I just wrote August. AUGUST! I am a month behind in life, gah.

But no, September! How can it be? What beauty things are you going crazy over right now? Pumpkin spice lip balm? I CAN’T. No no no.

Here are the things I loved and used all month, an itty bitty bit late. Ooooh and I’m still really liking the Urban Decay AfterDark matte lipstick. I’ve worn that color almost every single day this month when I’ve left the house. After a few times, it really started reminding me of MAC Rebel! But it’s much more comfortable than Rebel. And smoother too.

What else? Lots o’ fun:

Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray. After only using this sparingly the last few months, I had a few great uses for this recently and fell head over heels. Especially because I used this on straight hair AND curled hair! I love that it truly did what it says it does: added a bit of dry texture. No sticky feeling like dry shampoo sometimes can. Just this perfect textured piece-y-ness that is awesome.

Pixi Glow Tonic. This called my name in Target and even though I’m a slave to my Caudalie moisturizing toner, I wanted to try this on my face about two to three days a week. I’ve been using it and looooove it. It’s still kinda pricey for Target, but I swear my skin is slightly more glowy?

Amore Pacific Enzyme Peel. I had one of these before I got pregnant and then took a break while knocked up. This is such a lovely exfoliator and gentle enough for my sorta-sensitive skin. I use it about twice per week. I love that it comes out as a powder and then you mix it with water to crate the scrub. It’s really cool and feels soothing but also like it’s exfoliating. It’s a little on the fancy side but it’s one of those things that is making me feel pampered at the moment. I do like it better than any other face scrub I’ve recently tried.

Jo Malone Ginger Biscuit. I hate doing this to you because this has been discontinued for two years now (PUHLEASE bring it back) and this is my final bottle, over halfway gone. Boo. It’s the best warm, autumn scent. I mean, ginger biscuit? Jo Malone can do no wrong, ever. If this comes back into play, you must get it. I can’t live without it and now must hoard the rest for scent nostalgia purposes.

Nails Inc Bamboo White. A little piece of me hates myself for buying this. I held out for a year and then caved. Right now I’m obsessing over nude nail polish or something? I really love nude nails on hands and dark on toes or vice versa. I’ve heard about this shade forever and whoa… it’s gorgeous. Totally works on my pale skin, it’s not streaky and it’s just so pretty. Looks a little more pinky nude on my skin tone.

Essie Frock n roll. For my dark! I actually bought this back in August but waited until this month to wear it. It’s sort of brownish-purpleyish with rose gold sparkle? Very very pretty.

MAC Mehr lipstick. I’ve had this shade for two years and have always been on the fence (obviously, judging by the amount used). The whole brown lipstick trend thing doesn’t look great with my coloring at all, but I have REALLY been liking this shade this month if I don’t won’t to go as bold as the After Dark listed above. I like this best with no shadow, huge lashes and some bronzer. I don’t love it with a bolder eye look.

Benefit Gimme Brow. I know I know I know. It’s like the fourth time I’m mentioning this but OMG. I think in the last two months, I’ve only filled in my brows with a brush + shadow ONCE. That is huge. I recently bought a new one of these and didn’t realize how fabulous it is once replaced. It absolutely gives my brows enough definition for everyday. And if you’re freaked out about bold brows, try the lighter shade or a super light hand. Seriously, this stuff is amazing.

Marc Jacobs Highliner pencil is jazz berry. Um, hello. JAZZ BERRY?! Best name ever. This is a plummy shade that looks good with my green eyes. Seriously, I’m pretty sure that back in the day I read in a tween magazine that purple shades worked on green eyes and I have always ran with it. Also, these crayons are really comfortable to use on the eyes!

MAC Warm Soul blush. This is an oldie but goodie, and I needed a blush change. I like this for fall since it has a bit of shimmer. It kind of reminds me of Tarte Exposed, but slightly peach-ier and lightly highlighting. Sort of like an autumn bronzer?

Hourglass Icon Lipgloss. I LOVE this product and the icon shade is perfect for the chillier weather – it’s a bit more brick red than the brighter red I was wearing in summer. This stuff also feels nice on the lips compared to all the matte liquid lipsticks that are out.

And that’s a wrap!

So what’s on your current list? Ummm I already have a running list on my phone about what I want to get from the VIB sale. First up: the Tom Ford Noir for women. I sprayed it on my arm last week and could not stop smelling it. Freaking love!
