I don’t know if it’s a lack of memorable gifts or if none of them stuck with me, but I don’t have a Christmas gift memory to share. I do thoroughly enjoy giving gifts and am proud to say I can usually find a gift someone loves that they wouldn’t have found, or bought, for themselves.
My husband is probably my best gift ever… born on Christmas Day!
When I was 10 years old: A huge stuffed hippo from Costco I named Zippo. I had found her in the store in September, begged my mom to buy it for me, and three months later when I woke up during the night on Christmas eve Zippo was sitting on my bed with a tag around her neck that said, “Mommy, Mommy, I want my Mommy!” 16 years later I still have her.
My son, born on December 17 almost 8 years ago!
A Sunshine Family Dollhouse back in the 70’s! Hahaha, I loved that thing so much.
One of my favorite gifts was my grandma’s ring after she passed away. It’s gold with a gorgeous emerald in the center. I had to have it majorly size down haha, but it is still one of my favorite things to wear.
Oh gosh, that’s tough. I think the kitchen aid stand mixer was pretty great from my then boyfriend now husband. At the time I was upset he got me something for “the house” but now I look back and think how wonderful it is to have! At the time it was a lot of money for a guy just out of college, so he must have really thought I was a catch haha!
A very comfortable throw blanket that I got from my boyfriend.
Finding out we were pregnant with my little miracle😊
My super warm acorn slippers. Anything that keeps my ankles warm is my favorite!
My boyfriend gave me a copy of one of his mystery books he read as a child since we both were into mystery series as little kids.
My best holiday gift was an airplane ticket to visit my father in China who I hadn’t seen in many years.
My absolute best holiday gift ever was a brand new kitchen and being able to share it with friends and family last night at our annual Chanukah party!
Every year my family does an ornament exchange – these are my favorite gifts every year. When decorating the tree every year it’s always fun to unpack and remember the memory of every ornament.
I got a brand new computer one year, that my dad helped me build!
My favorite gift is my fiesta ware collection that my whole family got me and I’ve used them ever since!
I don’t really remember a specific gift, but I do remember my brother waiting for me to open our stockings and making cinnamon rolls together on Christmas mornings. Still one of my favorite memories and that’s enough of a gift for me.
The best holiday gift I received was probably tickets to see Taylor Swift when I was 15 or so. Experience presents can’t be beat!
I have already pre-ordered The Pretty Dish and forwarded the e-mail!
I got all sorts of fun stuff as a kid: bike, BB gun, trampoline. But as an adult, I realize the best part of all those Christmases was being with my family!
The best holiday gift I ever received was from my then-best-friend (now husband). My favorite book was falling apart, and he snuck it out of my house and had it repaired. It meant so much to me.
I pre-ordered the book!
a lovely black MK dress that a dear friend sent
I was surprised with a combined gift from my husband & family of a new laptop. The best part was that it was all set up, all the files already loaded, and I just had to turn it on & go!
Boy, that’s a tough question. The first year we were dating, my husband got me a bunch of gifts for Christmas that showed how much he listened to me and paid attention to my interests, and I still remember how loved I felt. But I’m sure many of the gifts I got as a kid were just as exciting – like the year my aunts took me and my cousin to see the Rockettes (I desperately wanted to be one).
Probably a bike when I was a child. It was the most memorable one anyway!
I already Follow you on both and have preordered my book! Favorite gift is getting PTO from work to spend the time with my loved ones.
Hmmmm the best gift I’ve ever received was honestly, probably an easy bake oven back in the day. I guess you can say my love for food and baking was established at an early age!
best holiday gift i’ve ever received is my kitchenaid mixer
My mom surprised me and my brother with a Christmas trip to Pittsburgh to see the Penguins play. Mind you, this was when NO ONE went to Penguins games! We lived in West Virginia, about four hours from the city, and while we went to lots of our local ECHL games, we’d never been to an NHL game before. This was my first taste of Pittsburgh. I remember looking at and being in awe of the city at Christmas – the (then Kaufmann’s) windows, the Creche in front of the U.S. Steel Tower, and more. We went back almost every year after, and I ultimately ended up going to Duquesne before moving away after graduation for a job opportunity.
I received a Le Creuset dutch oven last year and it is so beautiful. I’ve definitely used it all throughout the year!
Best holiday present I ever received was a spa weekend with my mom prior to my wedding – so special! I follow you on both! xo
My mother-in-law gifted us a kitchen aid mixer! So awesome and generous!
The best holiday gift I received was tickets to The Nutcracker.
The best holiday gift I ever received was my job promotion after 6 years of hard work!
The best holiday gift I have ever received is the one I’m getting this year. I was telling my mother I wanted to go to Ireland and she has booked our trip and we will be going to 10 cities in 8 days!! We aren’t going until June but it’s my favorite Christmas present !!!
My most memorable gift I’ve ever received is a cookbook from my sister in law. It meant a lot simply because she got something for me that I really enjoy doing which is baking👩🏻🍳
The best gift I ever received were super bowl tickets for my dad and I. We had looked into getting them all year and decided not to but my mom surprised us with tickets for Christmas! It was incredible!
One year a boy I was dating gave me a wooden rose he carved. He had never carved anything before, and his spirit, to believe that he could take on such a task despite never doing it before, inspired me.
I lost my dad 2.5 years ago and he was still a young man, so the best gift has been being able to spend Christmas’s with my family and being in their presence not just the presents, making the memories while we can (some not all great there’s a few catasophies in there too ;) )
Best Christmas gift ever was when I was a kid… MY SIZE BARBIE! I was so excited and told all my friends “see this is why Santa IS real cause this cost a million dollars and Daddy doesnt have that kind of money and Santa can get it for free!” It was awesome.
Already preordered THE PRETTY DISH! March 20th baby!
It was probably my purple cabbage patch bike when I was 6 years old!
The best gift I have ever recieved was a north face jacket when I moved from Southern California to the east coast.
A Kitchenaid Mixer!!
My scanpans…:)
My mom made a t-shirt quilt full of my favorite childhood memories!
So tough to pick just one! But the best gift I received was a pair of mittens my mom had made out of one of my dad’s old wool sweaters the year he passed away. They mean so so much to me and make me happy every time I put them on!
I got engaged in the holiday season! Best gift!
The best holiday gift I ever received was when my husband proposed to me on New Year’s. It true was the best gift, because the last 10 years have been so amazing, and now this New Years, we are expecting our second child!
