2018 Holiday Gift Guide: Kitchen Favorites!
Behold my 2018 holiday kitchen gift guide! I’ve most likely rambled about these all year, but these are just a selection of my favorite things for gifts. Some are great for hostess gifts, others are a splurge for your own list. But they are all things I love so much!
2018 Kitchen Holiday Gift Guide
Smeg citrus juicer. I’ve raved about this juicer all year long and it’s number one on my list to gift! If you have the space for it, it’s totally worth it. It’s easy to clean too.
The cutest dish towel. My mom is the queen of gifting adorable kitchen towels and pot holders. She always finds the cutest ones!
Finex cast iron skillet. My favorite cast iron, by far. It looks sharp but it’s also the best I’ve ever used.
The Le Creuset pot I use everyday. This stays on my stovetop because it’s super pretty. I love this special edition gold leaf on the sides! I use it daily for soups, pasta, sauces – you name it.
This gold wine rack. It’s so pretty, compact enough to fit in tight spaces and holds six bottles! All we need.
Adorable rose gold condiment spoons. These are just the cutest.
Mirrored rolling bar cart. I have two bar carts and utilize them almost daily. One is a coffee bar and the other is set up with wine and a few cocktail glasses. I use both during parties and holidays. And they look super cute too! Mine are both silver so I would love a gold one. I’ve scoured the internet for my favorites!
Lily and Val meal planner. It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with everything Lily and Val, and I adore their meal planning sheets. There are enough here for a year!
KitchenAid Pro Line series blender. This has been my one and only blender for almost two years now and I love it. I’d recommend it over any other high-powered blender. Plus it’s kind of nice looking!
Cumberland mug. I love that this is a festive-sort of mug without being too cutesy.
This Glass herb holder is genius. I always end up snipping too many herbs and need to a place to put them so they stay fresh.
Marble fruit bowl. This is such a statement piece and I love it. I have the marble pastry slab to match and they are great for thing things during parties too!
MacKenzie-Childs Utensil Holder. This parchment check print is my absolute favorite and I think it is SO pretty.
KitchenAid limited edition Misty Blue stand mixer. How amazing is this bowl?! Now that’s a statement stand mixer. It’s like a piece of decor.
French rolling pin. I LIVE for my french rolling pin. It’s the only one I use for pie crusts, pizzas and sugar cookies. It’s the best!
White santoku knife. This is my favorite “cheap” knife. I use it everyday and love that it comes with a guard. It won’t win any sharp slicing awards, but it works super well for everything I cook at home on a regular basis!
These assorted Latte bowls are my favorite everyday bowls. Great for pastas, soups and cereal.
Flower market pepper grinder. For when you want to get all fancy with your salt and pepper.
Garlic press. I KNOW. The garlic press is a hot topic because chefs hate it. I love it. I don’t have strong knife skills so chopping tiny cloves of garlic is a nightmare for me.

Love your honesty! I am a classically trained chef and like you said normally “we” should scoff at a garlic press… but seriously, who cares?! I’m all about it, sometimes I’m honestly just too lazy and if it means I get to spend more time with my family vs spending time in the kitchen hand mincing garlic “properly” then sign me up! Been a reader for years, love your stuff l!
thank you so much leigha! that means so much to me. xo
After trying to juice oranges the other day (in a hurry, no less) using a hand-juicer from Williams-Sonoma that half-fell apart after one use, I’m seriously contemplating that SMEG juicer… Plus, lots of pretty colors!!
it is life changing. seriously! once winter comes (and it’s prime citrus season) i just leave it on my counter!
So I know you love the garlic press, but I’m curious, would you ever use the pre-minced garlic sold in grocery stores (usually I find it in the produce section) or frozen minced garlic? I feel like it’s a faux pas but it’s SO CONVENIENT and = no garlic press to clean! I’m curious what you think!?
i have definitely bought it minced in the jar from delallos before. but for some reason i never end up grabbing for it? i think that i forget about it in my fridge! i think it’s acceptable though… heheh. : )
Ahh, I want a bunch of these, but that especially that stand mixer! It’s so pretty!
thanks farrah!
Hate a garlic press? I don’t want to live in a kitchen without a garlic press…it’s the only way I will be adding garlic to something is if it was quickly pressed in the miracle of a garlic press. I’m so confused why anyone would choose to chop or mince garlic with a knife.
i totally agree! :)
The Kitchen Aid Pro is a seriously good blender. Use mine everyday. This is a really useful list of kitchen ideas. Love this site.
it is the best! thanks andy.
Oh man, I want everything on this list! I think I’m going to have to pass this on to my family so they know what to get me this year – lol! ;)
thanks so much kirsti!
