Tuesday Things.
1. I feel like sometimes you just turn a corner in August and you’re READY for fall. I know we still have a ways to go and I’m certainly not eating any pumpkin… but I think I’m kind of there. I’m ready.
2. Probably because even though we aren’t in back-to-school-mode over here since we aren’t going to school, the school supplies are everywhere and this year they are WILD. There is glitter and unicorns and all sorts of pins to bedazzle backpacks and if I was going into fifth grade or something I would straight up lose my Lisa Frank loving mind. The best part is that Max loves to write and color and use sparkle glue, so we’ve had fun picking a few things up.
3. If I WAS going back to school myself, like in college, would it be a dorm room competition? Have you seen some of these amazing dorm rooms that are totally decked out? They look like they are out of a catalog. If you look at pinterest and search dorm room inspiration, you may be equally amazed and depressed.
4. Ohhh I am so into this iced vanilla rosemary latte.
5. Okay so The Affair! We got some resolution this week but I have NO idea how they will wrap it up next week. And basically I only care about Cole, err, I mean Pacey. Ugggh. And! Yellowstone this past week was so.freaking.good too. We are absolutely obsessed with the show and the storyline.
6. If you haven’t listened to Rise podcast by Rachel Hollis, you must! It is so so good. And funny.
7. This story of finding old love letters... ahhhh. The sweetest thing ever.
8. Current love: tomato confit. All I want to make is slow roasted tomatoes with olive oil and use them on every bite I take.

I’m actually ready for a pumpkin spice latte!! I know, I’m terrible!! I’ve always loved stationary and the school supplies are so much cuter than when I was in school!
re: #1 — summer forever.
I’m ready for fall!!! I don’t do pumpkin spice lattes anymore (the syrup gives me a headache) but I put Penzey’s Pumpkin Pie Spice in my coffee in the mornings and it’s like fall in a cup. Kids are back to school here in Colorado and I’m tired of 90 degree days.
Also love fall, Lisa Frank, and Yellowstone :)
SO ready for fall! I’m starting to feel the chill in the air and I love it! Pumpkin spice is waaaay too sweet for me, but my go-to fall drink is steamed apple juice with a chai tea bag. It tastes like apple pie! I don’t know why PSL is too sweet and apple juice isn’t, but…
I with you 100% Jessica, my brain went into fall mode two weeks ago. Give me all the pumpkins and cozy sweaters!
Have you watched succession on HBO? Just 10 episodes and I can’t wait for it to come back!
I may try Yellowstone based on your recommendation. And I love the affair. What I keep asking my husband is why is she a magnet for men that are bad? Why did the dude on the plane(assuming that happened how she said) want to take advantage of her?
I’m with you on The Affair. The last two episodes have been unreal! This is the first time in 40 years I have not gone back to teach. Feels strange, but retirement is great! I joined a partnership at our local university that has speakers every week, etc., a Bible Study, plus I have to leave time to cook your recipes and write my blog! I am so ready for fall! It is so hot in Orlando!! Thank goodness for air conditioning! Oh, and I love slow roasted tomatoes!!

Alison and Cole are definitely my favorite characters. I don’t know how I can watch now knowing they won’t get a happy ending!
The Affair: I’m all about Cole! I am this week’s episode behind.. it’s on my list to catch up this weekend.
I am not ready for fall yet because I feel like I lost a good chunk of summer moving/packing etc. Finally I’m getting to do fun stuff and it’s already ‘back to school’ WHAT?! sigh.
you people who want fall in august ! i will never ever ever understand it !
When do kids start school there – age I mean, not month? I’m in Canada (Ontario), and my daughter is starting JK (junior kindergarten) in 3 weeks. (She’s a 2014 baby, as is Max I believe?) I’m not ready for this!
