Tuesday Things.
1. I have been dying over this fabulous brie allll day long. I already added it to my things-to-make for Thanksgiving, but can hardly wait until then. I might eat cheese for dinner tonight.
2. I impulsively bought this malt vinegar sea salt over the weekend. Then on Sunday, I drizzled some white truffle oil over popcorn and sprinkled it with the salt. I have always been a giant fan of salt n’ vinegar anything, so it seemed like a wise idea. It was. I also didn’t tell Mr. How Sweet what was on the popcorn, but that’s only because he “claims” to not like the taste of plain vinegar. I figured he meant that in the same sense as him not liking coconut or not liking ricotta cheese (which I hide in everything anyway). So he tasted it. He almost threw up. It was hilarious. Then I ate the popcorn.
3. Want to waste time? Download the 7 Little Words app. It will make you feel incredibly stupid and the hours fly by at the same time. You’re welcome.
4. I can’t stop listening to the new Michael Buble holiday album and I don’t care what you think of me.
5. Since we are entering the season of frigid temps, this gloss is permanently on my lips. Freaking love it.
6. Pinterest is still sucking the life out of me, and my bank account too. I need these. I also have no idea where my time goes. Because I’m pretty sure it has nothing to do with Pinterest or #3.
7. Speaking of that, I’ve always been obsessed with winter white… everything. NOT HELPING. Gahhh… pinterest knows everything.
8. I’m wondering how everyone will feel if I’m Jem for Halloween again. I was only her for like… 10 straight years of my childhood life. I’d also like to make these apples for the party I’m not having slash not invited to.
9. Hey, remember when my computer wasn’t as slow as molasses and didn’t take SEVENTY FIVE minutes to post a dumb Tuesday Things post? What do you love more – your Macbook Pro of your Macbook Air? Hellllp.

So making that Brie – wow, yum, could eat it all by myself! And you should buy those shoes and call it an accessory for your Jem outfit – she would have totally worn those, they compliment the pink hair.
My Macbook Pro is my bff. I use my USB/flash card drives all the time and that’s something that a Macbook Air doesn’t have.
That popcorn story is my favorite story. Ever. Totally something I would have done to my husband, then I would have argued that he really liked it, and faked the nausea.
So many thoughts all at once. I can’t take it! :) ok. hysterical – went to check out pinterest item you needed and saw the $1k shoes… sold out. 8-o love malt vinegar. this sea salt would be wonderful on thick wedge fries. mmmm :) computers. brother-in-law loves his Air, but I would go for the Pro. Does more. But what do you want it for??? That’s really the bigger question. Air was Apple’s answer to the netbook. Do you want something that does everything your computer does? Then you want a Pro. Do you want something good for surfing the net and sending e-mails (does more, too, but you get the idea), then you may want the Air. fwiw. ck out the Apple website or better yet go to the Apple store and get a feel for the machines and talk to the techies.
I got my Mac Book Air 13″ a bit more than a month ago and I love it! I had the classic white Macbook before and loved it as well, but the advantage of having to carry around half of the weight in my back thanks to Air is immense. Also the flash memory is incredible, you are running in few seconds! plus there are 2 usbs and a card reader + this thunderbolt connection (or whatever you call it) and so far I have not regretted going for Air instead of Pro. It really depends of what are your needs, if it’s for blogging, browsing, some photoshop, and simple stuff, Air is for sure enough. And btw I love you blog, just that I never commented before :)
I LONG FOR A MAC.
my laptop is from the 90s :)
I have a plain ole MacBook and an iMac. I love both, but I love my iMac more.
MacBook Pro…just got one after I *accidentally* dropped our HP laptop! ;) LOVE IT!
Macbook Pro,…….MacAir just seems too tiny, too small,……really, too breakable for me. The MacPro is my current love. :)
Macbook pro is always a winner. I’ll be purchasing one this year for sure.
Sorry, I’m no help when it comes to the Mac discussion. I’m firmly ensconced in Windows.
BUT
I will say that if you are gonna make or eat candied or caramel apples, invest in one of those apple corer thingys. You know, that you press down on and it slices the apple and cuts out the core all in one fell swoop? PERFECT for apples-on-a-stick.
My iPad.
I’d like to pretend Pinterest is helping me…I’ve pinned lots of DIY tricks & ideas. But then it takes up all my time, so I don’t have any left to actually do the DIY projects. Oops.
That salt sounds amazing! I love salt and vinegar things too, yum!
I am also addicted to 7 Little Words. And Moxie. Whatever you do, do NOT download Moxie. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
love your list!
will def try the lip butter.
mac book pro!
Feel no shame in playing the Christmas Buble!! I just got it on monday and my girls and I have been dancing like idiots to it ever since ;-)
I know its a bit early but dusting off all my xmas cds ready for all the festive baking that is coming my way
x x
I almost retched just thinking about vinegar popcorn. You abuse that poor man. LOL But I NEED that lip balm, those mint shoes, and a winter white coat. I’ll take either the Bloomingdale’s by Rachel Zoe Military one or the Trina Turk Manhattan. I’m all about the texture. I’m diggin’ the whole contrast thing – dark denim or dark leather with the soft winter white.
Hey Jessica,
Don’t get a Macbook Air. I have one and about a year in it basically doesn’t work anymore. I have little to nothing on it but it basically has no memory – with all of your pictures a Macbook Air just wouldn’t work.
