Some of My Favorite Nantucket Things. {a giveaway!}
If you follow along on instagram then you’ve already got a big (over)dose of the past five days that I spent in Nantucket.
I never wanted to leave. absolutelyinlove.
We were there working with Pavan for the annual Nantucket Film Festival and it was simply a blast. I’m going to tell you all about that in more posts to come (complete photo overload on it’s way) and I can’t wait to share what we did and most importantly: WHERE WE ATE. Even if it rained the entire freaking time. Seriously. The entire time.
Then we came home to solid downpours. It just follows me.
In the meantime, I went on a few adventures in Nantucket in search of some cool local products that I could share with you since I couldn’t frolic on the beach in my downtime. That included spending a good chunk of time in the bakery (shocker), the local farmer’s market on saturday morning (omg, love!) and a bunch of boutique-y shops. My absolute favorite was called ambrosia (I think they have an actual website, but I can’t get it to load), which is an artisan chocolate, spices and tea store. You don’t even want to KNOW what I came home with. I’m going to tell you soon anyway, but it consists of wonderful things like merlot salt, rose powder and organic dark chocolate cocoa nib hot cocoa mix.
Ugh. So good.
Since we all fell in love with so much of this incredible local stuff, Pavan offered to give away some of my local favorites to six of you. We are giving away treat bags with some goodies from ambrosia, tafari organics (I bought hibiscus syrup from there… omg), embody (all natural bath and body products), petticoat row bakery and small town girl.
I enjoyed everything in Nantucket so much, but especially loved the local culture. It reminded me a lot of Northern Michigan… and if you’ve been following along for a few years, you know we are there every summer and it’s my favorite place in the world.
If it wasn’t for my nostalgia and family ties, Nantucket would rival it. Totally serious. We want to go back every summer.
To enter the giveaway, simply leave a comment on this post below.
For extra entries, you can like Pavan on facebook and follow them on twitter or instagram (which, by the way, I’m obsessed with since it’s so beachy and dreamy… it’s so ME) and leave a comment saying you did so.
[Please be sure to leave a valid email address (where it says “email” in the comment section) so I can contact you if you win – your email will not show up in the public comment, will not be disclosed to anyone but me or used for anything else. The giveaway closes Thursday night and the winners will be contacted by email and announced on this post.
P.S. so much more Nantucket info to come. Man I loved that place.
[as a note, all of my favorite things were purchased by me. Pavan purchased the extras to give away to you guys.]

So obsessed with all you instagrams from this weekend! Everything looks to die for! I liked Pavan on Facebook & Instagram and followed them on Twitter as well!
Love you blog, thanks for all of the laughs!
I’ve never been to Nantucket but for some reason it brings to mind a hipper version of Murder She Wrote. I have no idea why. Maybe because it’s beachy and on the east coast? Anyway, looks amazing.
Ahhh! I grew up spending my summers on Cape Cod! This post was total nostalgia for me. So many memories. Thank you!
I can’t wait for the rest of your photos and more stories from the trip!
I also followed Pavan Liqueur on Twitter and Instagram. I couldn’t get the Facebook link to work, however…
Haven’t been to Nantucket before but it sounds like the kind of place you read about in books (…and then dream about)! It just sounds so classy and elegant and Nantucket-y!! Would love to see your local faves:)
What a dream, rain or shine! I’m going to be on the Cape in August and have every every every intention of finding that caramel sauce!
I have just had my gallbladder out yesterday, still in my hospital bed whilst entering this, but it means I can finally after almost four months eat again! I haven’t been able to eat more than 2g of fat, or caffeine or alcohol and my life has barely been worth living as a result! What’s life without cheese, bacon and moscato?!
Winning this would really be a great way to celebrate my return to eating!
xx
Best of luck with your recovery!
Ah! Sounds like you had a blast! I’d love to go someday!
No FB, instagram, etc.. :(
Glad you had fun! Wish I was there haha :P

Eeeepp…!!! I have my finger’s crossed!
That looks like a heavenly weekend!
I have recently started to read your blog and I love the recipes and get the sense of you from the way you write. I am a foodie and enjoy being around other foodies.
As a kid, I was obsessed with the show Wings. It was set on the island of Nantucket and I always wanted to go and meet Joe and Helen. I, too, am like a 70 year old woman.
I so want to visit Nantucket someday! Can’t wait to hear more about what you did and where you ate and what you bought. :)
I’ve very enviously followed your photos on Instagram; your trip looked so fun! And there is really nothing like going somewhere new and checking out all of the local shops. One of my favorite parts of traveling.
And I just followed Pavan on Instagram!
looks dreamy!
Nantucket = officially added to my list of places to travel. Looks amazing!
I love Nantucket! Grew up going there during the summers :) I have vivid memories of going to the Lily Pulitzer midnight sales!!!!
Nantucket is gorgeous. Sounds like a blast, despite the weather!
I would love to visit Nantucket. Thanks for the giveaway!
Looks lovely, I need to vacation there!
Nantucket sounds wonderful, and the products you got sound amazing. Thanks for the fun giveaway!
Oh my gosh! You were here on ACK? So sorry about the rain. Finally had our first sunny, somewhat beach day today on Nantucket. Did you see any of the films at the festival? I went to one “Some Girl(s)”.
LOVE Petticoat Row Bakery! My go to bakery on the island.
Come back and visit again when the sun is out!
Yay – so adorable, I’m in love!
I’ve been in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania for the last 5 weeks conducting research (and for 6 excruciating yet beautiful days, summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro) and your blog has been a little taste of home every day that I have wifi. I’d love to be able to celebrate my triumphant return to the states with some awesome Nantucket fare that my boyfriend and I can use during out kitchen-experimentation time (known as ‘cooking’ to the rest of the world.)
Nantucket sounds like my kind of place! I love rainy beaches, being from Oregon myself! Give me a cloudy, windy, rainy day at the beach anytime! (That way you don’t run the risk of sunburn, amirit? ;})
Also? James Taylor? Yes. My entire life’s soundtrack. That’s actually one of the reasons I started following your blog! I have been listening to and loving James Taylor my entire life. Also you crack me up. :)
I’ve always wanted to go to Nantucket – definitely on my list.
xx
Lovely photos – can’t wait to see more!

FREAKED out today when I found out you had an instagram… Just spent the first hour of my workday scrolling through all of your posts. Now I can’t wait until lunch!
Oh, their stuff looks wonderul! :-)
I am also following them on twitter!
I’d love to go and visit Nantuket. It looks very similar to my home which is the east coast of northern Germany, Eckernforde. I can just smell the salty air and hear the sea gulls. Great photos!
This is such a fun giveaway!! This way the winner can pretend they went right on the trip with you :) Fingers crossed! Looking forward to the overload of Nantucket posts yet to come.
