I have a new addiction.
Said addiction is soft. And fluffy. And dense. And hot. And easy. And delicious when dipped in thick homemade smoked cheddar sauce. Maybe even better when dipped in bone suckin’ mustard.
Head on over to Tasty Kitchen and see the super simple step-by-step. I may have only made a handful of rolls… and then made soft pretzel bites with the rest. Maybe.

I’m Jessica and this is where I share my stuff. You will find a balance of healthy recipes, comfort food and indulgent desserts.
Holy moly do these look good!!!

Nice shot of the bun/tomato. I may or may not have taken about 100 shots similar to that at my food styling workshop a weekend ago. Lots of playing with buns. lol
And the bone suckin mustard. I am going to get that! Thanks for the reminder!

i’m not a big fan of pretzels unless they are soft, filled with salt, and there are dipping sauces for my pleasure.

You have really made my night with this post. I may in fact call out of work tomorrow so I can make these even sooner. When I buy pretzel rolls from Wegmans and they start to get slightly old, I make bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches with them and throw them in a panini press or use another pan to press them down (slightly flatten them) and make the roll warm and crusty on the outside while soft and delicious on the inside.

I love making homemade pretzels. I make whole wheat flax pretzel hot dogs for my kids in the summer time (http://smartfoodandfit.com/2010/06/whole-wheat-flax-pretzel-dog/). I’ll have to try your recipe next time when we have hamburgers for dinner next time!

Pr’s = d’lish! Great w/anything!
We “discovered” these several years ago. Seem to be everywhere these days. A fresh & tasty bakery treat. Children love em! Less salted-tops are best.
A few weeks ago I picked up two boxes at Whole Foods. Forgot the bakery’s name. From Wisconsin. Mini’s and regular sandwich rolls …. both were great!
Happy Joyous Passover!
Happy Easter!

I’m imagining these with pizza fillings baked inside. Or just eaten plain by the dozen… I have a feeling the BF wouldn’t allow that to pass for dinner though :D
