2020.
Ugh 2020.
Not the year we expected at all. Sometimes I still can’t believe or comprehend it. I’m not sad to see it end, but…
The silver lining of all of this was getting to spend so many moments with these little love nuggets of mine. It sounds so cliche but life really slowed down for us, obviously. While much of the time I felt like I was accomplishing nothing, I know that in years to come I will look back on these days we spent at home and really appreciate the time together. Heck, I already do.
I can’t thank you enough for spending time in this space everyday! I’ve tried really hard to keep this space as authentic and personal as I can for you. I never want it to be a robotically written SEO food website where the author disappears, and it means the world to me that you stop by everyday, make my recipes and chat with me! I hope it will be that way for years to come and that we see many brighter days in 2021.
xoxoxo
P.S. most of these photos are taken from my week in the life posts – where I chronicled our days/weeks for the entire year! I plan on starting again this sunday as it was such a fun project and I love looking back.

Happy New Year to you & your family!! It was definitely a year we will all remember for sure! I want to thank you for sharing your lives with us. I always look forward to reading your blog the most because I always feel like you’re talking to one of your friends and I’ve always loved that. Glad that you’ll continue to do the week in the life posts, they are one of my favs. Umm and I can’t get over how much Emilia & Max has grown in the last year, Can’t wait to see what 2021 brings! Lots of good food for sure! :-)
Best wishes for a wonderful 2021. Exciting year for your family – Emilia’s going to be a big sister and Max an even bigger brother. Let’s hope that he passes the secret along to Emilia on how to be such a special sibling. Would be a better world if all brothers and sisters felt that way about each other. I’m the oldest of 5 and only my two younger brothers are in our lives – sad that this is the case but we do embrace the good things in our lives…all we can do. Anyway, keep up the good work and I appreciate YOU for all the hard work you put into this blog – it’s the best!
Thank you for sharing all that you do with us. I look forward to these life posts along with all your recipes of course!!!! Congrats  to you, Eddie and the kids on your new little one to come!!!  Here’s hoping for a brighter new year for all of us😊
happy new year to you and your family! thank you for the hard work you do and the joy you bring to all your readers and followers! xoxo
So glad you’re continuing the week in the life series Jessica! Have enjoyed all the photos this year.
And on another note, it is 100% your voice and style that keep me reading your blog. This is the only food blog I (still) read every day — even though I’m both vegetarian and don’t really cook these days, ha. Wishing you and your family a happy 2021!
Happy 2021! I’ve been following your blog so long I feel like we’re old friends! (Cheesy, I know) I just want to say thank you! I genuinely look forward to you in my inbox everyday, whether it’s pictures of your littles, recipes or book reviews!
I can’t even tell you how much I love your blog! The overwhelming majority of our meals are from here and they never disappoint. You help so much with my meal planning and are also my resource for so much more… books, gifts, etc. It’s all very much appreciated!!!

Happy New Year !
Thank you so much for posting this past year so much. You were my light, provided laughter, and my lunch partner so many days while working from home.
