Oreo Chocolate Cobbler

This oreo chocolate cobbler is a chocoholic's dream! This gooey skillet cake has a fudgy batter-like base with a fluffy cake and crushed oreos on top. Serve hot with vanilla ice cream!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup crushed oreos, plus more for topping
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 ¾ cups hot coffee
  • vanilla ice cream, for serving

Instructions 

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, baking powder, sugar and 2 tablespoons of cocoa. Stir in the milk and oil. Pour into a 9-inch pie plate, baking dish or skillet. Sprinkle on the oreos. Combine the brown sugar and remaining cocoa and sprinkle over batter. Pour hot coffee on top - do not stir the mixture.
  • Bake for 40 to 45 minutes.
  • Remove and let it sit for about 15 minutes so it can set. Top with vanilla ice cream and more crushed oreos.
