Some of My Favorite Nantucket Things. {a giveaway!}
If you follow along on instagram then you’ve already got a big (over)dose of the past five days that I spent in Nantucket.
I never wanted to leave. absolutelyinlove.
We were there working with Pavan for the annual Nantucket Film Festival and it was simply a blast. I’m going to tell you all about that in more posts to come (complete photo overload on it’s way) and I can’t wait to share what we did and most importantly: WHERE WE ATE. Even if it rained the entire freaking time. Seriously. The entire time.
Then we came home to solid downpours. It just follows me.
In the meantime, I went on a few adventures in Nantucket in search of some cool local products that I could share with you since I couldn’t frolic on the beach in my downtime. That included spending a good chunk of time in the bakery (shocker), the local farmer’s market on saturday morning (omg, love!) and a bunch of boutique-y shops. My absolute favorite was called ambrosia (I think they have an actual website, but I can’t get it to load), which is an artisan chocolate, spices and tea store. You don’t even want to KNOW what I came home with. I’m going to tell you soon anyway, but it consists of wonderful things like merlot salt, rose powder and organic dark chocolate cocoa nib hot cocoa mix.
Ugh. So good.
Since we all fell in love with so much of this incredible local stuff, Pavan offered to give away some of my local favorites to six of you. We are giving away treat bags with some goodies from ambrosia, tafari organics (I bought hibiscus syrup from there… omg), embody (all natural bath and body products), petticoat row bakery and small town girl.
I enjoyed everything in Nantucket so much, but especially loved the local culture. It reminded me a lot of Northern Michigan… and if you’ve been following along for a few years, you know we are there every summer and it’s my favorite place in the world.
If it wasn’t for my nostalgia and family ties, Nantucket would rival it. Totally serious. We want to go back every summer.
To enter the giveaway, simply leave a comment on this post below.
For extra entries, you can like Pavan on facebook and follow them on twitter or instagram (which, by the way, I’m obsessed with since it’s so beachy and dreamy… it’s so ME) and leave a comment saying you did so.
[Please be sure to leave a valid email address (where it says “email” in the comment section) so I can contact you if you win – your email will not show up in the public comment, will not be disclosed to anyone but me or used for anything else. The giveaway closes Thursday night and the winners will be contacted by email and announced on this post.
P.S. so much more Nantucket info to come. Man I loved that place.
[as a note, all of my favorite things were purchased by me. Pavan purchased the extras to give away to you guys.]

Wow take me there immediately! I never knew anything about Nantucket…now I MUST go. Looks like you had a good time!
I loooooooove the local bakeries! They almost have a cult following….
Nantucket is on my bucket list of places to visit!
you had me at merlot!
I was thinking the same thing when I was looking at the pictures and hearing about the “boutique-y” shops…it reminds me of Traverse City, MI, my hometown. It’s easy to take our beautiful bay town for granted (especially this time of year when you wish to run and hide from all the tourists.) Thank you for the reminder of how fortunate we are. :)
What a beautiful place. Makes me want to visit.
Nantucket looks like such a fun place to go! I’ll have to add it to my list. :)
LOVE the hydrangeas!! Tell your hubby to be patient. Also it all has something to do with the ph balance in the soil. That is the sum total of my knowledge. I have 1 gorgeous pink one in my yard now and once it took to my yard I have done zero to it.
Beautiful pics–would love to go there!! Perhaps someday!!
Wish my hydrangeas looked like that too!! Maybe the humidity helps?
I love this blog, Jessica! I’ve been a loyal reader for over a year. Thanks for all the amazing stories, photos, and recipes! :)
Hydrangeas are all about soil pH. That’s why they are blue in some areas and pink in others. You can change the color of your hydrangea with soil amendment. To get them that beautiful Nantucket blue try applying Hollytone in the spring and fall to lower the pH.
Bingo! :) Was gonna say this same thing.
Salted Caramel sauce, yes please!
Hydrangeas are my favorite flower! What a cheery pic to see to start my day-thanks!
I would love, love, love to go to Nantucket! I am a wedding stationery designer by day and I do tons of weddings in the Nantucket area and the photos always look so gorgeous! Can’t wait to see more.

Loving the pics! Hoping to visit Nantucket someday too!
I appreciate the Nantucket/northern MI similarities – now if I could just convince my East Coast friends to give it a shot!
I went to Nantucket for a wedding once but never really got to explore. It looks like you had so much fun!
Glad to see you had such a great time. Makes me miss home with all its small shops
Love Nantucket. Was lucky enough to rent a beach house there for three summers. Loved going to Great Point, collected stones in Wauwinet, walking the cobblestones and eating at the Fog Island Cafe.
Always wanted to go to Nantucket!
good luck to your husband with his hydrangeas….something tells me he will have his just as pretty by next year!
That looks like the most heavenly coffee!
Seriously! Can you just adopt me!?! These pictures are like my dream place! Thanks for the opportunity for some really amazing things! Those hydrangeas are tdf…
Can I just have a way to get the salted caramel?
Okay I want to go to Nantucket now! I love “Tuesday Things” and always spend lots of time exploring all your links…love the hydrangeas!

Fabulous pictures of your adventure !
Oh pick me for Nantucket goodies! I’m all the way on the west coast in Portland so it would be impossible to find most of that stuff out here. It looks scrumptious. :)
Nantucket goodies! Yum!
I seriously have always wanted to visit Nantucket! You are making me want to even more!! xoxo
I live in MA- like 45 minutes from the coast, even- and I’ve never been to Nantucket OR the Vineyard. Ugh I’m terrible. I would love a taste of the island :)
Oh, Gawwwd. My husband cannot keep me out of bakeries & foodie kitchen stores when we travel. Love the bike hydrangea pic. Classic!
I go to cape cod every year, but haven’t been to Nantucket in forever. Your pics make it look like a must!
He probably needs to add lime to the soil around his bush….it will happen! Love the shells!!
Your pictures make me want to go!
Nantucket has been one of my family favorites for a long time. Wish we were getting over there this summer. So glad you had fun!
This all looks so yummy! I can’t wait to read more!
