My Cookbook

Published by Jessica under Sweet Eats

I am currently writing my first cookbook proposal, based on my my wacky, 4- foot tall, buttered-cracker lovin’, stubborn grandmother, Mother Lovett.

You can read more about Mother Lovett here:

Mother Lovett: Prologue

Mother Lovett: It’s My Party and I’ll Cry If I Want To

Mother Lovett: Treasures

Mother Lovett: A Recipe

A Mother Lovett Kind-Of Weekend

Mother Lovett’s Butterball Cookies

Mother Lovett’s Orange Cake

Yes, writing this book proposal is scary. I have asked myself many times ‘Why me?

Well, ‘Why not me?’

We are all capable of anything we put our mind to. I encourage you to follow those dreams and make them a reality.

I grew up with my nose in a book. Walking into a bookstore these days still gives me an astounding, exciting rush. I spent my teen years reading series such as The Babysitter’s Club and Sweet Valley High.

I am a daydreamer and romantic at heart. I aspire to one day write a fiction series for young adults that intrigues, inspires, let’s them know they are normal and beautiful, and makes them laugh.

‘Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re right.’

Very inspiring! I want to get my book published too so I know how hard the process is.

I used to love Sweet Valley High and Babysitters Club. I think I read each and every single one out there!

I’m so glad that my publisher essentially found me — I’ve seen proposals… they are so intimidating! I wouldn’t have known where to start if it didn’t just fall in my lap… I’m thankful for that! Good for you to follow your dream. I wish you success.
