Iced Raspberry Lattes.
I think it’s safe to say that I’ve found my favorite latte.
Favorite!!
Don’t the words “iced raspberry latte” just sound like pure heaven? They do, they do!
This is crazy. Because I do not love raspberry things. I don’t even love raspberries themselves! But it must be weirdo pregnancy hormones because I got the idea of a raspberry latte in my head and was like, oh heck no, this is NOT leaving your brain until it’s made.
So now it’s made.
I feel FREEEEEEEE!
Last year (almost exactly one year ago!) I told you all about how I didn’t like raspberries, but then I went and stuffed them inside some super fudgy chocolate cookies. Remember when?
I totally think you should eat those cookies while drinking these lattes. You might be in a sugar coma afterwards, but, um… WORTH IT.
This isn’t the first time I’ve made homemade coffee syrup. I made fresh mint syrup here (and make that all the time, especially for cocktails!) and I’ve also made vanilla, blackberry, cinnamon brown sugar and almond. I figured the raspberry would work since I loved the blackberry before, but it was juuuuust a matter of logistics.
Like no seeds.
And making sure it didn’t make my entire coffee pink. Even though it sort of did.
Not like I mind!
Yesterday Max and I played hooky for a few hours and went swimming to soak up some non-rainy weather we finally had. It was the perfect summer afternoon and while I was so tempted to swing by and grab ice cream on our way home, I actually come back and made a mini version of this. A small shot of espresso with just a drop of the syrup over ice. It was SO SO good.
I’ve been making these quickly by brewing one or two shots of espresso (usually one caffeinated, one decaf for me at the moment) over ice and adding the syrup and milk. It’s perfect! Right now I’m using this nespresso maker and I can’t even tell you how much I am enjoying it. Makes the easiest freaking shots ever! Says the person who is not a coffee snob. Obviously.
Raspberries on top, just for good measure of course. And more pink.
Super simple, right?! It’s a different kind of thirsty Thursday over here but no one is stopping you from adding Kahlua or maybe even Chambord to this glass. Sounds like an excellent idea to me.
Iced Raspberry Lattes
Ingredients
raspberry syrup
- 2/3 cup fresh raspberries
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
iced lattes
- crushed ice
- 2 to 3 tablespoons raspberry syrup
- 1 to 2 shots espresso
- milk of choice
Instructions
raspberry syrup
- Heat the raspberries, sugar and water in a saucepan over medium low heat. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved. Let the mix lightly simmer for 4 to 5 minutes, until the berries break down. Pour the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a jar to strain out the seeds. This stays great in the fridge as long as it’s in a sealed container!
iced lattes
- Fill the glasses with crushed ice and pour 2 to 3 tablespoons of the syrup over top – however much you would like! Add you desired amount of espresso (hello multiple shots) and fill the rest up with milk. Garnish with a berry or two. Enjoy!

So when I worked as a barista, there was this guy who would come in and get coffee with raspberry syrup. I thought he was straight-up NUTS. But then I see this and it’s pretty much all I want right now. LOVE this idea, and I’m totally trying it.
hahaha! maybe it’s weird pregnancy cravings for me because i also would have found it weird a few months ago!
These look completely amazing!!
thanks katy!
Santa brought us the Nespresso Virtuoline bundle for Christmas and it is fantastic! And the espresso shots (also the full cups of coffee) are UNREAL! So good, and so easy! And the frother that makes the perfect foamed milk for lattes! WE LOVE IT! And ever since I have been obsessed with flavored syrups for said lattes. THIS IS GOING ON MY LIST! These are gorgeous! And sound so so good!!
it’s the best right!! i absolutely love it!
This looks delish! Making this when I get home tonight. One with and one without alcohol!
thanks tonya!
Yup… I can see why you couldn’t get these out of your head until you made them! Summer berry syrups are the absolute best!! And what a fabulous combination Jessica! :D
thanks traci!
What! How are these THAT easy to make, haha. Eeek, I don’t like raspberries either but those look a little too tasty not to try.
thanks leslie!
Berries in my coffee?! I’m in!! ☺️☺️
thanks ashlyn!
I worked at Starbucks in college and had a few customers who ordered raspberry lattes. I thought they were completely crazy until I finally tried it myself and was like “oh turns out fruit and coffee go well together??” It’s also really good in a mocha!
Definitely making these this weekend!
i know right?! i totally agree! thanks mansee!
Love your site to death, but is there any way to turn off the auto-play videos? Every page has the Bourbon Chai Caramel video pop up, and it’s pretty distracting. (I do love that recipe, but I don’t need to see a video of it pop up on every page I click!) Love your work, just one teensy request. <3
i agree, they are making me crazy! i’m working on it mindy, thanks!!
Umm… Yes yes yes YES!!!! I need this in my life! Maybe Sunday brunch is where they need to appear? With bacon, eggs, toast, avocado, maybe some pancakes for a sweet bite and these raspberry iced coffee….
thanks rachael!!
These look amazing! I need them in my life!

Your drinking espresso when your pregnant?
yes? you’re allowed to have up to 200mg caffeine a day while pregnant. 1 shot is around 50-70mg. and you can obviously use decaf.
I can honestly say putting raspberry syrup in my coffee has never occurred to me. I know Torani sells some pretty off-the-wall flavors, but I’m more basic in that I like mocha, or caramel, or PUMPKIN (sooooooon.) BUUUTTTTTTT I think I’m convinced. That fresh raspberry sauce just looks too good to pass up! (We don’t have a Nespresso, but I think our Ninja Coffee Bar will do the trick nicely!)
thanks erica!
Sounds perfect!
thank you!
Omg omg , how much I love your creations, you have crazy delicious ideas, always! this is a must try! too much good recipes and too little time! but pinned of course!
thank you!! xo
I would make this and totally add some chocolate syrup to it too! Similar to a Dunkin latte they made years ago and loved it!! I love my nespresso machine too! I was over coffee for a bit, and now I’m in love again!!
yes yes yes so good with mocha!
i didn’t think coffee could get any better…but the idea of PINK coffee? i die. perfection on perfection.

Oh my! These look incredible! The color alone is gorgeous and I’m a huge fan of flavored syrups in coffee and lattes, so this sounds ideal!
These look absolutely gorgeous…though, I must say I’ve never seen the combination of raspberry and coffee before and am trying to imagine it. I might have to make this to know for sure…

How long would you say the syrup lasts in the fridge? I’ve seen “a few weeks” to “one week” 😂 and I’m just not sure!

Could totally use topo Chico or another plain sparkling soda in place of the milk or a splash to go with the milk to give a refreshing twist.

Thank you very much for the idea. Although I don’t like raspberries either, and I don’t even have a pregnancy to blame, I am convinced that this is what Saturday mornings need to taste like. I enjoyed this latte in my living room perched on the windowsill: just me and the tall cup in my hands, no books or other distractions needed. Even though the sky was cloudy and the temperature outside was close to the one in the fridge, I felt like I was somewhere fancy and exotic, and I could hear the sea over the dishwasher and taste the smell of roses as I looked at the trees swaying to the Michael Bublé tune that was playing in my head – or to the snowless blizzard that was going on since I woke up.

So I’m looking for motivation to get me out of bed on time in the morning and I am thinking of trying out having yummy coffee drinks and this is one I am going to try. Thank-you for the recipe!
Omg that is so good. I love hot drinks and it’s perfect for autumn time!
