Tuesday Things.
1. Seriously craving these coconut oatmeal chocolate bars.
2. Yesterday I drove through my neighborhood and realized that I had pulled out of the garage with my phone ON my car. I found it in the middle of the road, no cracks at all – and it was pouring rain! If you’re wondering if that iPhone 7 is water resistant…
3. UM. My life was made last week when I finally got to meet Elin Hilderbrand! Even though I developed those recipes for her book last year, we still hadn’t met in person. I freaked out like the biggest fan girl to ever exist.
4. Thoughts on Orange is the New Black this season? I’m on episode 7. I’m still having a hard time getting into it (a lot of it feels like one BIG episode, not seven?) but it’s getting better. I do love that they are tackling real world issues. I think I’m in overdrive because all my favorite Netflix shoes released at once.
5. The worst damage for me is done in Sephora when I’m with someone else and this weekend was no exception when my cousin Lacy and I went in. I walked out with TWO palettes even though I don’t need any palettes. Worst example ever. My face is going to be one huge glitter bomb because I think I’m still 17.
6. I also bit the bullet and ordered a pair of the Sperry seaside slip ons. I’m afraid I’m going to loathe them even though I love them on everyone else.
7. We took Max to see Cars 3 on Friday (because he is obsessed with all things Lightning McQueen!) and while we loved the movie, I sort of hated the ending because it basically said hey, you get old and all the new, young people come take your place and are a lot better, so just go ahead and retire! That’s just life. Made me feel like a grandma.
8. Didn’t even know that new emojis are coming!

I just (today!) bought my 2nd pair of Sperry seasides – I’m pretty crazy about them! They’re super comfortable and a nice, summery alternative to sandals when I want something more “substantial”. I have the light gray, and just ordered them in navy.
So exciting about getting to meet Elin Hilderbrand! She is one of my favorite authors and I just rented her latest novel from the library and I’m overly eager to dive into it! P.S. I LOVED all your recipes in her previous book!
No on the Sperry’s for me. They look too old ladyish for me. Converse sneaks any day!

I think you will like your Sperrys! I have had mine forever and wear them everywhere.
I am in my thirties and LOVE the shimmery palettes!! Whoo hoo!
Never apologize for loving glitter! That’s what I thought to myself today as I walked into work wearing my navy blue glitter loafers. Did you get the Too Faced Glitter palette??
Loooove Sperrys. They take a bit to break in, but after that they’re so comfy. It’s what I bring in vacation if we’ll be walking a bunch.
I love OITNB and am so glad it’s back! I do prefer earlier seasons over the current…although I think much of that is due to the prison takeover and not the one-long-episode format. I prefer the “a day in the life” over this situation. All that said, I still love it. P.S. I miss Poussey and think Piper is annoying this season. Also, did you know 14-year old Daya is Daya’s real life daughter?
I was not pleased with the latest season of OITNB…. Felt like there was something missing. You should try watching Wentworth. It is on Netflix and it is the Australian OITNB. I actually enjoy it far more than OITNB
I was NOT a fan of this season OITNB. It was slow, boring and too much going on in over a 72 hour period – although the end makes me cannot wait for the next season.
We took our son, who loves lighting, to see Cars 3. I felt the same way! I wanted to see him show the new race cars that the old guys still have it!

What palettes did you buy?? I just had one of those fabulous and awesome 20% off everything (inc. prestige!) coupons from Ulta this week and I went so completely overboard!
I didn’t see Cars 3, but the sound of that ending has me super depressed. In my mid-30s, I’m already majorly struggling with feelings like that already. Ugh! I feel like a grandma too!
