Why is this in my fridge?
Better yet, it’s not even in my crisper drawer, otherwise known as “the place vegetables go to die.”

You’re making spinach pesto? (it’s good)
You can try cooking it and pureeing it and hiding it brownies like Jessica Seinfeld. I’ve always wondered if you could taste the veggies in them. I have a friend who uses black beans and another who has put beets in them and they swear it is good. I’m doubtful. Would love it if you tried and posted.
I have a friend who swears by carrot puree in her brownies! I am skeptical too, but have considered trying it. I bet spinach would probably work too. Black beans would be neat – the brownies could be like protein brownies!
YES the black bean brownies are AWESOME !! I have made them many times… they taste fabulous. have not tried the spinach…
I am so going to make those! :) Thanks for the link!
Spinach, peach and banana smoothies!!!
lol well obviously you need to cook it with some bacon. :)
You could totally sautee these up with some mushrooms and wine and then add some bacon! I bet mr. How sweet would love that as a side dish to his meat! :)
You’re pairing it with butter and bacon??
The same reason I need to buy some and a few other things to make this hummus. http://thepioneerwoman.com/tasty-kitchen-blog/2011/02/spinach-and-feta-hummus/
I need spinach! I went to the grocery store yesterday and got enough almond milk to feed the Jolie/Pitts but forgot spinach! I’ll take it off your hands :)
lol blend it into some homemade hummus:-)
I love baby spinach – it’s one of my new fav foods! (This changes on a weekly basis, of course). Add feta cheese, fresh mushrooms, a hard boiled eggs, and of course, la piece de resistance, bacon. With some Renee’s poppyseed dressing…mmm…
ok…take a deep breath jessica…and then whip up a nice buttery cheesey cream-filled sauce and make yourself some baked creamed spinach :) love, cathy b.
make spinach and feta hummus! posted on the tasty kitchen blog today!
Oooh, send it to me! I need to restock my spinach supply. :-)
Hah…I made cupcakes with chocolate frosting today and I ate so much frosting that now the only thing that sounds good is a big plate of veggies. Sorry you hate them!! :D
It wasn’t me.
Well I know it wasn’t you, because if it was it would probably be something that looked so delicious that you’d trick me into eating 7 servings of veggies.
Hahaha. Put it in a smoothie masked with tons of cocoa powder and PB??
Maybe dip it in chocolate?!
yummmm…make some strawberry spinach salad. that’s what i’m doing tonight!
When in doubt…add bacon! What about a spinach salad with warm bacon vinaigrette?
I have had so much fun using spinach in recipes this year! Hubs hasn’t minded one bit.
I’m not the biggest veggie person – but I’m always down for spinach!
Gosh… I’ve missed so many of your posts! I was preoccupied with my mother not being well, and trying to finish up the new site… that said…. I had an ew moment the other day. but it was with pizza… long story… lol
What is it?
Just go make yourself like 80 green monsters. Green monsters are they only way I get my necessary green stuff in most days.
Maybe green smoothies? It would only take three or four to use it up!
I agree that you should whip yourself up some green smoothies – that way you can trick yourself into getting some veggies! I like Vega chocolate with a banana and peanut butter or whip up a smoothie with milk and lots of berries and of course lots of spinach. I have a feeling you could even whip up a bacon with cheese version ;-) Yummy!
Oh come on spinach is delicious!!! I love adding it to a protein smoothie with peanut flour, vanilla protein powder, shredded coconut, coconut milk, frozen banana slices, ice and spinach. It is a pretty green color and tastes like a peanut butter shake. You never taste the spinach!
I could SO snarf up that entire container of baby spinach! I love, love, love spinach! Sorry…just keepin it real! :-)
Embrace it! Put a handful in a smoothie. Yummers.
Use it in smoothies! Also, sautee with garlic and some cream and parm cheese…yummy.
