A Week In The Life, Vol 17.
17 weeks in to 2020! How is this possible?
I don’t know what happened this week! I feel like I barely captured any photos. I forgot to take photos as we ate! I had a busy work week. It seems like the whole week went by in a blur. At the same time each week drags on and on and on.
It was nice outside early in the week! SO we played and ate clementines.
Quick kid lunch. Quesadilla, cucumbers, guac, done!
I have reached the phase of life where I’m buying my kids temporary tattoos. I swore I never would and well, here we are.
P.S. Max is obsessed with superhero shirts and has to wear one every day.
Emilia rocking the high pony!
We ordered pizza one night this week. It was fine.
And did lots of school projects and fun worksheets. This isn’t school related, but Max loves super heroes, monster trucks, etc – so we’ve found worksheets and coloring pages online to print out for him. They keep him engaged for a long time, even if he whines because he’s using Emilia’s jumbo crayons. KIDS! Ha.
Eddie’s parents bought him a dinosaur terrarium for Easter and this has been SUCH a fun project to watch, especially since we’re home all day! That’s how much it has grown in two weeks.
Emilia is obsessed with sitting with Max during his zoom class. Except then she screams out all of his friends names. It’s adorable.
New life! This is a bird’s nest from my mom’s front door and isn’t it amazing how they make these nests? I only say that because birds have been trying to build nests on our patio ceiling fan and the things they drag in are crazy! It’s incredible they build something like this.
I don’t even want to tell you how many failed sourdough loaves I had this week. I think it was three. The above is obviously not sourdough… it’s pizza dough, but it’s still hanging out in the fridge. I have an idea for it!
We also have music class on zoom each week. Emilia adores her puppies. She sleeps with about ten of them.
Garlic butter mushrooms for life.
This was Eddie’s dinner that he was so proud of on Friday night. He ordered the Dianoia’s steak dinner!
I wasn’t into that dinner at all, but I was very into this aperol spritz.
This made me happy.
And this made me happier! Saturday morning bread.
And perfect chocolate chip cookies.
Smoothie bowls for breakfast.
We spent the ENTIRE day outside on Saturday. It was amazing. We opened every window in the house and the fresh air was incredible. It was the first day that felt semi-normal and almost hopeful since everything started. It was just a really good day!
I think the kids have enough chalk.
Cuuuute.
Heart explosion.
Sunday! We had turkey meatballs, salad and sweet potatoes.
These chips are from ALDI and they are dangerous. That is all I have to say about that.
We’re rolling into next week like…
xoxo!

That girl could not be more your child if you had custom-ordered her! Love!
bahahaha!!! love that!
I love seeing you support DiAnoia’s! My husband is the bread manager there and finally got to return to work last week after a month and a half of furlough. It makes me happy to see all of the support and business they’re getting right now (and it is personally helping our family – so thank you!)
Have a great week,
Sarah
oh my gosh!!! really?! sometimes we have ordered there twice a week! it’s so incredible. i’m trying to convince eddie to get the gnocchi bread bowl meal this week. haha! xoxoxo
I love this entire post; but I especially love all of Emilia’s outfits/accessories and what you said about birds’ nests.
:)
Love Emilia’s accessories as always. Loved the sunshine this week too. Now its gonna rain most of the week. Can’t wait to see what you make with the pizza dough. Sidewalk chalk is the best, who drew that police car?
eddie did! he is a fantastic drawer/artist and makes the most fun creations for the kids on the driveway! it’s always sad when the rain comes. :)
I am usually like “meh” for Monday’s
BUT your “A Week in the Life” posts make my Monday joyful!

Omg couldn’t get spritz off the brain after you posted yours and drank them all weekend (or as much as I could) the bottle i got from the store was all dusty, so I think it might be a little for spritz season in Michigan, but I don’t care, it was worth it!
Also, those shoes in the bread picture!
Also, Trader Joe’s has similar Elote corn chips (at least I assume they taste similar) And they are AmAzInG! So dangerous because we have a couple Aldi but the closest TJs is an hour away…

Question! Where are you getting these delicious acai bowls from?? We got take-out from Salud in Sewickley on Saturday. Love theirs but always on the lookout for other ones in the area! Thanks!
What are those cute animal print shoes?
PRICELESS!
The stacked bracelets – slay me!!!
Where are those chocolate chip cookies from?! They look amazing!
is that nest in the wreath on the door ? i only ask because that happened to me at my old house, birds build a nest in my wreath and i loved it…UNTIL….the birds hatched got a little bigger and sh*t ALL OVER the place. my door was covered, the wreath ruined, my front door mat ruined, and THE SMELL was no freaking joke.
just a warning !
also that last pic !
