life with emilia: eight months in.
YEP. Eight freaking months. 8!
This baby girl!
In true second child fashion, I don’t have a ton to say so this is going to be mostly a photo dump of the last month.
Emilia is the happiest baby in the universe. She is just amazing. So absolutely happy and wonderful. And if she is tired or fussy and we’re out at a party or something , as long as she is being held? She’s a peach. I feel ridiculously lucky. I know that we are!
This girl LOVES food. We’re still doing a mix of finger foods and purees. For purees, I’ve actually got a few Little Spoon boxes and we absolutely love them. Sure, I could make it myself, but these combos they send? They are incredible! Things I’d never think to mix. The only flavor she doesn’t really love is anything with beets. Other than that, I give her what we are eating within reason.
She doesn’t sleep through the night, but she takes AMAZING naps, falls asleep on her own, can settle and soothe herself back to sleep and is really an excellent sleeper when she’s sleeping!
She is SO ticklish and has huge loud giggling fits which make my entire day.
She adores Max. Max adores her. It is quite possibly the best thing to watch. Max will do something threenager-y, pushing a limit, and before I can even say a word she is laughing hysterically at him. Which makes me laugh! He still asks to hold her every morning as soon as we wake up. I swear they have their own secret language.
Everything about her is just so perfect and snuggly and loveable and cheeky!
And I basically adore how she looks like the loveliest 83 year old woman sometimes.
We are so busy right now and it’s wonderful and time is flying by and I’m just trying to soak up every bit! This age is the best.
All the loveable giggles! xoxoxo

Lord…Emilia is the cuteist baby ever and she looks so much like Max.
Funny it was MAx who had all the hair as a baby and Emiliais atill hair challenged, ha!
Thanks for the update…it is fun to see how she has grown and what a happy, sweet ababy she seems to be.
She’s gorgeous! Kiss her an extra 100 times each day- there can never be too much.
Emilia’s chunky thighs and belly and her bald little head and big beautiful glassy eyes kill me. She is perfect and I seriously want to eat her little baby toes! I’m obsessed with both Emilia and Max. I love seeing them grow! I have a massive request though, I want way way waaaay more pictures and videos of them! Please? The videos especially are my favorite, I love seeing how the two of them interact with each other. They are just the sweetest.
Do you use disposable or reusable swim diapers? I purchased some reusable ones, but they seem so bulky! I’m not even sure if it makes sense to try to get a swimsuit over them. My daughter is seven months..planning our first pool day very soon.
hey girl- she is so cute! y’all are so blessed!
She is so cute! As a soon-to-be first time mom, I’ve enjoyed your pregnancy/baby posts – thank you! I wanted to ask – did you use the Belly Bandit the second time around? I’m trying to figure out if it’s worth the cost, and if I should go BFF or Mother Tucker.
