10 Items I got at the Sephora VIB Sale!
As promised, here is what I grabbed at the sephora VIB sale!
Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Metallic Taupe. I use the version of this in amethyst almost every day. I love these, whether it’s all over the lid of as eyeliner!
Fresh Rice Sake Bath. My favorite is FINALLY back in stock! It was out of stock for over a year and I’ve missed it. Super excited!
Sunday Riley A+ Retinol Serum. I’ve bit the bullet and am trying retinol! It was between this and Drunk Elephant and I went with this one based on friends’ recommendations.
Biossance Squalane + Phyto Retinol Serum. I also am trying this based on lots of recs!
La Mer Creme de La Mer Mini. I’ve never (ever) tried a La Mer product, and since a mini was offered, I finally went for it.
Marc Jacobs Eyeconic Elec-trick Palette. Given my recent obsession with the steeletto palatte, and how much I love the Marc Jacobs palettes, I couldn’t say no.
Sol de Janiero Biggie Biggie Bum Bum Cream. Most of you know my obsession with this cream. While I try to only use it in the spring and summer (because I’m a scent-nostalgia freak), I was completely out of it and was thrilled to see a jumbo version.
Laniege Lip Sleeping Mask in Mint Chocolate Chip. Obsessed with these, use them every night. Max loves them too and I know he will go crazy over this flavor.
Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask. I got the regular and the mini size of this for travel. It’s amazing if you have dry skin.
Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask. Another jumbo mask! This is one of the only masks I use and it’s fantastic.

I bought the Briogeo Revive and Repair duo (micro-exfoliating shampoo and deep conditioner mask – both smell amazing), stocked up on the SkinFix Resurface Glycolic Scrub and my fave Benefit brow gel and pencil, and grabbed a couple Kosas lipsticks. I’ve gotten freaked out reading how much lipstick the average woman consumes in her lifetime, so I’m trying to transition to non-toxic/organic ones, lol.
Oh my gosh! I got a sample of the Summer Fridays Jet Lag mask this summer and used it while I was in a hotel where my skin normally gets so dry. It was amazing. And then I forgot about it until just now, so thank you for the reminder. I will have to get the full size!
I just got Drunk Elephant protini. Been using the Lalaretro for a while and love it but thought it’s time to give protini a try. And also the Farmacy green clean makeup removing balm. Oh and I might still grab a olaplex no.3 hair perfector. Love that stuff.

Since I’m Rouge this year (yikes) I went all out for this sale – I purchased your fav and mine Drunk Elephant “The Littles Set” travel kit – I love it!! I don’t have to worry about having the “right size” going though TSA, and I know I’m covered day/night while I’m traveling!
Also, I just started by daughter on La Mer products (this one hurt a bunch in the pocket book, but where else am I going to get La Mer for 20% off). She is using the LA MER The Concentrate and The Moisturizing Cool Gel Cream, I bought them for her he acne scaring – she loves how her face feels – we will have to see if we notice any scaring diminishes…
I’m so afraid to try the La Mer anything because I’m sure I will just love it and be sad I can’t keep up with paying for it. :)
Keep us posted on the retinol, I’m using Drunk Elephant, but have been curious about the Sunday Riley one! I bought Drunk Elephant’s Baby Facial and Vitamin C serum, as well as Olaplex 3, 4, 5 hair products and lastly Maison Louis Marie no. 4 perfume oil.
You got some great stuff.
I ordered a mini version of the Fresh Sugar Polish (always good to have).
The Glow Recipe Blueberry cleanser (mini size) to give it a try.
Full size of the Glow Recipe Watermelon moisturizer (I have oily skin and is fantastic).
I am a fan of the Coco Cabana Cream (the blue one) and I got both a full size and redeemed some points for a mini one. IN LOVE WITH THIS!!
I took this opportunity to finally try some more Briogeo stuff and ordered the Scalp treatment travel kit.
And for the first time I am trying some Fenty. I ordered the Blotting Powder which is supposed to be great for my oily skin glow that pops up throughout the day.
I picked as few of the Sephora brand masks (Green Tea, Pineapple & Algae).
I am now addicted to the OUAI spray leave in conditioner and picked up a back up bottle.
And finally just to try some new stuff I ordered the Sephora Favorites Skin Wonderland Set.

la Mer products don’t have the best ingredients :The price really is shocking considering that Crème de la Mer contains mostly seaweed extract, mineral oil, Vaseline, glycerin, wax-like thickening agents, lime extract, plant oils, plant seeds, minerals, vitamins, more thickeners, and preservatives. This rather standard moisturizer also contains some good antioxidants, but the jar packaging won’t keep them stable during use. This also contains a skin-stressing amount of eucalyptus oil, as well as Kathon CG, a preservative that is recommended for use only in rinse-off products.”
i got way to much stuff. several gifts like olaplex gift set and mascara gift set (and maybe 1 for me). Some mens things from Keilhs and supergood unseen sunscreen since thats the only one my boyfriend is willing to wear on his face on a day to day basis. Also go the steeleto palette to give as a gift on your reco.
For myself i got the marc jacobs fondation brush and i love it ! worth the $ for sure. i picked up the banana brightening eye cream. i hate that its in a pot but i do like the product. also got the bite beauty 4 pack of mini lipsticks and i like 3 of the 4 so i call that a win!
i also got a few things im returning like Laura Mercier candle glow powder and almond/coconut bubble bath. I didnt like either of those. Also, Tacha dewy skin mist. almost $50 for what feels like water in a not great spray bottle. I just feel like it did nothing ? Does anyone have any recos for good skin mist or powder that is luminous ? i use a full coverage foundation for the coverage but do not like the matte look, especially with my dry winter skin. i want coverage but glow ? is that a thing ? help ?
The Ordinary makes a really great retinol and it is SO CHEAP!
