Tuesday Things.
1. The stir craziness is out of control and I am SO glad it’s getting a bit warmer here. We need to get out! I can totally take Emilia to the movies at this stage, right? Since she just sleeps sleeps sleeps.
2. Um, I have a new obsession. Panera iced coffee. IT IS SO GOOD. The vanilla latte tastes like ice cream. So much better and less bitter than Starbucks. Major downfall: no drive thru. This is probably a good thing.
3. But all I really want in life is this homemade cookie cereal.
4. I downloaded the 1 second everyday app after seeing people post their videos at the end of each year for multiple years in a row now. I’m so glad I remembered! This gist is that you take a 1 second video every single day and at the end of the year, it puts an entire video together for you. Too bad all of ours have been with us totally stuck in the house so far.
5. Please tell me you’ve seen (and heard!) the new Bruno Mars video? He will forever be my favorite. And now he just speaks to my 90s loving soul.
6. There is no way I can get enough of Oprah’s Golden Globes speech. I adore her, of course. For the last few weeks I’ve been reading her Wisdom of Sundays book and listening to the super soul conversations podcast. Not to mention, I thought she looked incredible. She was one of my best dressed, along with Viola Davis (who I think I talk about after every awards show because she always looks amazing… also, her eyeshadow!), Reese Witherspoon and Diane Kruger.
7. Also more TV things: I am SO excited about the new show Splitting Up Together? And Good Girls!
8. So not only am I so excited for the winter olympics, I’m also DYING to see I, Tonya. I realize those are two different things, but the memory of that happening is still so vivid in my mind. I was glued to the TV those days as a young almost-tween who wanted to be a pro figure skater and watching Nancy Kerrigan screaming on the floor is etched in my brain forever. Then I remember exactly where I was when we watched those games. Crazy!
9. Mariah says brunch is over. What do you say? I will never ever be over brunch. But I could also get into linner.

You could totally take Emilia to the movies! I took my daughter when she was maybe 10-11 weeks old to one. I wore her and sat next to the exit just in case and she slept the whole time. It was great!
You can totally take Emilia to the movies! A local theater of ours has a family friendly movie where they leave the lights up and kids are free to do whatever they want (when I saw Baywatch a little boy was doing laps around the theatre, no one cared!) my son slept through the first half, then nursed and hung out for the end of the movie. I don’t think anyone would mind, especially if you’re going to a kids movie for Max!
There is a podcast called Becoming Oprah that I’m hoping to start soon, I’ve heard it’s really good!
*Making Oprah
Mariah is wrong, brunch is always a thing! She’s missing out….
Definitely take her to the movies! (pst some Paneras have drive thrus – check their website to see if there’s one near you)
1. Brunch is NEVER OVER. Brunch for all the meals.
2. YOU MUST SEE I, TONYA! We went to an advanced screening and I haven’t been able to stop talking about it. I was just expecting a comedy but it is SO MUCH MORE than that. It’s funny, for sure, but it’s also dark and complicated and messy. I cried at one point. I was not expecting this movie to stick with me as long as it did. Please see it ASAP.
3. This is the best and you are the best.
sending y’all good vibes for 2018 from KC!
YES take Emilia to the movies!! Around here they actually have showtimes that are “mom & me” w/ lower sound, lights up a bit and a theatre full of moms/parents w/ nursing, feeding, pooping, squawking babies. There actually isn’t much squawking since it’s mostly teeny babies who are asleep. I went so many time w/ my first… try it out!
I, Tonya is so good! And made me so excited to watch the Olympics this year – I figure skated when I was younger and was glued to the tv that year and remember everything!
Yes, coffee should never be bitter! I hate it when Starbucks burns the coffee (thus the bitterness).
I’m going to try the 1 second every day app too! It sounds really interesting.
Also, thanks for sharing the new Bruno Mars song. I didn’t know he had a new song, and it’s nice!
All of my Panera restaurants have a drive thru. You got the short stick!
All I can say is…I LOVE LINNER! After brunch I feel like I sometimes eat too much and don’t want to eat for the rest of the day (which is shocking to most people who know me.) But, at linner, I feel like I eat just enough and can have a small snack again around 7 and be good!
We have a drive thru Panera. It’s a horrible thing to have. I drive by the Panera with no drive thru just so I don’t have to get out of my car. And now I have a coffee order. ugh. I’m such a basic suburban mom.
I want to see I, Tonya, too.
My kids just started skating lessons. I also now want to watch the Cutting Edge. And Cool Runnings… all the olympic movies!

Just saw a preview for Splitting Up Together this morning and I’m excited too! Have you watched American Housewife on ABC? It’s amazing. I have a feeling if you like the look of Splitting Up Together, you’ll like American Housewife too. I’ve seen multiple episodes multiple times because I like it so much (and the dialogue is so fast that you’ll catch things the 2nd time around you didn’t the first).
I agree on American Housewife, great sitcom! Brunch is not over, that is unless weekends are over. Brunch always! I just downloaded the one second app. So glad the cold snap is over. Already so over the cold weather.
Brunch has been over in my life because with two kids, momma cannot wait until 10am for food and coffee. I would spazz by 830am. Then when we do try it, I eat a snack breakfast then I end up overeating at brunch and feel like a blimp. Soooooo many first world problems.
Um, I have a new obsession. Panera iced coffee. IT IS SO GOOD. The vanilla latte tastes like ice cream. So much better and less bitter than Starbucks. Major downfall: no drive thru. This is probably a good thing.
Next time you go to Ross Park Mall – go to the Panera at McCandless Crossing… has a drive thru!!!!
My Panera has a drive thru! I love it. Surely there are more around that do.
Brunch will NEVER be over in my life.
The Panera here will DELIVER! This could be a dangerous thing…
I, Tonya is a must see; we LOVED it. We kinda went because there wasn’t anything else playing at our closest movie theater at a good time when we randomly left the babies with grandma and ran away for the evening. But even my husband loved it. It’s like you think every actor is going over the top with their performances but *spoiler alert* they are not. It is amazing!!
I didn’t know about Bruno Mars’ new song/video–fun! I’m digging Justin Timberlake’s new song Filthy. Did you check it out yet? Recommend.
I am late to this party, but…have you tried Starbucks Cold Brew. It is much milder. I am generally not a Starbucks fan, but the cold brew is good. I am also just plain addicted to Chameleon Cold Brew. Makes me so happy!
I’ve taken my baby to the cinema since he was six weeks old, were going to go watch Coco tomorrow, he’s six months now. He’s breastfed so he happily spends most the movie on my boob, snoozing or sat up watching the film. He loves Reece Witherspoon. It’s so nice to get out of the house whilst it’s such terrible weather and spend some good cuddle time together. In the UK though you can only take a baby to an age appropriate film, cue my embarrassment when I was turned away from Girls Trip when he was a newborn, as though I was a horrible mother for taking my barely sentient cabbage baby to see it!
This site is so nice which will provide you the best recipe for preparing new dishes as I have grabbed is really nice and useful.
Thanks for this..
A really humble, hardworking guy too. Astronauts are commonly shown to be the pinnacle of fitness, intelligence, and prestige. But, he had so many anecdotes of not being the best in class, close calls in his pilot days, and royally screwing up something he was working on. What’s important is he accepts all that as par for the course and would immediately get into solving the issue.
This is one of the best article i am reading right now. great work and really informative and helpful to me. Carry on with the good work ahead. Thanks for sharing the info with us.
