Tuesday Things.
1. These breakfast cookies are what I’m planning on making today. Ugh, they sound fantastic. And super easy!
2. Current avocado toast obsession (since it basically has it’s own category in my life now): super thinly sliced cucumbers, drizzle of toasted sesame oil, sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds. DO it.
3. So. One of my “resolutions” was/is to clean as I go and it is finally changing my life. I don’t do it on big recipe days because that’s near impossible but I’m doing it in everyday life and it’s actually working. Who knew? You knew. That’s who.
4. My friend Andie is giving deets on her cookbook today and GUYS, it is amazing. I’ve had a peek and the food is unreal.
5. You know what I’m really kind of over? Bacon in my dessert. Don’t get me wrong – this will probably lead to some wild idea and in two weeks I’ll be sharing a bacon treat with you. But now? Meh.
6. The internet has ruined most communication for me, because I was definitely the tween who spent countless hours on the phone talking to her friends. But now? This is my life.
7. TV! Did you watch Billions? Eddie and I super loved it. Like are really into after only one episode! Even though I refer to the characters as Brody (from Homeland) and Tara (from SOA). Also I’m thinking I might binge on The Americans, because so many of you have told me to watch it and I’m feeling super Felicity-nostalgic right now.
8. Eddie is still doing yoga every single day. It’s awesome, but also hilarious, because he will tell you that he’s the least flexible person on the planet. We did yoga once together years ago and I had to stop ten minutes in because I was laughing so hard. But this past weekend he was even nailing crow pose! I think it’s making him more chill too? Maybe?
9. 22 tiny things you should do everyday. Number 8 oh heck YES.
10. Hair wraps!!, number 24 – these were the things of life in the summer and when school would start back up, because hello, it meant you had been to the beach. Raise your hand if you HAD to have a hair wrap. Pretty sure my mom only let me get one once.
11. Is anyone else in Pittsburgh completely devastated at the closing of Marty’s Market? Ugh! Why universe, why?

Marty’s Market is closing?!?!? I had no idea!! This makes me so sad!!
This is serious avo-porn. Thanks for providing the goods.
1) You read my mind! I remember seeing that breakfast cookie recipe and wanting to make them but couldn’t remember what blog it was from! I bought the TJ’s super seed mix on Saturday, hoping I’d remember. Thank you!
2) I’ve been needing to switch up my daily avo toast routine and toasted sesame anything is LIFE. Doing it tomorrow.
3) I’ve started cleaning as I go on meal prep days and some blog days and it makes me feel 100% better too. I hate being done with cooking and everything and having 21974983278 dirty dishes and appliances staring at me.
7) I’ve never seen Felicity but my friend just gave me the seasons on DVD yesterday to watch. I am starting it tonight. Also, you should totally binge on Americans. It’s SO good.
9) Loved it!
10) LOL hair wraps were most definitely a phase in my life. My mom always hated letting me get them, knowing she had to spend hours unraveling it haha.
Avocado toast is a breakfast MUST for me, thanks for sharing babe x
I had NO idea Martys was closing! I had plans to go there this saturday before the Pens game. This seriously hurts my heart, I’ve had dreams about this place! Ugh. This sucks.
Side note, I’ve started watching the affair and I’m only 3 episodes in and I really want to know who is dead.
I binged on The Americans over Thanksgiving and it was really good. But Keri Russel definitely sheds her sweet Felicity in this series.
I’m bummed about Marty’s Market. I first heard about the place through your blog post and I dragged friends there with me, who love the place now too! Sad :(
I was excited to see you featured on Yahoo Foods today! it was like that moment when you say “I KNOW THAT PERSON!!!!” hahaha. Well deserved feature!
Those cookies are such an awesome breakfast idea! Have been wanting  to do a post on quick and healthy breakfasts for the kiddos and these  would be such a perfect addition. Thanks for the link!
OMG YES about Billions!!!! That first scene, though, a helluva way to start a show! But he knows what he likes I guess. and yes I still call them Brody and Tara.
I’m definitely trying out your avocado toast recipe, it sounds to die for!

Omg hair mascara! I completely forgot about that! I had a few colors I remember blue and red. This would be so weird now! :) I never had the hair wrap maybe it was too much of a (hair) commitment for me! lol
9. I totally just did number eighteen on that list. Love that!
Marty’s Market is closing?!!? NOO! They had such an awesome breakfast!
My husband came to yoga with me once and he fell asleep during savasana, started snoring, and I heard him and busted out laughing. My yoga teacher was super serious and said it’s natural to fall asleep… which just made me laugh more.Â
Does Eddie use a dvd for his yoga workout? I am looking for a good one to buy.
I’m really sad Marty’s is closed and it was so abrupt. I was I there on Friday getting citrus to make Palomas and on Monday all their windows were covered up with paper :(
I really loved reading “22 tiny things” this morning. I do a lot on the list but I am definitely going to incorporate this into my life! Thank you for sharing : )
Loved Billions, did you know the second show is On Demand already!
#8 – It’s been hilarious to see Eddie’s captions when he posts pics of the yoga he’s supposed to be doing on snapchat. This weekend my hubby and I are going on a little vaca and I am trying to talk him into going to yoga with me. ANY ADVICE?!? haha, this should be good though, hope I don’t die laughing.
#9 – pretty sure that’s the best article ever, yes to #9, my eyes twitch because I’m so glued to the computer – it’s super hot j/k. And did you see #13? Mind blowing – drink a cup of coffee before a nap to wake up more refreshed? I need to test that out!
Happy Tuesday (p.s, you make me look forward to Tuesdays even though they’re the most boring days ever, this week I’m just a day late reading.)
Marty’s Market closed?! Boo. Their pancakes were soo good!
totally agree with that list especially 15. Â i work with so many people that seems to be in a pissing contest to see who can send the latest work email. Â i seriously have several emails in my inbox from this week that were sent between midnight and 2 AM. Â WHY??????????????
I am loving Billions. My husband is calling them Brody and Tara too. Â Watch The Americans, it is so great. I just binge watched The Affair over Christmas because of your posts and it’s fantastic!
Marty’s Market closing?!?! I am so so sad!!! I live in NC and my boyfriend is from Pittsburgh and I drug him there a few times after your posts about it!!! I sure am going to miss it when I visit him. :((((((
I had never heard of Marty’s, but I’m always interested in Pbh things as I have spent lots of time in the city. My mother is from there and Pittsburgh’er through and through (minus the use of yinz) and my grandparents met at Duquesne. So, with my already deep love for the city as well as being nosy about those things as I am, I had to check out the article about them I found from the Post-Gazette. It totally brought me back to when I was younger- every time we would go “down the yards” (do people say that anymore?) we would always, always stop at the Candy-Rama warehouse, and of course, one time we went and it had CLOSED! Talk about devastation- I think the adult-equivalent that would be as bad would be if the Italian import store down there closing. I could seriously sit in that store all day and just smell things- it is seriously like a drug. Wait, who am I kidding, I still am sad about Candy-Rama at 31 years old!
As a die hard Keri Russell AKA Felicity fan, I say you MUST watch the Americans. It is one of the best shows on TV! Also, the Vikings on the History channel is actually AMAZING too. Reminds me of Game of Thrones, minus dragons and naked people everywhere.
Loved reading your list of “22 tiny little things to try everyday”!  They were all on  target and I too am stuck on number 8.  Thanks for sharing!
