kiwi peel. This seems gross to me but I can see how the chocolate and coconut could distract one from kiwi peel.Â
My fave part of The Catch is Alice’s eyeliner. So good. Nashville is driving me bonkers. I do not like what they are doing with Maddie, and can Scarlett and Gunnar PLEASE just get back together?Â
Friday’s off & Bath & Body Works Cucumber Melon 4-ever.Â
Oh gurl. Always end early than start late. Friday off > Monday off. Also the mere/Alex storyline has Vern in the works since day 1!!! Shonda likes to roll slow and low with her stuff.
Fridays off for sure. Every weekend should be a 3 day weekend, either fridays or mondays off. Everybody should have the option to make extra hours Mon-Thurs and then have Fridays off or Tues-Fri and have Mondays off. Â Wore LoveSpell from Victoria’s Secret forever, maybe I should get back to it. Do you eat the peel of the kiwis? I have tried, but it makes my tongue itch for real.Â
So the Trader Joe’s sleeper products list was fascinating to me. I’ve only had the mini tacos (chicken) and I go through binges where they’re my go-to lazy dinner with some sour cream and avocado. They remind me of Kid Cuisine tacos lol.
I haven’t tried the tortillas but I love the corn-wheat ones.
My newest favorite TJs item is the sweet onion bacon vinaigrette.
I will always love lisa frank stickers no matter my age! I am almost 38 and still obsessed with my sticker book. ha! and my scent from back in the day was always the fuzzy peach (I think that was what it was called)
From the ones they are bringing back, I loved fressia and sun ripened raspberry. But my absolute favorite was iced pineapple, which may have only been out for a summer, but I got a gift basket of it for my 13 birthday and I loved it so much.
T
hey girl love the list!
I’m all about the Wednesday off; plow through work for 2 days, get a day off, work for another 1.5 (because let’s be honest, there’s never a lot of work being done Friday afternoons) and then 2 days off. The week flies by!Â
Im torn between friday and monday. Â fridays are good but i sorta love a monday off ! Â it makes sunday night super awesome compared to normal. Â plus at work fridays can be an easier day so sometimes being off on those days doesnt get me as much “bang for my buck” in that kind of way. Â
Cucumber Melon…I lived for the stuff when I was in high school/college. But I haven’t been to a Bath and Body in so long that I didn’t even realize they’d quit making it! lol I’m such an old lady these days that I use Dial 7 day moisture for extra dry skin. ;-)
Recently rewatched Parenthood on Netflix. I regret nothing. Bravermans for life!!  (LOVING The  Catch too!)
I have already pre-ordered a unicorn birthday cake for my next birthday – NO regrets! And I have been watching The Catch & loving it. Although nothing will compare to Parenthood, that show constantly delivered all the feels.Â