I’ve had multiple problems with it, and once when I took it to the Apple store an employee scoffed at me when I told him it was my work computer. He let me know that the Air is more of a “backup”, or “play” computer. Gimme a break – they should let us know that!
Get a Macbook Pro!
I clicked on your pinterest link…..ughhh I got sucked in and start pinning – it gets me every time!!
Let’s see, what to comment on first … that brie loooks amazniggg. *drool* So does this http://www.jasonandshawnda.com/foodiebride/archives/2511
I wish Christmas was here already. I want to play music and eat tons of food and drink shamelessly during the day and probably gain 10lbs that I don’t need to gain lol.
I don’t have a Mac/Macbook anything, but I love my Lenovo laptop, if that helps..?
Oh, speaking of, I just got my very first iPhone !!!! I had to go back and read your post about when you got yours and take notes on which apps to download. Definitely going to check out 7 Little Words now….
that brie is getting made asap. macbook pro!
Pinterest is the only thing that keeps me from dying at work when I have nothing to do.
Also, to the computer question, neither. I refuse to use Mac’s ever since one ate most of my undergraduate thesis off my USB key a week before it was due. (It crashed and took the USB key with it). Thankfully the tech guys were able to recover most of what I had written, but it took them 3 days.
I would go for the Pro. We entered the Mac world in the past year and love our MacBook Pro. Some reasons I would opt for the Pro are 1. it has a Cd/DVD drive and the Air does not, not that I use those that often, but recently I needed to and it was really nice to have that feature (ok maybe I didn’t NEED to, but I was out of town and wanted to watch a DVD, and if I’d had an Air I wouldn’t have been able to do that). I think it also has a bit more memory and features than the Air. I know people that love and swear by the Air, but the Pro is still portable, just has a little more power and does a little more for a few hundred bucks less. Depends on if those couple pounds mean much to you or not. The Pro is more like a full power computer than the Air.
So if I promise to wash all your dishes can I be your sidekick?
Jem takes me back to college. We didn’t have cable but for some reason my roommate had all the Jem and the Holograms episodes of VHS so we watched them on endless repeat for the entire year!
I did you I like cupcakes circuit at the gym this morning…kicked by booty! It was just what I needed.
I just got a new MacBook Pro a couple weeks ago. I heard it’s better because it has more storage than the MacBook Air. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. My only problem was that my old MacBook is so outdated that i’m having trouble transferring things over (music and pictures-oh no!!!). I also agree with you that Pinterest is a DANGEROUS guilty pleasure. It keeps me from the productive things I need to do like laundry, homework, cleaning, etc. :)
Pintrest is such a guilty pleasure of mine. It’s a little ridiculous and has caused me to buy a lot of new shoes too…and craft, which was a great idea until my apartment became drenched in fine glitter. It.is.everywhere. I am obsessed with my MacBook Pro. I have limited experience with the MacBook Air but I remember someone telling me it didn’t have a USB plug? Someone mentioned that in comments earlier and if true, that would ruin my life when buying a computer.
Aaaand thank you for turning me into a 7 Little Words addict now. I was playing it last night as my eyes were trying to force themselves shut for sleep and I’m going, “Noooo, I need to figure out what a land bridge is!”
Thanks for the heads up on the 7 little words ap… helped me kill the workday today. SHHH!!!!
MAC Book PRO!!!!! What I didn’t realize about the mac book air that we got (maybe I was just being dumb) Is that it doesn’t have a disc drive. So you have to go to the mac store and have everything uploaded and you can never just insert a disc and download or upload stuff. To me, that inconvenience outweighed the extra weight (no pun intended!)
I so want that Michael Buble album!
I love those shoes!! And I totally know what you mean! Once you start on pinterest….. you can’t stop :P
So….eating cheese for dinner isn’t a normal thing? Because that really happens pretty often here.
Amazing. For YEARS I have been hoping that someone would come out with sea salt and vinegar popcorn- because I eat popcorn just about every day of my life- and salt and vinegar chips are my favorite. You are a Godsend. :)
I just had the pro vs. air debate. And the air won. I LOVE it. LOVE LOVE LOVE it.
Apple just released a very slight update to MacBook Pros so the “old” ones are on sale! Just got one! The difference is only in storage space – who doesn’t love a good deal? : )

hours of my life are also about to fly out the window bc of the winter white page… obsessed.
I’m a little late to this BUT I wanted to tell you that I got a brand-new Macbook Air for work and I HATE IT. OK, there are a lot of cool things about it — it’s sexy-looking and light and I love the aluminum BUT the keyboard is TINY. Like gave-me-tendonitis-because-of-how-I-have-to-bend-my-wrists tiny. I now use an external keyboard and mouse with it…which kinda defeats the purpose, you know? There is also no disc drive which sucks for traveling, because you can’t use it as a DVD player. It’s nice and light if you’re on the go, but if that’s the main thing you’re going to use it for…get an iPad.
Thank you!!
We began listening to Christmas music in my dorm before Halloween. We started decorating the day after! :D I’d listen to Buble anyday over the Justin Bieber Christmas album my roommates just love (BLEH!).
I got a macbook air this yr for college…LOVE it. It’s small, fast, and just works better than any PC I’ve owned. As for the DVD thing, if you /really/ need a DVD port (which I don’t), you can purchase one separately that plugs into your USB port. If you want efficiency, go for Air. If you need it for more programs/work, I’d go for Pro. happy mac hunting! :-)
Macbook Pro all the way. You can’t add/upgrade/do a lot of stuff on the Air and it’s more expensive!
