Hiiiii.
So. I know I’m not a huge giveaway person, but I am totally blown away by your support and love and all that jazz lately, especially for Seriously Delish and how you’ve completely changed my life. I want to do, well… SOMETHING for each and every one of you and since I can’t buy you all a cocktail with a hug, I figured a giveaway of my favorite things would have to do.
This giveaway is from ME to YOU. I want to show you how much I appreciate you coming here everyday, the encouragement you’ve given me and your all around virtual fabulousness. You really do complete me, Jerry Maguire style. THANK YOU!
See below on how to enter to win all of these goods!Â
1. This Rebecca Minkoff Crosby tote. It’s no secret how much I love love love my mac clutch bags and mini macs. And my cupid satchel. I love every bag she makes and am totally drooling over this for fall.
2. Jeni’s ice cream! 4 pints to be exact. This should last you, like… five minutes.
3. A Vitamix blender. I’ve become the biggest hypocrite on the planet because for years I said I’d never buy one and would rather buy shoes. But I took the plunge earlier this year and it was seriously LIFE CHANGING. Talk about the thickest milkshake-like smoothies and the creamiest soups. To die for.
4. One year subscriptions to my favorite foodie magazines: Donna Hay and Delicious. These are my go-to for photography inspiration. LOVE. Nothing else compares in my opinion.
5. A fit bit flex. It’s been close to a year since I’ve gone on and on about my fit bit. I completely adore it – not as a workout tool, but more so as a reminder to live an active lifestyle.
6. Two of my favorite books: the Flavor Bible and Bird by Bird. One of the most frequently asked questions I get is how do I come up with recipes – and one of the answers is the Flavor Bible! If I really want to make something with a certain ingredient, I’ll search it and see what flavors pair the best. And Bird by Bird… well it’s a classic that gets me through life. Pretty much.
7. Ummm…. chocolate? Do I really need to explain this one? This is one of my favorites. I need to share.
8. Gift cards to some of my favorite places: $50 to each. One to Sephora, one to Athleta and one to Starbucks. Because I’m a sucker. (if you don’t like coffee GET THE CROISSANT!)
And lastly – this colorful set of my favorite le pen pens and a moleskin notebook (MY LOVE!). It’s school supply time people!! But really, these pens are the bomb dot com. (sorry.)
To enter this giveaway, leave a comment below telling me your magic moment from this summer. Please be sure to leave a valid email address with your comment so I can contact you if you win! You can do so on amazon, barnes and noble or indiebound – and the book will be yours in less than TEN days! EEEEEK! I cannot thank you guys enough for helping me to make the book a bestseller. I also preordered on Amazon! Cannot wait!
The most magical part of my summer was probably my 4th of July weekend getaway to a family friend’s house in upstate NY.. so relaxing and just what I needed in the middle of this whirlwind summer!
The most magical moment for me this summer was at the top of Mt. Constitution, the highest point in the San Juan islands, where my husband and I were vacationing to celebrate our one-year anniversary – or, as we liked to call it, having our second honeymoon. Hiking that mountain was one of the hardest things we’ve done together, but it was worth it for the view from the top. The perfect way to celebrate our first year of marriage.
Sitting on a kayak on Saranac Lake in New York with one of the high school girls I mentor and talking about life. Gorgeous scenery, good company and encouraging conversation. Doesn’t get much better.
Can’t wait for the cookbook! eeeep!
White water rafting with my family, surviving and not falling in:)
My magic moment was late July, on vacation in FL with my husband, watching the sunset on Bonita Beach. Not a life changer, but a much needed, relaxing time with my husband, appreciating the beauty of where we were and being together.
My magic moment this summer was being around the campfire with all of my family making s’mores. Simply the best!
My magical moment came this summer when I decided to leave my job (of 14+ years) to spend more time with my boys. It was a giant leap of faith, but one I will never regret! Thanks for the oppprtunity to win such fun prizes!
My favorite moment of the summer was hearing my nephew say my name for the first time!
I preordered the book from amazon!
It’s winter here (or getting into spring) since I’m in the Southern Hemisphere (South Africa), but, as a former LA resident, a magical summer moment for me this winter was finding a real margarita at a Mexican restaurant in the middle of a cold Johannesburg winter.
