Tuesday Things.
1. This is 34: I am insanely excited for citrus season.
2. All I want in life is this tiramisu pie though.
3. My major first world problem of the week is that when I order my eggnog latte, I ask for no whip and they say back to me (rather unkindly), “it doesn’t come with whip!” So then I order it regularly, just an eggnog latte, and don’t mention my no whip preference and IT COMES WITH WHIP. Is the universe out to get me?
4. I am absolutely obsessed with Erin’s amazing gift guide! This is SO cool.
5. Riddle me this: why is it so easy for me to buy Christmas decor, but so difficult to buy everyday home decor? It’s because it’s permanent, right?
6. Thoughts on The Affair this week? I hate that they’ve brought someone else into the picture for the episodes – I just want my classic 4! Also I’m convinced that Noah did it to himself. Annnnd thoughts on the Walking Dead? Who is worse… Negan or Denny Duquette?
7. Is my brain really underwhelmed?! It feels constantly overwhelmed!
8. One of my best memories is driving around and looking at Christmas lights as a kid. Do people still do that? We’re totally doing it with Max this year (even though he can barely see lights from the back of his car seat!) and I can’t wait.
9. Last night I had a dream that I waxed off one of my eyebrows. What does it mean? Is it like when you dream that your teeth are falling out? I googled it and the results are not pleasant.

Where did you get an eggnog latte?! I went to both Dunkin and Sbucks and both said they didnt have them. I was super bummed until i got the chili mocha which was delicious.
starbucks!!! really?! they should def have them!
Omg, I dreamed I cut my own tongue off last night – at least eyebrows grow back ?
i used to love driving around to see all the lights! my mom is the planning, researching type (which got passed down to me oops) so she’d find the best ones online, and the ones with music set to them are ridiculously amazing.
This is 32: after going out for my husbands birthday dinner, we drive around trying to find good Christmas light displays. So far, we like ours the best, haha!
Also, I’ve had the teeth falling out or crumbling dream more than once and it’s absolutely terrifying!
Thank you! Glad to know I wasn’t the only one annoyed by Juliette’s back story time. A good 30 minutes was wasted on her when I could’ve been watching Pacey..uh, Cole. ?
I literally just had that thought for the first time – it is SO much easier to buy Christmas decor and then the rest of the year, my house looks so unfinished! Seasonal decor for the win…
I totally had a dream last night that my car was stolen & that all my wedding stuff was in it! What the heck!?
That tiramisu pie, oh my gosh!
We still drive around and look at Christmas lights every single year! At least once! It’s a family tradition. We used to do it in my Grandpa’s station wagon. Now we all pile into my brother’s Xterra, but same idea. ;) You must!
Yes to driving around to look at lights! That was a serious highlight of my childhood. We are going to do it with Kieran this year too. He’s already super obsessed with the lights around our neighborhood.
I cannot ever eat enough oranges. And blood oranges are even better, even though they have seeds.
Underwhelmed–interesting! Since I started blogging, I have been paying more attention to all the gorgeousness around me here in the south of France–it’s true I had gotten a bit blasé after a decade–and now that I stop to take a picture, I really have to pinch myself about how awesome it is.Â
Many years ago, we were in the U.S. for Christmas. My kid was about 2, the perfect age for Christmas magic. Everytime we drove anywhere after dark, we heard nonstop exclamations of “Noel lights! Noel lights!” Enjoy it while it lasts.
I use to dream that I use to fly around all the time what does that mean? I think Niegan is the MF. He was on THE CHEW and I couldn’t help but be disgusted with him. I don’t know?
Don’t google dream interpretation! Well, you can, but ultimately the meaning of our dreams is unique to each of us. If I recall correctly, the Native American cultures are very adamant about how YOU interpret your OWN dreams.
Someone can tell you what they think it might mean, but they don’t have all the details! For example: you waxed your eyebrow off, but how did you feel in your dream AFTER that? Were you all of the sudden panicked that people were going to judge you or make fun of you? Did you laugh? Did you wax off your eyebrow because you were in a hurry? In a fit of rebellion? Think about that stuff and then you can decide what your dream means to you. ;)
Are you watching This is Us????
YES!! completely obsessed with it. i wrote about it in my november favorites one post back if you want to check it out!
If I Googled the meaning behind all of my crazy dreams, I would have a nervous breakdown. I try not to read too much into them. And my brain is definitely overwhelmed.
I am jewish but have always liked finding the neighborhoods with the good Christmas lights! I love to drive around this time of year, with hot chocolate
I am insanely excited for citrus season too. Ever since I wasn’t allowed to have oranges when I was a kid because I had really bad asthma and rhinitis and it triggered my allergies, I’ve been obsessed. Now that I can have them again, I eat them nonstop!

Hysterical about your eyebrow dream and googling the meaning of that….! So enjoy and relate to your posts!
I hate when I order a cinnamon dolce latte WITH whip and they say “it comes with whip.” Yes I know it does, but half the time your baristas are too lazy to add it like they’re supposed to so I’m specifying in the hopes that I get my drink made the way it’s supposed to be!Â
We drive around looking at people’s lights every Christmas :) last year my son was 3 months old and it was pretty magical for him. I can’t wait to see what he thinks of the experience this year!