My magic moment was taking a chance and turning down two job offers to try for my dream job, and getting it! It was totally stressful but turned out amazing in the end.
My magical summer moment was the long summer lake days, drinking lots of wine and cooking out on the small islands we’d park our boats!! I’ll miss the summer breezes and lake water in my face but next is fall!! Another fantastic time of the year!! You cookbook looks amazing and I will be purchasing!!
I saw seven movies at my favourite film festival, and my boyfriend came with me to six of them. This three-week festival is my Christmas, so to hear him say that it was HIS favourite thing from this summer was my magical moment.
I also pre-ordered the book in May! Can’t. Wait. :)
my magic moment of the summer might sound silly, but it was definitely when my husband and i had a picnic in the park with our in n out burgers while watching the sunset. super romantic :)
The best moment of my summer was when my boyfriend (now fiance I guessss) asked me to marry him! So excited to make everything in Seriously Delish, also so excited for you to have How Sweet Baby xo
My magic moment this summer was probably a long weekend in Montana for a friend’s wedding.
My magic moment this summer was realizing how grateful I am to have such great people in my life when i was walking along side the beach with the girls. It’s my fav moment of this summer. It’s the beach and the waves and the atmosphere, I don’t know, it just does something to ya!
My magical summer moments are the quiet ones – sitting on a pontoon in the middle of a sun-soaked lake, glass of wine in hand, watching the sun set, breathing in the lake-scented air… Heaven.

My magic moment was when my son caught his first fish. He’s 4 and the pure joy, excitement, and amazement on his face was the epitome of magic!
Vacation on Amelia Island. There’s nothing quite as magically as watching the first streaks of sunrise over the ocean. :)
Every minute with my husband was precious and magical, he leaves for a one year tour to Korean in a few weeks. We started a Sunday funday tradition of going to lunch on Sundays, and exploring all the new restaurants was so much fun! I pre ordered the book on Amazon and can’t wait to get it!
My favorite moment was last week when I got an offer for a job I really wanted!
This has been a summer full of firsts for me. It was my first summer away in college, my first full summer without my best friend, my first summer with a real grown up job in an office where I couldn’t wear flip flops and had to wear grown up clothes. But, for me, the most magical moment of my summer was learning how to cook. Of course, before going to college I could make grilled cheese and cupcakes (with loads of rainbow sprinkles), but after i left home, i learned how to live on my own. And creating dishes with so many different flavors in my tiny crappy kitchen with only a single pot, small baking sheet, and a 12 inch frying pan. It was not only the highlight of my summer, but also the confidence builder I needed to make a turning point in my new (grown up like) life. Congratulations for like the 100th time on Baby HowSweet
My favorite summer moment was seeing the sun set over Lake Eunice in Minnesota, where we’ve had a family cabin for over 50 years! Thanks for the giveaway. You are so generous!
The most magical moment of my summer happened just last week when my boyfriend and I said “I love you” to each other. We’ve both been wanting to say it to one another for awhile, and it finally happened. I’ve been smiling ear to ear ever since!
My most magical moment this summer was watching my 10 year old daughter’s face light up with joy when she swam at her first swim meet and dove off the blocks for the first time ever! It didn’t matter that she came in last place, I encouraged her to do her best, swim her heart out, and enjoy the adventure – and she did!
My most magical moment this summer was my son peeing in the potty. Sad but true.
My magic moment this summer was a day that was completely unplanned but turned out amazingly fun! My husband and I went down to Southside works to walk along the river, and ended up walking the whole way down to the Waterfront and back. By the time we got back there was live music in the square by the movie theatre and we sat and enjoyed it and then wandered down Carson St for dinner. It wasn’t fancy or expensive but it was a great day spent together!
Highlights from my summer: a trip to Nyc celebrating 2 years with my husband, reading great books (Sarah Pekkanen is now a favorite, thanks!), and Sunday afternoons in the backyard hammock.
You kind lady..doing this giveaway yourself..amazing.
Also, my magic moment (because this didn’t post the first time), was watching the sunset on Bonita Beach with my husband while on vacation. It was a much needed rest and relaxation trip for us, and I loved seeing the beauty and being together.
